Aaron looked at Mia. Mia was smiling and didn’t give him a look or any change in expression.
Aaron turned to Justin Kingston and asked, "Do you rember the ’Star of the Ocean’? The largest diamond in the world."
"I didn’t win it at the auction back then; it’s sothing I’ve never gotten over." Justin smiled, though inside he felt a hint of regret.
"There’s no need to be troubled." Aaron’s gaze fell on the woman, and he chuckled lightly, "Soday, let your wife take a look at it."
Mia couldn’t help but laugh.
Justin was slightly stunned. He glanced at the man sitting across from him and then looked at the woman beside him again, "You have it?"
Mia took a sip of tea and t his shocked gaze, "Yes, Aaron helped buy it at the ti. I didn’t expect you wanted it too. But given our relationship back then, even if I had known, I wouldn’t have handed it over."
Justin seed to understand sothing, took a sip of tea, and said to Aaron, "You prioritize romance over friendship." How else could Aaron help her with sothing like that if their relationship wasn’t special?
He would surely want it himself.
"Let’s not speculate yet." Aaron smiled warmly, "Let show you sothing first."
He took out a box and placed it on the coffee table, pushing it toward them, "Open this and take a look."
The two sitting across from him were a bit surprised, as the box looked very out of place.
It wasn’t sothing soone like Aaron should have.
Mia put down her teacup, picked up the box, and opened it. When she saw the bracelet and ring inside, she was completely shocked!
"How did it get to you?" She didn’t need to touch it; she had her eyes on those items the whole ti and could recognize them in an instant.
"Do you know Hailey Hale?" Aaron asked as he leisurely took a sip of tea.
Justin took the box from his wife’s hands, "What’s it got to do with her?"
"She sold it to ," Aaron said.
"..."
Justin and Mia both found it unbelievable and paused to think for a mont.
"Impossible," Mia imdiately denied. "Hailey’s not like that, and she never had access to the jewelry."
Justin asked, "Are there any photos?"
At this point, Aaron’s assistant ca over and handed them a printed photo.
When the couple saw the face in the photo, they fell silent.
The assistant took back the photo, "CEO Kingston, we’ve had soone watch her 24/7. She plans to make a run for it early tomorrow morning."
Justin truly didn’t expect Barbara Sutton to have such guts.
Mia told Aaron, "This woman’s not called Hailey Hale. She’s Barbara Sutton, who used to be Monica Usher’s assistant and recently got fired."
"I’m curious how she switched them out or... how she stole them?" Aaron asked with interest. "Did you not notice at all?"
"They were switched," Justin said. "It’s only possible during the filming of the promotional video."
"Aaron, thank you," Mia expressed her gratitude, feeling a wave of fear. "If you hadn’t told us or if these pieces fell into soone else’s hands, The Kingston Group would have been in big trouble during the new product launch."
They knew that if others had ill intentions, they would definitely expose that The Kingston Group was selling fake jewelry at such an important event, and once the promotional video was shot, these pieces wouldn’t be shown anymore.
Aaron reported in advance, "She only sold two pieces, but as everyone knows, you put out a four-piece set. So where are the other two pieces?"
Justin took out his phone, dialed a number in the jewelry storage room, and instructed in a low voice, "Check that four-leaf clover set. The ring and bracelet have been switched. What’s the situation with the earrings and necklace?"
