A girl in a blue skirt suit sat on a lounge chair, holding a phone in one hand and a glass of milk brought by a servant in the other.

Her gaze fell on the girl across the pool who was helping with the detailed preparations for the party.

Jocelyn Morgan asked, "And did you bring your girlfriend back?"
"No."
"Why not?" she asked anxiously, eyes wide, "Why didn’t you take this great opportunity to bring her? Are you really as they say—didn’t even have a girlfriend in the first place to refuse lissa?"
"Who said that?" Finn caught the key point.
"The rcer family elders. I heard them say if you didn’t bring your girlfriend ho today, it ans you don’t have one at all, just using it as an excuse to dodge lissa."
"Childish," Finn dismissed it, "Do you believe it?"
"I don’t trust their judgnt." Jocelyn smiled brightly, "Adults are always so self-assured, they don’t understand young people’s thoughts at all. But brother, why didn’t you bring her back?"
"She has more important things to do," Finn answered seriously.
The girl pouted a bit disappointedly, "I was really looking forward to eting her. My brother’s girlfriend must be sothing special!"
"There will be chances in the future," Finn told her, "You can also co to Riventhal to visit."
"Sure!" Jocelyn saw lissa walking over and quickly said, "Brother, the rcer family arrived here early, acting like it’s their own place."
"I know," Finn’s tone remained flat, "How’s Grandpa?"
"Grandpa is in an unusually good mood today. Zachary has been chatting with him, even gifted him two very old ginseng roots, making Grandpa extrely happy," the girl said with a slightly teasing tone.

Jocelyn said to Finn, "I’ll hang up now, drive safely."
"Okay."
lissa sat down beside her and asked, "Were you calling your brother? Where’s he now?"
"He just dropped off his girlfriend," Jocelyn grinned, eting her gaze, "He’s on his way here, don’t worry, he’ll be back soon enough."
The words ’girlfriend’ pierced lissa’s heart!
Jocelyn laughed and said, "My brother really dotes on this girlfriend, she said not to pick her up, but he insisted on doing it anyway. I bet my brother won’t be staying here overnight today."
lissa’s expression changed slightly, "...Where is Hailey Hale going?"
The girl turned her eyes a bit surprised, "You even know her na? So you’ve t her?"
