The night grew deeper.
Lydia Ingram returned ho, so upset today that he hadn’t eaten. He took a hot bath and erged to take an ’82 Lafite from the wine cabinet, together with a goblet, to the window.
The bright moonlight fell on him, and though it was a beautiful night, he felt absolutely awful.
Even the air seed to be filled with a maddening vibe.
Soon, the phone rang, but his brow did not smooth out.
Lydia Ingram took a sip of wine, calmly put down the goblet, and picked up his phone from the coffee table. It was a call from the detention center.
He hesitated for a few seconds, ntally prepared himself, answered, and switched to speaker, "Hello."
Putting the phone back on the coffee table, he sat down in the sofa, and poured so wine into his glass from the bottle in his hand.
"Lydia Ingram," Monica Usher’s pained voice ca through, "What kind of cigarettes did you give ? Why is it so agonizing to stop for just half a day? Send cigarettes now..."
Her voice was trembling with an unbearable, frantic vibe passing over.
Soon after, her groan was distinctly heard.
Lydia Ingram’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, calmly saying, "Just ordinary cigarettes; it’s all in your mind. Write your confession; your attitude determines your future."
With that, he hung up the phone.
Monica Usher, though uncomfortable, still had a thread of rationality and grasped the deeper aning.
She also understood it was not just ordinary cigarettes, but Lydia Ingram did not want to be dragged down.
In the detention center, Monica Usher, holding the disconnected phone, was overwheld and slumped over the table corner, "Water, water quickly..."
She had strong willpower!
She must save herself! If she confessed Lydia Ingram’s cris, there would be nobody to rescue her.
The prison guard poured her a glass of water, and Monica Usher almost hallucinated.
Her outstretched hand wavered in the air, unable to grasp the cup.
She saw seven or eight overlapping cups... just like the moon in the water, unreachable.
"Water, give water..." A heat was boiling in her body, she needed to dilute it!
Her throat felt as if it would catch fire!
The guard squatted down and brought the water cup to her lips, observing her expression up close, relying on experience to judge.
Monica Usher grabbed the cup and drank in gulps!
"Cigarettes, give cigarettes..." she was still frantic, "Just ordinary ones!"
The two guards exchanged glances, one said, "This is a detention center, no cigarettes allowed!"
With that, they turned and left, instructing at the door, "Keep a close watch, report any incidents truthfully."
"Yes."
Then they departed.
"Should we report to CEO Kingston?" One of them questioned, "She obviously has withdrawal symptoms, but is unaware, having inhaled it passively."
The other checked the ti on his wrist, "It’s late, let’s report tomorrow."
"Alright."
And so, this matter wasn’t imdiately reported to Justin Kingston.

In a hospital ward, Finn Morgan stood by lissa rce’s bed, watching her lie unconscious, hoping she would wake up soon, hoping she was unscathed, hoping that she would be happy and joyous for the rest of her lifeti.

Sitting on the office chair, her legs casually propped on the desk, leaning back into the chair, arms folded across her chest!
He gestured to the security guards trailing behind from the door, and only then did they turn to leave.
"I want to see Justin Kingston!" Hailey declared directly, full of montum and boldness, "Bring him over imdiately!"
