Early in the morning, Justin Kingston had just entered the CEO’s office.
His private phone rang, and seeing the caller ID showed it was the detention center’s number, he picked up while walking to his desk.
The caller reported—
"CEO Kingston, Monica Usher had a drug relapse last night. Test results showed her blood contained drug substances. Her history of drug use is approximately six months."
Upon hearing this, Justin wasn’t surprised at all.
It’s a case of "near to ink, makes you black," staying with Lydia Ingram, it’s considered fortunate not to be dragged down.
"CEO Kingston." The caller continued, "We conducted a full body examination on her and found out she’s pregnant."
This took Justin by surprise, "Are you sure?"
"Very sure."
"..." Justin leaned back in his chair, fiddling with a pen in his other hand, "Whose child is it? Did she say?"
"I just got the results, she might not even know she’s pregnant yet."
So, is it Lydia Ingram’s?
After ending the call, Justin fell into deep thought, rembering that night at The Sovereign Club...
All this ti, has she not noticed?
Or maybe she later got involved again with Lydia...
Justin squinted slightly as Mia Lane walked in with a docunt.
"What’s wrong?" She saw his frown easing, "Troubled so early in the morning?"
"Monica Usher might be released on bail pending trial." Justin told her, "She’s pregnant."
Mia was stunned for a few seconds, "Is the child Lydia Ingram’s?"
"Highly likely."
"..."
Mia felt it was a sha, "She brought it on herself, turning her life into this."
"I’m only concerned if she will face the consequences of her actions." Justin was losing patience with her, "Barbara Sutton was also hard by her, who knows how many more people she might harm in the future."
"The chance of being released on bail is very high, this child saved her life. Hopefully she’ll reflect during these ten months."
Justin emphasized, "No matter how much reflection, I have no intention of letting her off."
And Mia wouldn’t plead for her either.

Just then, an aide knocked and entered, "CEO Kingston, President Lane." Holding so docunts, he hesitated upon seeing Mia.
"Speak." Justin looked at him, "President Lane is not an outsider, she’s my wife, so she doesn’t need to avoid anything at any ti."
The aide finally spoke without holding back, "Yes." Handing over the docunts to him, "CEO Kingston, here are so collected records of transactions between Lydia Ingram and a major drug lord, confirming their close connections, with transaction amounts reaching over a hundred million."
Justin opened the docunts, flipping through them one by one.
The aide continued, "But we still haven’t figured out who his protector is, every transaction is very covert."
"I want them all." Justin raised his eyes to him, "Don’t alert them yet, keep a close watch on Lydia Ingram. The mont he plans to escape, capture him imdiately."
"Yes."
Justin instructed further, "First, prevent his escape, then find out who his protector is, eradicating harm to the people must be thorough."
"Yes, CEO Kingston."
"Alright, report any developnts, I’ll review these docunts in detail, you go and handle your work."
The aide saluted, then turned and left.
Mia placed a file that needed signing gently in front of him, "This one isn’t urgent, look at it when you have ti."
"I feel like Riventhal is covered in dark clouds." Justin’s handso face showed so worry, "The reason Lydia Ingram is so rampant is because soone keeps enabling him."
"They must have vested interests; otherwise, why would anyone protect him?"
"This protection isn’t just for a day or two, but long-term, that’s why he’s so arrogant." Justin secretly vowed to uncover it, restoring Riventhal to a pure land!
As the head of the Kingston Group, this is his responsibility and duty.
