Very soon, Jocelyn ca out of the pantry with a glass of water.
lissa sat on the sofa, feeling empty inside, "He must be really busy today, huh? I won’t even have the ti to say a word to him."
"Just let it be, I don’t have that luxury either," the girl handed the glass of water to her, "Here you go."
"Thanks." lissa looked up at her, took the glass with both hands, and took a couple of sips.
"If you’re not feeling well, let know," Jocelyn took back the glass, "I promised your parents, today I’m looking after you, doing nothing else."
lissa’s lips curled slightly, her smile a bit pale and weak, "It’s not that serious, I’m fine."
anwhile, in the courtyard, Hailey had just thrown the bouquet, which was caught by a newly-adult girl from the Morgan family’s relatives, and everyone was very happy.
A lovely violin piece played by a renowned musician was being perford live...
Finn Morgan took Hailey to start the toast, and the guests cheerfully raised their glasses, chatting and conversing, approving greatly of the marriage.
The long table in the courtyard was filled with various delicious pastries, exquisite and tasty.
The children in the play area were already having fun, Gigi and Dolly were also there, with two bodyguards following, bursts of laughter could be heard.
Mia Lane held onto Justin Kingston’s arm as Finn Morgan and Hailey walked over with their glasses, attracting everyone’s gaze, smiling.
"CEO Kingston, President Lane, thank you for making ti to co," Finn Morgan raised his glass.
Hailey maintained her smile all along.
"Isn’t that what we should do?" Justin Kingston said gently, "Congratulations on your wedding!"
Mia Lane’s lips lifted in a smile, joyfully saying, "Wishing you many children soon and eternal happiness!"
"Thank you!"
Then everyone clinked their glasses and took a sip of the fragrant wine inside.
"We’ll go greet so other guests first, make yourselves comfortable," Finn Morgan told them, "Please excuse us."
Mia Lane understandingly said, "Go on, don’t mind us."
Just as Finn Morgan left with Hailey, Justin Kingston and Mia Lane also started to move away, but after a few steps, Nathan Garcia approached holding a glass of wine.
Everyone had smiles on their faces, their expressions gentle.
As he made eye contact with Justin Kingston, Nathan Garcia’s heart inexplicably twitched.
Justin Kingston, with Mia Lane, stepped forward, "Mayor Hale, congratulations," Justin Kingston raised his glass to him proactively.
Nathan Garcia snapped back, lightly clinked glasses with him, said nothing, took a sip of his drink, and suddenly found it tasteless.
At the wedding banquet, it was only natural that Justin Kingston wouldn’t say much.
He glanced at her, then walked away with Mia Lane.
But Nathan Garcia seed like he lost his soul, looked back at Justin Kingston’s silhouette, and felt he could barely hold his wine glass steadily.
Just then, Paige ca over, "Old Anderson, what’s wrong with you?" she asked with a worried frown, having been observing him earlier.
The middle-aged man ca to his senses, "It’s nothing."
Paige looked puzzledly at Justin Kingston’s departing back, then at the man before her, "Did you have a falling out with CEO Kingston?"
"No," he turned around to leave, clearly unwilling to say more.
But Paige sensed sothing unusual; surely there must be so conflict?
In the afternoon, Hailey changed into a red traditional dress, handmade embroidery, with a large phoenix design on the chest, particularly beautiful.
Finn Morgan changed into a white tailcoat; the evening’s arrangents were exceptionally well prepared.
The bride and groom began another round of toasting.
Under the night sky, lissa stood in the courtyard outside the living room, watching that figure, completely oblivious to the presence of Hailey Hale.
Just waiting for the mont Finn Morgan would look her way...
