Justin Kingston held the steering wheel with his left hand and grasped her hand with his right, feeling the alternating temperatures in their palms.
He felt sorry for her, "Mia, are you unhappy?"
Mia Lane glanced over, "Not at all."
Justin slowed the car and smiled, asking, "How was your first day at work here? Are you getting used to it?"
"Yes." Mia nodded, happy to share with him, "The Dalton Group arranged everything very well. The office is large, just six of us, and the environnt is great. The cafeteria’s food is also excellent, with a wide variety."
"That’s good." Justin believed David Garcia wouldn’t make things difficult for her.
After this conversation ended, there was a brief silence in the car.
Justin joked, "Did any young guys at The Dalton Group like you?"
"What are you talking about? What young guys?"
"Trevor." Justin glanced at her, "He’s such an excellent young man, didn’t you notice?"
With his reminder, the image of Trevor popped into Mia’s mind imdiately, "Him, he indeed leaves a good impression. Edie and Doris both fancy this type, even Skye blushes when she sees him."
"Did he look at you more than a few tis?" Justin asked curiously.
"No!" Mia laughed, freeing her fingers, "What do you an? Are you jealous?"
Justin smiled without responding, and Mia laughed along, "When did my husband beco so lacking in confidence?"
"It’s because you’re too charming, and I love you too much. I don’t feel secure," Justin dared to express.
This opened topic briefly eased the previous heaviness, improving the atmosphere in the car.
Night began to fall.
As the moon set and the sun rose, a new day arrived.
At the Dalton family ho, after breakfast, in the living room—
David Dalton took the suit jacket from Butler Warren and said while putting it on, "Don’t wait for for dinner tonight, I’ll be working late, you can eat without ."
After speaking, he walked straight out, not even glancing back.
Joan Graham looked puzzled, watching him get into the car, which quickly drove away and disappeared from view.
On the stairs, Sean Dalton held the railing and paused, lost in thought.

They turned to look at her, which reminded Joan of what her daughter told her yesterday.
"I’ve never seen Dad be so good to soone before." Sean started walking down the stairs, speaking frankly, "He queued for a long ti yesterday to buy her a cake, I thought sothing was off."
A surge of jealousy erupted from Joan’s feet, straight to her heart, almost reaching her head!
"So they won’t even take a family photo? Is it really because of Mia?" Joan trembled, fearing they were about to start an inappropriate relationship?
"Madam..." Butler Warren tried to be reasonable, "This business is unbelievable, right? She’s Mrs. Kingston, even if Mr. Dalton had ten tis the courage, he wouldn’t dare!"
But Sean fueled the fire, "When feelings arise, who can resist? Anyway, Dad’s changes started with Mia’s appearance, we must be cautious."
Joan’s face went pale, feeling as if she faced a powerful enemy!
