The room crackled with tension after Lucas’s brutal takedown of Kevin. Several celebrities turned to Hart, who just smiled and shook his head in silence, acknowledging the direct hit.

Gasps and whispers rippled through the audience – this wasn’t the polished, diplomatic Lucas Knight they were used to seeing in interviews. This was soone who could give as good as he got.

"I apologize if I’m being particularly harsh tonight," Lucas said, his grin carrying an edge. "But I respect everyone here too much to hold back. Besides, pulling punches at a roast? That would be the real disrespect."

The celebrities, Kevin included, broke into appreciative applause. They got it – this wasn’t The Tonight Show. This was a roast, and Lucas was playing by the rules they’d set when they went after his family wounds.

Lucas turned to Martha Stewart, his smile widening. "Martha, Martha, Martha..." he began, as she slumped in her chair with a theatrical "Oh no..."

"The only person who went from white collar cri to actual street cred. You did ti in prison and ca out with Snoop Dogg on speed dial – that’s not rehabilitation, that’s a reality show pitch." The crowd erupted as Martha covered her face, laughing.

"You turned getting arrested for insider trading into a brand upgrade. That’s like using my daddy issues to win an Oscar – oh wait." He paused for the laughter. "You went from teaching people how to fold napkins into swans to rolling joints with Snoop. Now that’s what I call personal growth."

"You actually convinced Arica that an ex-con is their lifestyle guru."

Martha took it like a champ, throwing her head back in genuine laughter as the audience howled. Even Snoop was wiping tears from his eyes at this point.

Lucas gave Martha a quick thumbs up, getting her smiling nod in return before turning to Kobe. "Now, Kobe Bryant... you’re so competitive, you probably counted how many tis people laughed at your jokes tonight. And before you deny it – yes, that was less than your free throw percentage."

Kobe, who’d been bracing for sothing harsher after the previous roasts, relaxed into genuine laughter.

Lucas’s smile turned mischievous as he wrapped up. "You might’ve noticed I went easier on so people here. That’s your pro tip for the night – if you don’t want to get verbally murdered by at these things, just be my friend. Paul and Jennifer already figured this out. The rest of you might want to take notes."

The crowd erupted in applause as Kevin bounded back to the mic. "Lucas Knight everybody! And please, Cody Central, I’m begging you – edit out what he said about my tweet. I have kids, man. They use Twitter!"

After the show, Lucas made his way to Snoop and Martha. "I hope I didn’t go too far-"

"Baby, please," Martha waved him off with a grin. "You’re Lucas Knight – you can get away with it. If so random nobody tried those jokes, they’d be learning how to make license plates instead of dinner plates, if you know what I an."

Lucas laughed nervously as Jennifer tried to hide her smile.

"For real though," Snoop added, his trademark drawl carrying genuine warmth, "you killed it tonight, nephew. Ain’t no thing but a chicken wing. Besides," he chuckled, "that Martha Stewart joke was straight fire. I’m stealing that one for our next show."

Martha playfully swatted Snoop’s arm. "Don’t you dare steal his material for our show. We have writers for that." The four of them shared another laugh before Lucas and Jennifer made their rounds to the other celebrities.

When they reached Kevin, Lucas’s expression turned more serious. "Hey man, I’m sorry about bringing up that tweet. I know that’s a sensitive spot-"

"Not gonna lie, that shit hurt," Kevin interrupted, but his smile was genuine. "But hey, it wouldn’t be a real roast if we didn’t walk away with so bruised egos, right? Though next ti, maybe dial it back by, like, 20%?"

Lucas chuckled. "Well, like I said – beco my friend, and I’ll stick to jokes about your height."

"Consider us friends then," Kevin laughed, pulling Lucas in for a quick hug. "Anything to avoid getting murdered like that again."

After making their final goodbyes, Lucas and Jennifer made their way through the crowd, their security team forming a protective barrier as they headed to their car. Once inside, Jennifer let out a long breath.

"Jesus, I was actually nervous for you up there," she said, studying his profile. "You really went for the jugular with so of those big nas."

Lucas laughed, but there was a slight tremor in it. "Trust , I was terrified. But it’s a roast – you either go all in or don’t do it at all."

Jennifer settled her head on his shoulder, the tension finally leaving her body. "Well, thank god you spared the heavy artillery. I was worried you might start talking about those embarrassing selfies on my phone."

"I would never," Lucas grinned, wrapping an arm around her. "That’s what anniversaries are for."

The "Cody Central Roast of Lucas Knight" premiered in June to massive viewership. For two hours, viewers watched uncomfortably as celebrity after celebrity hamred Lucas about his family dynamics, childhood trauma, and personal struggles. Social dia buzzed with growing anticipation for Lucas’s response.

"These celebs really went for his throat with the family stuff. Can’t wait to see how he claps back," one viewer said.

When Lucas finally took the mic in the final segnt, the payback was surgical. His roast of Chris Rock particularly stunned viewers:

"Chris Rock... you’re out here joking about my family drama when your own cody special was just you trying to convince everyone you’re still relevant. You went from being the voice of a generation to voicing a zebra in Madagascar."

"That’s not a career trajectory, that’s a cry for help. You spent years preaching about racial issues in cody while writing jokes for white executives who were paying you to make fun of your own community."

The audience gasped as Lucas continued, "And let’s talk about how you use your platform – you’re like a substitute teacher who thinks being an is the sa as being funny. The only difference is substitute teachers actually make a difference in people’s lives."

The audience gasped with each of Lucas’s precision strikes, only getting monts to breathe when he shifted to lighter jokes about Jennifer and Paul. The contrast was striking – while he’d gone for the jugular with those who’d attacked his family, his close friends received playful jabs that drew genuine laughter rather than shocked silence.

Viewers stayed glued to their screens as Lucas systematically roasted each celebrity. His takedown of Kevin Hart about the controversial tweet, his jabs at Snoop’s transformation from gangster rapper to Martha Stewart’s cooking buddy, and his pointed comnts about Martha’s white-collar cri makeover – each hit landed perfectly, walking the line between harsh truth and humor.

However, sothing felt missing. Soon, audience mbers who attended the live taping began sharing on Twitter:

"They cut out so of Lucas’s best burns! That joke about Martha had the whole room SHOOK. #RoastOfLucasKnight"

"The edited version is still fire but trust , what didn’t make the cut was even better. Lucas went OFF."

The Twitter reactions kept pouring in:

"These celebs really thought attacking Lucas’s family was their best move... then he ended their whole careers in five minutes flat"

"Not gonna lie, the roasters did okay with their family jokes, but Lucas’s cobacks were another level. Man’s got hands AND bars"

"Best Cody Central roast ever? I think yes. Get this man his own roasting show!"

"Lucas Knight for next Roastmaster! Though let’s be real, he’s too busy collecting Oscars to do this full ti 😂"

Kevin Hart’s tweet cut through the online chatter: "Gotta remind myself not to roast Lucas Knight unless you’re his friend. And I an REAL friend, not Hollywood friend. #LessonLearned"

When fans replied that Lucas had ended his career, Kevin quote-tweeted with surprising honesty: "Man didn’t just end my career, he read my eulogy too 💀 Consider humbled"

Jimmy Fallon chid in: "Now you all see why I turned down the roast? One fake laugh joke was enough for . This man’s got receipts on EVERYBODY 😅"

Chris Rock kept it simple: "Damn."

Martha Stewart’s tweet showed her sense of humor: "First prison, now Lucas Knight. Nothing scares anymore 😌"

The entertainnt industry was seeing a new side of Lucas Knight – not just the thod actor or the musician, but soone who could verbally spar with the best codians in the business. It was another talent to add to his already impressive resu, much to so celebrities’ growing frustration.

The parallel wasn’t lost on anyone – Lucas, who’d won an Oscar for Joker but skipped the ceremony, had channeled so of that sa chaotic energy at the roast. The internet was quick to connect the dots.

Kevin Hart reposted a viral showing Lucas as Joker, captioned: "You wanna hear a joke, Murray?" followed by "Celebrities at the roast praying Lucas doesn’t say ’Wanna hear a joke, Kiml?’" Kevin added his own comnt: "Y’all wrong for this... but accurate 😭"

The spread like wildfire, with celebrities and fans alike sharing variations of the joke.

Jimmy Kiml himself responded with: "I’m just glad he saved his Murray mont for Kevin 😅"

While the internet buzzed with roast reactions and Joker s, Lucas was spending quiet monts with Jennifer, making the most of their ti together before their next projects pulled them in different directions. Their evenings were filled with ho-cooked dinners and conversations that had nothing to do with Hollywood.

Between these peaceful monts, Lucas t with Kobe at Granity Studios, helping to develop "Dear Basketball." The animation project was special to Kobe, and Lucas found himself drawn into the creative process, offering insights on animation techniques and storytelling approaches.

Their discussions often ran late into the evening, both n caught up in the possibilities of translating Kobe’s farewell letter into visual poetry.

In the background, Lucas was also quietly preparing for his next acting project, reading scripts in the early mornings before heading to Granity. But for now, he was savoring these sumr monts – the balance of personal life, creative collaboration, and professional growth feeling just right.
