In the Japanese restaurant, Luofeng first took a group photo with a few of his buddies and the Yellowfin Tuna. Then, he took another photo with just Duanmu Yunji.
What was the purpose of taking a photo together? Naturally, it wasn’t to post on his Monts Circle to celebrate or show off. It was more like commorating the catch of a big fish with a photo. For Luofeng and Duanmu Yunji, the commorative significance of the photo lay in the fact that, at this particular mont, they were together in Capital City.
Since they planned to race cars in the afternoon, no one ate much. They just casually filled their stomachs before leaving an address and instructing the restaurant staff to deliver the prepared Yellowfin Tuna to Golden Harbour.
Soon after, everyone drove their sports cars toward the Golden Harbour Car Park, preparing for the afternoon’s racing activities.
When everyone arrived at Golden Harbour, there was a problem at the entrance. It seed like soone was blocking the way and arguing about sothing. Luofeng and his group naturally found themselves held up there as well.
Li Bo Kai imdiately called the Golden Harbour operator to find out what was happening.
Shortly thereafter, a middle-aged man ran over. He first bowed and apologized to everyone, then explained, "Young Master Li, I’m terribly sorry. There’s been a small issue here, and we’re dealing with it. Please wait a mont!"
The middle-aged man continued, "Please rest assured, Young Master Li. Any ti you’re delayed will be doubly compensated!"
"Manager Hu, what exactly happened?" Li Bo Kai asked.
Manager Hu gave a wry smile. "The Young Master of The Chen Family ca with friends to have fun. But Young Master Li, you’ve already booked the entire venue, haven’t you? We explained that to them right away, but they’re still making a scene at the entrance."
"Oh? The Young Master of The Chen Family? Chen Ergou?" Li Bo Kai inquired.
Manager Hu didn’t respond directly.
"Heh, this Chen Ergou, is he getting a bit too full of himself? Does he really think he’s the Chen Ergou from so novel?" Lin Xiaoyun imdiately grumbled. "Should we go have a word with him?"
"Mhm!" Li Bo Kai nodded.
"I’ll stay with Luofeng. You guys go handle it," Chen Dali said. "It’s been a long ti since I’ve seen Chen Ergou. Didn’t he go off to West Mountain to study? Why is he suddenly back?"
"Alright, we’ll go talk to him," Li Bo Kai said.
Li Bo Kai, with Lin Xiaoyun, quickly headed towards the entrance of the Golden Harbour Car Park.
anwhile, Chen Dali explained to Luofeng, "This Chen Bolin is also from our Capital City circles. Because he’s the youngest son, his father absolutely dotes on him. Add to that an overbearing older brother, and his personality has beco rather unpleasant!"
"It shouldn’t be a big problem, right?" Luofeng didn’t say much, just asked this.
"Just a small issue, nothing to worry about," Chen Dali said with a laugh.
anwhile, when Li Bo Kai and Lin Xiaoyun reached the main entrance of Golden Harbour, they spotted a sturdy-looking young man. Li Bo Kai took the initiative to greet him, "Chen Ergou, long ti no see!"
"Ergou, when did you get back?" Lin Xiaoyun chid in.
"..."
Chen Bolin shot them a death glare.
These two stupid n! Can’t they greet soone normally? That nickna is from childhood! Are they still going to use it now? We’re all adults; can’t they be a bit more mature? Isn’t it childish to bring up old nicknas?
"Spinach! Yun Ge’er, what are you two doing here?" Chen Bolin exclaid.
Li Bo Kai’s nickna was Spinach, earned back when they used to watch *Popeye the Sailor*. As for Lin Xiaoyun’s nickna, Yun Ge’er—she was 1.72 ters tall, not particularly tall in their circle. So, Yun Ge’er was a pun on the na of Wu Dalang’s pear-selling boy in *Water Margin*, a character associated with being short.
Li Bo Kai chuckled. "We’ve booked the place for the afternoon, so stop causing trouble, alright? Move aside quickly before this gets awkward for everyone!"
Lin Xiaoyun added, "If you want to race, co back tomorrow. We’ve booked it for today!"
"This... such a huge racetrack! What would be the harm in letting join with just two cars?" Chen Bolin grumbled.
"Get lost! We’re entertaining important guests here!" Li Bo Kai shot back, giving him no face at all.
Lin Xiaoyun, seeing this, was equally blunt. "You’re so clueless, just as annoying as when you were a kid! Scram!"
Chen Bolin forced a smile. "Co on, you two, give so face. I’m entertaining important guests too, okay? We already made plans to co race today!"
"Oh? You made plans in advance?" Li Bo Kai chuckled. "If you’d already made plans, why didn’t you book the venue?"
"Exactly!" Lin Xiaoyun added. "If that was the case, booking it would’ve solved everything, wouldn’t it?"
Chen Bolin was speechless, so angry he felt like he could cough up blood.
Book the damn place? Doesn’t that cost a fortune? If it were free, I’d book it 365 days a year!
Chen Bolin, left with no other option, put on a strained smile. "Co on, brothers, really, give so face. I’ll treat you to dinner later. My guests today are very important; they’re VIPs from West Mountain!"
"So, your VIPs are important, but ours aren’t, is that it?" Li Bo Kai had no intention of arguing further.
They had made a lot of money following Luofeng and were enjoying the good life, so naturally, they wanted to ensure Luofeng’s arrangents were perfect. Why should they give Chen Bolin any face?
They were thoroughly prepared for the day. Not only had they booked the entire venue, but they had also arranged a vast selection of cars so Duanmu Yunji could experience more high-performance vehicles.
The three of them were astute; they understood Luofeng very well. Pleasing Luofeng was good, but pleasing Duanmu Yunji was even better. If Duanmu Yunji was happy, Luofeng would be happy. Luofeng was wealthy and capable; what couldn’t he get if he wanted it? Pleasing Duanmu Yunji would yield twice the result with half the effort. Pleasing Luofeng directly, on the other hand, would likely an twice the effort for half the result.
Therefore, with everything ticulously arranged for the day, there was no way they would give Chen Ergou any consideration.
Chen Ergou dropped his subservient attitude and sneered, "We all played together as kids. You’re giving no face like this—aren’t you afraid you’ll fall into my hands one day?"
"Oh? I’ll be waiting then," Li Bo Kai chuckled.
"Actually, right now, you’re in *our* hands," Lin Xiaoyun retorted with a laugh.
Chen Bolin took a deep breath, pointed at the two of them, and seethed, "Fine! You just wait! We’ll see about this!"
"Sweet!"
Seeing Chen Bolin leave, Li Bo Kai grinned.
"Yeah, that was really satisfying. That tattletale is just as annoying as he was in childhood!"
Back then, the young Chen Ergou loved to snitch, which was why he was often ostracized.
Seeing Chen Bolin clear the way, Li Bo Kai and Lin Xiaoyun returned to their cars. The group then smoothly drove onto the Golden Harbour Racetrack.
The mont they entered, Duanmu Yunji felt her eyes couldn’t take it all in. Parked in the staging area was an overwhelming array of high-performance cars and sports cars!!!
