The three brothers left to find so fun.
Luofeng didn’t join them and instead went over to Bai Ningbing’s table.
Tang Yue was the first to greet him.
Bai Ningbing inquired, "They left?"
"Yeah, off to have fun," he replied.
"Aren’t you joining them?" Bai Ningbing asked.
"I’m not going. You saw what happened yesterday, right?" Luofeng said with a smile.
Bai Ningbing recalled yesterday: Chen Dali and his brothers, each with a girl on his arm. And those two young won from the ’atmosphere team’?
She snorted softly and gave Luofeng a sidelong glance.
Luofeng was speechless. What had he done to deserve this?
"Need an extra bowl and chopsticks?" the owner ca over and asked.
"Yeah, and add an oxtail soup," Luofeng nodded.
"Not going for the bullwhip soup this ti?" the owner joked.
"Cut it out! I want oxtail soup!" Luofeng complained.
"Haha, alright," the owner replied.
Small shops like this had more of a human touch, unlike those big establishnts that only offered superficial enthusiasm, all too programmatic.
While Luofeng was sipping his oxtail soup, Tangya was explaining banking job details to Tang Yue.
Luofeng asked, "Tang Yue, are you also going to work at a bank?"
"Yeah," Tangya answered for her. "She ran into a bit of trouble with the civil service exams!"
"What trouble?" Luofeng inquired.
Tangya gestured for Tang Yue to explain herself.
Tang Yue began to explain the situation.
Luofeng understood halfway through but let her finish.
"So, Tang Yue, where are you planning to apply?"
"The School Departnt in the North District!" declared Tang Yue. "The most basic of staff positions!"
"The School System? Wait a mont," Luofeng mused.
After that, he contacted Zhao Xiaofeng.
"Good afternoon, Brother Feng!"
"Old Zhao, didn’t you say you moved to the School System?"
"Yeah, I’m the third supervisor over here in the North District."
"And you claim you got there without using any special skills? At your age? I’m going to report you!" Luofeng joked.
"I beg you, Brother Feng, don’t report ! We’ll agree to any conditions over here!"
"Hahaha, okay then!" Luofeng laughed. "I’ll let the report slide for now. But help arrange a position for soone. Oh, and the person is my girlfriend’s cousin."
"By the way, Tang Yue, what was your major in university?" Luofeng asked.
"A Master’s degree in Education!"
"You heard her. She’s highly educated. Can you arrange it?" Luofeng asked.
"With that degree? Of course, it can be arranged!"
Zhao Xiaofeng couldn’t help but make so internal complaints. Plenty of people with just associate degrees got in. If soone with her qualifications couldn’t be placed, it probably ant she had no connections. Otherwise, with such a degree, she would have been hired long ago.
"But there’s an issue you should know about the current situation. With my maximum authority, I can only arrange a temporary staff position. This is because all permanent positions require passing an exam, and all results are recorded and networked. If your sister-in-law’s cousin doesn’t mind being a temporary worker, she can start anyti, and I’ll arrange an easy job for her!"
"My girlfriend’s cousin actually didn’t pass the interview, though she was first in the written exam!" Luofeng explained.
"Sorry, Brother Feng, but my authority doesn’t extend to altering exam results," Zhao Xiaofeng responded.
"It’s not about changing the results. What I an is, Bai Ningbing’s cousin isn’t incompetent. So, just arrange for her to be temporary staff for now. When it’s ti for the exams, you don’t have to help her cheat or anything; as long as it’s fair, that’s fine!"
At least, Luofeng could tell Tang Yue harbored so resentnt. It was likely she had the ability to pass the exam but had been unfairly rejected.
"Don’t worry, fairness is guaranteed!" Zhao Xiaofeng assured.
"Good. I’ll send Tang Yue’s contact information to you! You two can get in touch later!" Luofeng proposed.
"Alright!"
"Thanks, Old Zhao!"
"No need for thanks, Brother Feng!"
Soon after hanging up, Luofeng turned to Tang Yue. "Is it okay for you to start as a temp?"
"No problem. Thank you, Brother Feng."
"’Brother Feng’?" Luofeng was montarily speechless.
"Yeah, is that not right?" Tang Yue joked. "The person on the phone just now will likely be my superior soon, and doesn’t everyone call you Brother Feng?"
"No, no, no," Luofeng waved his hand dismissively.
"Thank you, Luofeng!" Tangya also expressed her gratitude.
Admiration flickered in Bai Ningbing’s eyes as she looked at Luofeng. She loved seeing him orchestrate things from behind the scenes. It truly fascinated Bai Ningbing.
After all, don’t all girls admire strength?
"It’s nothing, just lending a hand," said Luofeng. "By the way, Tang Yue, I hope you’ll do your best to pass the next exam. It will definitely be fair!"
"Yes! If it’s fair, I’m sure I can do it!" Tang Yue said with conviction.
It’s because she had no connections that she worked harder than anyone else, right? So? They want real skill? Who’s afraid of whom?
"By the way, honey, send Tang Yue’s WeChat. I’ll forward it to my friend," Luofeng said. He then explained Zhao Xiaofeng’s family background: whose son he was, and that he was now the third supervisor at the North District School.

Bai Ningbing glanced sideways at Luofeng.
Already family, and we’re not even married yet?
Tangya’s expression was complicated. She suddenly felt bewildered. Was Luofeng really such a skilled actor, or had he genuinely let go of those unrealistic fantasies? Honestly, Tangya wasn’t even sure which scenario she preferred anymore. Had she fallen for him?
"By the way, Aunt Tang, I’ve lent my car to a friend, so could you drop off at Jiai Company later?" Luofeng asked.
"No problem!" Tangya readily agreed.
About half an hour later, they all finished eating.
Luofeng offered to pay.
But Tangya wouldn’t let him, insisting it was her treat since he was a guest in their ho.
Luofeng didn’t insist.
"Will you be driving?"
Soon, they reached the parking lot outside, and Tangya asked.
"Sure!" Luofeng didn’t refuse.
He was secretly curious. Who would sit in the co-pilot’s seat, Tangya or Bai Ningbing?
But Luofeng got into the driver’s seat first; his position wasn’t going to change.
He then saw that Bai Ningbing was the one sitting in the co-pilot’s seat after all.
