"A web drama?"
Upon hearing this, Lu Yaqing couldn’t help but give a wry laugh. "Mr. Luo, since you’re a fan of mine... you should know that my status in the girl group isn’t high, and neither is my popularity, right?"
Lu Yaqing felt sowhat dejected as she spoke, lifting her juice and taking a big gulp.
"It’s not so bad. Many things take ti. You have good looks, and if you co across the right resources, you could certainly skyrocket to fa quickly." Even with his cheat at hand, Luofeng couldn’t think of anything else to do at that mont but offer comfort.
"It’s not that easy," Lu Yaqing said, shaking her head despondently. "In our JY Girl Group, just having one mber truly break into the entertainnt circle is already quite an achievent; the others are pretty much just also-rans."
Indeed, girl groups like theirs were far too nurous in the country. Brokerage companies had limited resources and couldn’t make everyone famous. Managing to produce a star with 10 million fans was already an impressive accomplishnt. Moreover, those who made it didn’t rely solely on brokerage companies; they had their own connections and thods. It was precisely because of these connections and thods that brokerage companies were more willing to promote such individuals, as their chances of becoming famous were higher.
Lu Yaqing said, "Regarding the investnt in this web drama, our brokerage company plans to raise five million, investing two million ourselves, leaving a gap of three million."
"What genre is it?" Luofeng asked curiously.
"It’s a youth-type drama. These kinds of dramas are fild on campus and tend to be lower cost," Lu Yaqing explained. She continued, "According to our brokerage company’s plans, they want Mr. Xia to invest three million but only take 50% of the profits. Under such circumstances, it’s highly difficult for us to reach an agreent. However, Mr. Xia suddenly asked for by na to discuss the matter, so the brokerage company understood the implication. They dangled the prospect of starring in the drama, saying if I could secure Mr. Xia’s investnt, I’d get the lead female role..."
"Heh!" Luofeng chuckled to himself. As expected, the entertainnt circle was truly chaotic.
"With my ddling, Mr. Xia probably won’t invest in the web drama now, will he?" Luofeng asked with a rueful tone. "Your company won’t make it difficult for you, right?"
"Not really. After all, this is an exchange of interests. If I accept the conditions, I’ll be the lead actress. If not, it’s just a five-million drama; they can simply look for another investor," Lu Yaqing said with a bitter smile. "These things happen so often in the circle. If I don’t accept Mr. Xia, naturally there will be plenty of others who will. I won’t be missed."
In other words, there were plenty of long-legged beauties willing to make sacrifices. Who couldn’t survive without whom in this industry? Perhaps others had already slept with soone just for this kind of opportunity, and then they would go on to accompany Mr. Xia. "Is there no way to secure investnt without resorting to those ans?" Luofeng asked curiously.

If it had been soone else calling a five-million investnt ’small,’ Lu Yaqing would have definitely thought they were just showing off. But Luofeng, who could casually buy watches worth over three million, certainly had the credibility to say so.
"Indeed, low-budget projects can easily recoup their investnt. After all, most of the funding goes into production and filming, not on paying famous actors. Lu Yaqing added, "Plus, with various online broadcasting channels, if it gets noticed, you can sign a contract for a guaranteed minimum plus commission. With a five-million investnt, the chances of breaking even are very high. Then there are various copyright sales, so it’s unlikely to be a loss. If it really becos a huge hit, then you just wait for a big payday. After hearing so much from Lu Yaqing, Luofeng found it all very reasonable; there was simply no refuting it. And from Xia Wen’s perspective, the situation was similar. Although it was a three-million investnt, with such low capital, the probability of a significant loss was very small, and there was still the potential for it to beco a hit. Crucially, he would also get to choose the female lead and enjoy a few days with a female lead boasting incredibly alluring, curvaceous long legs.
No matter how one looked at it, it was a surefire profitable deal. People with money, with capital, were truly the darlings of society.

Luofeng chuckled when he heard this. "A male-centric, satisfying drama?"
Luofeng knew very well that modern web dramas didn’t need all that bitter-sweet lodrama. As long as a purely satisfying story wasn’t cringeworthy, it could actually be very engaging. The key with small web dramas was that you didn’t need to showcase too much positive energy; it was enough if they simply avoided negative energy. Real TV dramas, however, had to convey correct values, or they would be torn apart by critics.
"Yes, exactly. The male lead has an incredible status, and the female lead is constantly pampered. I think this is a fresh direction. The bitter-sweet type isn’t really suitable for today’s young people, especially many male audience mbers who prefer purely satisfying web dramas," Lu Yaqing nodded as she explained.
"If Mr. Xia is out, how much of a gap are you left with? Three million?" Luofeng asked with a smile.
"Yes, three million. But what do you an, Mr. Luo? Are you interested in investing?" Lu Yaqing asked, surprised.
"Of course," Luofeng chuckled.
