Taking another deep breath, she walked step by step toward the mirror. In front of it was a small table with several clue cards. Xu Yao picked up a few and turned to leave.
Just as she turned, the surface of the mirror abruptly rippled like water. A large, withered hand reached out from within, aiming to grab her shoulder.
However, just as the hand touched her shoulder, a brilliant golden light erupted from her body.
"AHH!"
A shrill scream echoed through the room. Xu Yao, terrified, spun around but saw nothing. She didn't dare linger for a second longer and wrenched the door open, bolting outside.

After Mo Mo left, Chu Tian glanced inside the room. Seeing nothing amiss, he turned and walked away.
