This past month, Feng Yan’s life has been more relaxed than before, largely because he doesn’t have to consider marrying Xia Chuxue for the ti being.
"But..." He Shuya felt helpless, but she knew she couldn’t change his mind.
"Um... Third Young Master, could you arrange a phone call between Chuxue and my Old Master?"
"I can arrange that, keep an eye on the phone today." Feng Yan replied, then ended the call.
He Shuya didn’t even have ti to say thank you.
Looking at the darkened phone screen, she took a deep breath before turning to walk toward the hospital room.
After going through so much trouble, they’ve finally got a possible phone call.
She wasn’t sure if this outco would satisfy Xia Yiru, but she’d done her best.
For almost a month, they hadn’t even had a chance to talk to Chuxue on the phone. Hopefully, she could really call today.
He Shuya returned to the hospital room and closed the door.
After discussing the matter with Xia Yiru, she stood helplessly by the bedside.
"Just a call is better than nothing," Xia Yiru sighed silently.
However, no one could guarantee that the call wouldn’t be monitored.
The two bored people in the hospital waited until a little after 1 p.m. before Xia Yiru’s phone received a strange call.
He Shuya hurried over to Xia Yiru with the phone.
"Old Master, it might be... Chuxue."
"You take it. Say my condition is bad, and if she doesn’t complete the task and co back soon, I might have to return to Ye City. It’ll be even harder to et then."
"Rember! Say it was my decision to go back, and..."
Xia Yiru waved his hand, and He Shuya leaned down.
The two of them whispered sothing, then He Shuya stood straight and nodded.
Xia Yiru nodded, saying nothing more; the situation had reached this point, and there was no choice but to try.
Unless Chuxue herself could pass the special training, the Third Young Master would never let her go. Now they could only hope Old Master Feng wouldn’t intervene too soon.
"Okay, I understand." He Shuya took a deep breath and pressed the answer button.
"Hello, may I ask..."
"Aunt Ya... sob..." Xia Chuxue almost called out "Mom," but she always rembered her own identity.
After nearly a month of isolation, she felt less than human.
To Xia Chuxue, the people at this base were like devils, and she didn’t want to stay even a mont longer, but she was powerless.
Upon hearing He Shuya’s voice, Xia Chuxue burst into tears.
"Chuxue, what’s wrong? Don’t cry, don’t cry. The Third Young Master said that as long as you pass the special training, you can co back." He Shuya was also anxious.
But with a task at hand, she didn’t dare waste ti.
"It’s impossible. I can’t accomplish these tasks at all. Brother Yan won’t let co back, you’re lying to ! Sob sob..." Xia Chuxue choked.
"Chuxue, don’t worry, listen to Mom, okay?" He Shuya comforted and coaxed.
"Your Grandpa Xia is in the hospital, and he’s not doing well. He said you should complete the task and co back soon, or else he might return to Ye City."
"If he returns to Ye City, it’ll be even harder for you to et. Grandpa Xia misses you so much he’s gotten sick."
"Chuxue, you really have to complete the task, or else Grandpa Xia is really going to go back."
"He said he wants to return to Ye City, and we can’t stop him, can we? Chuxue, listen to Aunt Ya, no matter how hard it is, it will pass."
