Xia Yinian snorted coldly, "Stop talking nonsense, I..."
", talking nonsense?" Gu Beicheng raised an eyebrow, "Is the nonsense referring to your fake engagent with Ling Qian, or our relationship?"
"I was there the night you got engaged to Ling Qian, so what you are trying to say is that we... have no relation."
Gu Beicheng stretched out his long fingers to Xia Yinian’s chin, lifting her head to have her directly face him.
Xia Yinian’s brow was deeply furrowed, her expression one of preferring death over submission.
But she didn’t realize that her defiance was pleasing Gu Beicheng imnsely; he had seen right through her little stubbornness long ago.
"If you’ve forgotten, do I need to do sothing to remind you?"
"Let go of !" Xia Yinian forcefully pushed him away; she was truly angry now.
Worried about the girl’s abdominal wounds tearing, Gu Beicheng went along with her pushing force, giving her so space.
Xia Yinian didn’t think too much and seized the opportunity to escape.
Maybe, once escape was possible, everything would be fine.
Why, after he’d done such unspeakable things to her, was he still unwilling to let her go?
She didn’t want to care anymore, she lacked the energy to care, didn’t she?
Gu Beicheng extended his long arm and just as Xia Yinian managed to take a step to escape, he pulled her back into his arms.
"I’m not yet bored with this ga; there’s no way I’d let you go so soon!"
His smile dropped, and he looked now even more terrifying than before.
"You’re shaless!" Xia Yinian glared up at the man embracing her.
She was holding two bottles of red wine in her hands, unable to exert any force; moreover, after lying in the hospital for so long, her bodily functions hadn’t fully recovered.
Just monts ago, she had barely managed to escape a little; now being held by him, she was almost completely powerless to resist.
"I’m about to show you just how shaless I can be."
"Mmmm..." Xia Yinian bit her lip, attempting to shake her head and dodge away.
But, Gu Beicheng firmly held her head in place with his hand; she couldn’t avoid him if she tried.
Strong, domineering yet a familiar presence instantly enveloped Xia Yinian.
Sinking into his scent, his breath, his domination.
Sotis, he seed like a great tree sheltering her from wind and rain.
Yet at other tis, he seed elusive, leaving her completely unable to grasp hold.
She didn’t want, nor did she wish for, such an unpredictable man.
All she wanted was a little happiness, a man who wouldn’t abandon her at any mont, but has he managed to be that?
