Exhaling lightly, Xia Yinian went to tidy up her clothes, preparing herself for a good wash before bed.
So injuries on her body couldn’t co into contact with water, so taking a bath now would simply waste half the ti for no reason.
Half an hour later, when she ca out of the bathroom, Xia Yinian could distinctly detect a strong scent of alcohol in the room.
Who? She frowned and looked around.
She had seen plenty of assassins lately, but an assassin who got drunk before coming out to commit their cri was probably rare.

So tall, it was either Uncle or the Third Young Master.
The Third Young Master would not drunkenly wander into the wrong room, so, was it Uncle on the bed?
The sll of alcohol was so strong; could it be that Uncle really was drunk?
But if he was drunk, why co to her room? And besides, she had never seen Uncle truly drunk before—was this for real, or just an act?
Thinking it over, she decided not to go over there.
Today when she fell, Uncle was helping the pretentious Yu Wanqing, it was the Third Young Master, who saved her. Xia Yinian could never forget the look in Uncle’s eyes at that ti.
Treating her as a stranger outside, and now this, what was he trying to imply?
Regardless of his intentions, Xia Yinian didn’t want to involve herself with this man any further.
She pursed her lips, walked into the clothing room inside, changed into another set of clothes, left her own room, and closed the door behind her.
Not long after, soone knocked on Feng Yan’s door.
Just out of the bath, Feng Yan glanced at the surveillance video, then stepped forward and opened the door.
Seeing the man draped in a bathrobe, his chest revealing a swath of white muscles, Xia Yinian was montarily stunned but soon averted her eyes and walked into the room.
"Dressed so seductively, what are you up to?"
If it weren’t for her mood, she might have even complinted the Third Young Master since he did indeed have an impressive physique.
But this seems to be his room, what on earth did I just say?
Feng Yan closed the door, turned around and walked in.
"That’s the question I should be asking you, isn’t it? Although you aren’t exactly seductive," he said, furrowing his brow as he looked at the girl standing before him.
"It’s all your fault... you bring soone back and don’t arrange a room for him. Now I have nowhere to go, you go sleep with him; I’ll sleep here."
No sooner had she finished speaking than Xia Yinian went over and sat on the bed.
Looking at the furiously angry girl, Feng Yan finally figured out what was going on.
"Beicheng is in your room?" he asked, raising an eyebrow as he casually took a towel to dry his hair.
"Yes, now I’m holess," Xia Yinian said indifferently.
"He’s been to your room before, so why all of a sudden you have nowhere to go?"
Feng Yan’s gaze remained locked on Xia Yinian, continuing to dry his hair.
"Are you actually my brother or not?" Xia Yinian glared at Feng Yan.
"Just today you talked like it was real, and now you’re actually going to stand by and do nothing when a man enters your sister’s room?"
"I’m not leaving you to die, but Nian Nian is an adult now, and as her brother, should I really get involved in this kind of thing? It doesn’t seem appropriate," Feng Yan said with a smile.
"He is my Uncle!" Xia Yinian took a deep breath and lay down on the bed, "I’m not leaving tonight, I’ll sleep here, you—"
Before Xia Yinian could finish, the room door was ferociously kicked from outside, followed by a tall figure twisting open the door and walking in.
The girl on the bed jerked up, even at the risk of aggravating her waist injury.
This door-kicking maneuver... my goodness, it’s terrifying enough to scare soone to death!
