Xia Yinian felt an unusual gaze behind her and unconsciously quickened her pace.
She pushed open the door and walked out quickly.
"Doctor Yuan, please go and check on Lady Qing’s condition."
"Certainly, Miss Niannian." The doctor stationed not far away stepped over.
Xia Yinian sighed softly and looked back at the half-open door again.
The doctor and nurse had gone in, so Uncle shouldn’t suffer too much, right?
She had no other option; hopefully, Uncle wouldn’t be angry.
Scrunching her lips together, Xia Yinian turned and left.
God knows how busy she was; Yu Wanqing was definitely intentional, making it so she couldn’t get much done all day.
Now that she was no longer needed, Xia Yinian would surely leave.
After the doctor and nurse went in, Yu Wanqing on the bed didn’t say a word.
Gu Beicheng was working at a table on the other side, while Chi He stood guard outside on the balcony.
Today, the doctor ca mainly to assess Yu Wanqing’s ntal condition, but they simply couldn’t get through the door.
Thankfully, with the Seventh Young Master back, everything was much easier.
Yet no matter what the doctor asked, Yu Wanqing barely said a few words.
After struggling for over ten minutes, Yu Wanqing turned her face to the side, silently crying.
Seeing the person on the bed, everyone felt helpless.
"Seventh Young Master." Doctor Yuan approached Gu Beicheng and said quietly.
"How is the situation?"
Gu Beicheng’s fingers continued to dance over the laptop, showing no sign of stopping.
The doctor knew Seventh Young Master had many things, all very important, and dared not co too close.
"To prevent Lady Qing from losing control, which might cause greater ntal harm, I don’t recomnd starting psychological treatnt too quickly."
"Seventh Young Master, I wonder what your opinion is..."
"No worries, proceed with all treatnts as you see fit." Gu Beicheng looked up and gazed at Doctor Yuan.
"Certainly, Seventh Young Master, then we’ll be heading out." The doctor nodded.
Gu Beicheng waved a hand and continued his work.
After the doctor and nurse left, the room was filled with only the slight sound of keyboard tapping.
After a while, still not seeing her man co over, Yu Wanqing’s silent sobbing turned to audible cries.
On the balcony, Chi He furrowed his eyebrows, turned around, and walked in, stopping beside Gu Beicheng.
"Seventh Young Master, Lady Qing’s condition doesn’t seem very optimistic."
Chi He’s words made Yu Wanqing’s heart feel a flicker of joy.
Her condition was indeed not optimistic; she needed his consolation, just like yesterday.
Yu Wanqing’s sobbing paused for just a half-second, still echoing softly.
"I heard that Third Young Master Feng has a good sleeping dicine that allows patients to rest and recuperate without any side effects."
"Seventh Young Master, should I ask him for so?" Chi He continued.
"Alright." Gu Beicheng nodded lightly.
His voice was so pleasant, yet he actually agreed with Chi He’s suggestion, leaving Yu Wanqing unsure how to refute it.
"Yes, Seventh Young Master." Chi He nodded and turned to leave.
Gu Beicheng said nothing further, remaining busy.
Lying sideways on the bed, Yu Wanqing felt intensely frustrated. Damn Chi He, to actually suggest sothing like this to her man.
Once she sits in the position of Seventh Mrs. Gu, Chi He will be the first person she wants to dismiss.
Yu Wanqing finally understood why Beicheng was always unkind to her.
It’s all because he had an assistant like Chi He by his side, which is why Beicheng acted this way.
