Seeing the sadness of the girl beside him, Gu Beicheng unconsciously tightened his grip on her small hand.
"As long as you like it, it will be yours." He raised an eyebrow, his cheerful voice ringing out.
"I didn’t say I liked it." Xia Yinian glared at him, still wanting to pull her hand back.
In the past, maybe she would have liked it and often envied Xia Chuxue.
However, now it seems she’s outgrown the age of liking these things, and there’s nothing else to look forward to.
"Hmm?" Gu Beicheng turned his head to et her gaze and grabbed her hand again.
"It’s true, there’s really no need to be so exaggerated." Xia Yinian withdrew her gaze, using her right hand to stir the straw in the juice.
As long as she can be with her family or with soone she likes, even a simple life is a form of happiness.
"What are you thinking about?" The man leaned in closer and asked softly.

"I believe they must have their difficulties. If they could, no one would want to abandon their child."
Xia Yinian pursed her lips and took a sip of juice.
Gu Beicheng frowned and pulled her closer to him.
Xia Yinian turned her head to look at the man beside her, frowning slightly as if to ask what he was doing.
"If they’re all gone..." Gu Beicheng t Xia Yinian’s gaze, his eyes becoming sowhat deep and profound.
Xia Yinian paused, unable to react for a mont.
They’re... all gone? Is Uncle hinting at sothing?
He doesn’t want to help her, but does he know that her biological parents are gone?

"Yes, sir." The bartender placed two glasses of red wine on the table.

Gu Beicheng released her hand, picked up a glass of wine, and handed her one.
"Have so wine; maybe you’ll feel a bit better."
He didn’t want to lie to her and didn’t want her to linger on this matter any longer.
Even if she’s not the Young Miss of the Feng Family, he can still give her the life she wants.
Gu Beicheng’s words made Xia Yinian almost certain of her inner thoughts.
Her biological parents are really gone.
