"Then, I must thank Princess Yun Ya in advance. I’ve designed a complete alchemy automation system, but so materials are hard to find. I’ll have to trouble you with that."

Ling Xiao, based on the mories in his mind, had designed a comprehensive alchemy production line. This system could enable alchemists of lower levels to work together and produce pills far beyond their individual capabilities.

However, this production line required so automated chanical devices. Ling Xiao had already completed the blueprints; the next step was to gather materials for experintation.

Once successful, alchemy would beco far easier in the future.

Though Princess Yun Ya didn’t fully understand what this so-called "alchemy production line" was, she firmly believed in what Ling Xiao said. It was certainly not sothing ordinary. She nodded cooperatively, saying, "Don’t worry. Make a list, and I’ll find a way to handle the materials."

Ling Xiao nodded and promptly handed Yun Ya a detailed list.

"Tsk tsk, though the items on this list don’t seem exceedingly valuable, they sure are cumberso. Others might not manage, but this is exactly what the Tianlong Trade Company excels at—it’s no problem at all."

Yun Ya was intrigued as she reviewed the list of materials. She was even eager to see what the so-called alchemy production line would look like.

"Thank you. From now on, I’ll be in seclusion to refine pills. Yun Ya, I’ll have to trouble you to decline all visitors on my behalf—no exceptions."

Ling Xiao stood up as he spoke.

"No problem. However, the Island Master of Blue Wave Island recently ca to negotiate with Her Highness Moon Lady but was driven away. I’m afraid he might return stronger."

Yun Ya frowned as she replied.

"No need to worry. Blue Wave Island is already a spent force. No matter how many people they send, it’s aningless. Right now, my only concern is whether the pills can be successfully refined. Farewell for now."

Ling Xiao returned to his room, set up a small array formation that isolated space, and began refining pills.

He didn’t allow himself even a mont of rest.

In Cri City, he had witnessed too many powerful forces. If he remained a lone individual, he could never hope to contend with them.

The overall strength of the Heavenly Dynasty Empire must be elevated.

This was an urgent matter.

...

Blue Wave Island, with its thousand-mile-long waves and endless sea surface.

It was a place of breathtaking beauty, ideal for cultivation.

Yet, despite its over two-hundred-year history, the sect of Blue Wave Island was now shrouded in despair. Beneath this picturesque scenery, no one had the heart to cultivate or enjoy the view.

Mo Cong, the Young Island Master of Blue Wave Island, stood atop a cliff, flanked by four individuals dressed in water-blue robes.

His face was pallid with rage.

The Deputy Island Masters, Corpse Granny and Seng Li, had been killed. Even his father, Mo Chou, had been gravely injured by the Moon Lady.

Among the elites sent to Cri City, only his father survived. The rest had all perished.

This series of devastating setbacks had reduced Blue Wave Island to a second-rate sect.

Pirates, who once wouldn’t dare provoke Blue Wave Island, now harassed it frequently.

This constant annoyance was infuriating for Mo Cong.

Yet the worst insult was this: the one responsible for their plight wasn’t so high and mighty figure—it was rely a man nad Ling Xiao!

A re human who had clawed his way up from the bottom of the Heavenly Dragon Continent!

"I agree. If you can kill Ling Xiao for , Blue Wave Island will pledge allegiance to the Water Temple from now on!"

Taking a deep breath, Mo Cong turned to the four water-blue-robed individuals behind him.

"Hehe, the Young Island Master is indeed wise. If that’s the case, the Water Temple will temporarily take care of Blue Wave Island. I believe pirates won’t dare co here anymore. But will your father approve of this?"

One of the water-blue-robed individuals said with a sly smile.

Even though Blue Wave Island was now a "skinny cal," as the saying goes, it was still larger than a horse. As long as the Island Master, Mo Chou, remained alive, Blue Wave Island wouldn’t completely collapse.

It was for this reason that the Water Temple had sent experts to discuss Blue Wave Island’s surrender.

"Don’t worry. Before leaving, my father entrusted the managent of Blue Wave Island to . This is his decision."

Though a mix of frustration and humiliation churned within Mo Cong, he had no choice but to agree.

For Blue Wave Island, this was the only way to survive.

"Just you wait. Once I acquire the Imperial Jade Seal, neither the opportunistic Water Temple nor that Ling Xiao will be spared!"

In his heart, Mo Cong longed for the Imperial Jade Seal even more than for Ling Xiao’s death.

It was clear his father Mo Chou felt the sa.

Currently, they had only one viable path to tread.

If they failed to obtain the Imperial Jade Seal, they could only submit to the Water Temple. Though reliant on others, at least they would find a powerful backer.

...

Another chaotic day passed. The stench of blood wafted from various corners of Cri City.

Cri City was now the most perilous place.

Once martial artists entered, they could no longer leave, and there was a good chance they’d lose their lives.

Yet martial artists continued to arrive in droves.

It seed death didn’t deter them at all.

At sunset, under a blood-red sky, a ramshackle ship docked at Cri City’s harbor.

From the ship, a group of bizarre individuals disembarked. Their bodies were shackled, clad in bronze masks, and bound with iron chains around their wrists and ankles.

At the chain’s end was a massive iron lock.

As these strange figures walked, the iron lock dragging on the ground carved trenches one or two feet deep.

Though they appeared to be moving slowly, their actual pace was alarmingly quick.

Outside Cri City, nurous people had set up camp. They had all co for the Imperial Jade Seal.

No official leader directed them, yet they all shared the sa goal. Cri City permitted entry but strictly prohibited exit.

As this group of masked individuals grew closer, the onlookers began to tense up. Their weapons glead as they readied themselves.

The guards stationed outside the city were all experts, including even Yin-Yang Realm martial artists.

They feared no one, no matter who approached.

But the masked figures moved faster and faster.

Underneath the eerie bronze masks, no facial expressions could be seen—only a pair of bloodshot eyes that inspired dread.

So martial artists instinctively stepped aside, making way for them.

After all, as long as these figures entered the city and didn’t co back out, nothing else mattered. Avoiding conflict was the safer choice.

Weaker martial artists actually preferred for Chaos to engulf Cri City. The more chaotic it beca, the better their chances to fish in troubled waters.

Reaping the benefits of others’ battles was a universal desire.

However, as the masked figures approached, sothing terrifying occurred.

"Kill!"

An ear-piercing shout escaped the masked figures, as though their vocal cords had been damaged beyond recognition.

In an instant, dozens of chains flew into the air, and the massive iron locks slamd down on the guards’ bodies.

The guards were crushed into pulp in the blink of an eye.

"Stop this! If you wish to enter the city, do so. There’s no need to slaughter here!"

A Yin-Yang Realm martial artist guarding the city gate finally stepped forward. Though his rank among Yin-Yang Realm fighters was low, his cultivation still signified incredible strength.
