The room inside the Healing Tower was silent, yet the silence carried a suffocating weight.
Natasha stood near the window, her expression serious, while Emma Rock sat on the bed, staring at the wall as if everything in front of her had lost aning.
"What happened? Why are you not agreeing?" Natasha asked, her voice firm but restrained.
Emma didn’t turn. Her fingers tightened slightly as she spoke.
"No, Master... I don’t want to get treated by that Tony Clark. Never. Not in this life or the next. I won’t allow him to touch ."
Natasha’s brows furrowed imdiately.
"Why? Answer my question. With my help and Tony’s ability, we can cure your body completely. You will be safe and sound in no ti," she pressed, her tone rising slightly.
Emma shook her head slowly.
"No, Master... please understand my situation. I won’t allow Tony to cure . Don’t force ."
Natasha took a step closer, her patience thinning.
"Emma, you are not understanding your situation! The last attack was already brutal. You won’t survive another catastrophe. Listen to ! Take this chance. Once you get healed, with your talent, you can easily obtain a god-level inheritance during the World Tree Blessing. You will beco unstoppable. Can’t you see that?!"
Emma remained silent.
But her fists—
Were trembling.
mories flooded her mind like a storm she could never escape. The Clark family. The forced marriage. That small room. That night. The mont everything changed. The humiliation. The betrayal.
"...Why Tony...?" she muttered, her voice trembling with suppressed anger. "Out of all people in this world... why did you co back into my life again...?!"
Natasha stopped.
Sothing was wrong.
"I am not understanding your problem, Emma. Anybody in your condition would have jumped in joy after knowing there is a cure. What is your problem? Did you already give up on your life?! Do you know how much effort I have placed just to keep you alive till today?!" Natasha asked, her voice now filled with frustration.
Emma suddenly turned.
"Master, please don’t say that!" Her voice cracked. "I am forever indebted to you for what you did. Without you, I would have died long ago."
She took a breath, then continued, her voice turning cold.
"My only problem... is Tony."
Natasha’s expression stiffened.
"I don’t want him to treat . I would rather die peacefully than let him touch my body. Please... don’t force ."
Natasha exhaled slowly, trying to remain calm.
"Why? Because Tony is a useless fellow without talent? Don’t misunderstand him like everyone else... like I did. I also thought he was useless. I even believed the rumors that he violated a dying patient—but he didn’t! That boy is suffering under false accusations. In fact... he is a good man. He has rare healing ability. Trust —Tony will help you."
Emma’s expression twisted.
"No... he is not. Tony is not a good man." Her eyes reddened. "He’s the devil... he’s the evil ghost... he’s the damn bastard who stole my Yin Flower!!!"
The words exploded in the room.
Natasha froze. Her mind— Went blank.
She staggered back slightly and collapsed into the chair behind her, her face drained of color.
"What...?" Her voice barely ca out.
The room fell into complete silence.
Emma clenched her fists tighter, her entire body shaking.
"Tell , Master... Do you still want to allow Tony to treat ?! He is the bastard who ruined my life!"
Tears stread down her face, but her voice did not weaken.
"That Clark family matriarch made a scapegoat for her son. They said Tony would marry ... I believed it. I filled my heart with him like a fool. But after the first night of my fake marraige... after he completely spoiled my body... they threw away like trash!!!"
Natasha couldn’t move... Couldn’t speak.
Emma’s voice turned colder. "In this life, I vowed to take revenge on the Clark family. They will regret what they did to ." Her eyes burned with hatred. "And most importantly... that bastard Tony Clark will pay the price for taking my Yin Flower."
Natasha closed her eyes slowly... She had no words left. No authority left... No right to force her anymore. Without another word— She stood up and walked out of the room.
Her steps were heavy. For the first ti— She felt lost.
***
anwhile—
Tony returned to Lily’s residence just after sunset.
The atmosphere inside was completely different... Warm... Bright.
Lavish food was already arranged on the table, filling the air with rich aromas.
Julie was already seated, happily eating at sticks, her face glowing with excitent.
Tony walked in, stretching slightly as a servant poured water over his hands.
"You look so happy," Tony said casually while washing.
Julie laughed.
"Why wouldn’t I be?! Now everyone thinks Tony Clark is a miracle doctor! I’m proudly flaunting my brother-in-law’s na everywhere. I still can’t believe you’re a real doctor... treating patients and making them moan like that!"
Tony paused... Then frowned.
"Stop the nonsense! I’m not taking any pleasure in treatnt."
Lily, who was seated nearby, raised her head slightly.
"I also saw that video. It looked like you were purposely touching the lady’s body."
Tony turned toward her dramatically. "Wifey, why are you blaming your husband? I am an innocent man!"
Julie burst into laughter.
"I don’t believe you," Lily replied coldly. "Anyway, Julie ca here for your help."
Tony picked up a at stick. "What is it?" he asked while chewing.
Julie imdiately leaned forward. "I accepted a SSS- rank quest from the task board. It’s about collecting herbs."
Tony raised an eyebrow.
"What?! You are not from the Healing Tower. Why did you accept a quest ant for them? Are you trying to escape difficult tasks?"
Julie pouted. "Exactly! I need more ti to cultivate. I don’t have ti to complete those assassin missions. But I still need academy currency to buy martial techniques!"
Tony didn’t hesitate. "If you want academy currency, you just need to ask."
He casually pulled out a large bag from his storage ring and dropped it on the table.
"THUD!"
The table creaked under the weight.
Julie imdiately opened it— And froze.
A massive bundle of academy currency notes filled the bag.
"What?! Brother-in-law!!! Where did you get so much? Even after completing 100 tasks, I wouldn’t get half of this!!!"
Even Lily was stunned.
Tony shrugged. "Oh... it’s just my one-day paynt. Looks like the Healing Tower is really a cash cow."
Julie’s eyes sparkled. Without hesitation, she grabbed a large bundle and stuffed it into her bamboo bag.
"Thank you, brother-in-law!!! Also, don’t forget— you are coming with tomorrow to collect herbs. I already accepted the quest, so no backing out!"
Tony waved his hand casually. "Fine."
But inside— His thoughts were already moving ahead.
Because sowhere— Two remaining Heaven-blessed individuals were waiting to be found.
