Noah floated in the air looking around the basent with cells full of won, all having similar ears as Firria, but very diverse in their skin colors. There were black-, brown-, and even spotted-skinned people, all chained in the cells. However, it was clear that all the won here belonged to the Bullman clans of the Beastman race just like Firria.
Noah read about them before but never t any of them until now. Beastn were not keen on leaving their territories, for many reasons. One of them was that in many parts of the world, they were t with racism. The further they went away from their country the more severe the problem was. So only those confident enough to stand up for themselves, like Keena of the Catman, whom Noah t in Greenville town, would risk traveling around. And even then, Keena was more of an exception, as traveling so far away from Beastman territory as Greenville town, even good fighters tended to avoid.
Beastman territories were situated in the Eastern part of the Human domain. When North and South Kingdoms had common borders with the Kingdom in the East, The Moonstar Kingdom situated in the West was on the opposite side of Central Cathedral that lay between kingdoms and shared no common border with the East country. aning that the Moonstar Kingdom's West territories, where Noah was born, were exactly the furthest place from Beastman territory. And it is in the West domain where the dislike toward Beastman or Mixrace as they also nad them there, manifested the strongest.
Noah personally never had any dislike toward Beastman, but he knew what caused it. Legends and stories of old civilizations that were ruined by the demon invasions were nurous, yet none of them ever ntioned Beastn. From that many people concluded that the Beastn race was an unnatural race, occurring in the tis of demons. In other words, they were unholy creations of demons and served them as their lackeys. And even though there was not a single proof of them ever fighting on the demon side, this superstition was rooted deep in uneducated commoners' minds.
As always people feared what they understood the least. And while North and South countries t Beasn quite often, the travel from West Kingdom to East Kingdom was the hardest. One reason was that several borders had to be crossed. The other is that the territory of Central Cathedral had to be crossed, and Beastman tended to avoid it. In other words, it was the West Country where Beastman could be t the least so it was not surprising that superstition grew the strongest in that region.
But the scene that Noah was looking at was quite strange. Slavery was banned by the Saintess and breaking this law was the sa as spitting on her. Of course, as Noah saw earlier laws did not work in underworlds dungeons, but there were slaves of all kinds. Here, however, they all were not just of the Beastn race, they were the sa type of Beastn. Every chained woman that Noah saw here belonged to so of the Bulln clans.
Where would you find so many Beastman of the sa type? It wasn't hard to conclude that they would have to attack the very territory of that race. Ruin whole villages or towns. Soone dared to enslave a whole race. Who would dare doing sothing so brazen and how was this allowed?
Noah rembered the scene of the burning city from the girl's nightmare and his eyebrows creased. He had to find out more information on what was going on here.
He looked at the ceiling and floated upward, passing through the wooden barrier as a ghost, and soon got outside, finding himself in the normal town instead of the dungeon as he thought he would.
The wooden buildings here were quite a bit different from what he was used to. They were a lot bigger and wider, suiting the big fras of Bulln, while architecture heavily inclined toward having high arch roofs and large doors.
There was however sothing strange in this town that put a questioning look on Noah's face. Many parts of the town had signs of reconstruction just recently. Huge do-like buildings stood here and there, while debris from the buildings that stood there previously hasn't been cleared out entirely yet.
It looked like they were in a hurry to build these dos, postponing the clearing of all the debris later, which transford into mountains of broken logs and furniture around the city.
The other strange thing was that there were almost no people on the street and even where Noah saw any, he could not find any won.
An eerie feeling settled in Noah's mind. This city gave him the creeps. He floated down, coming closer to one of the do-like structures, and froze, seeing a familiar face standing at the door, looking at him with a bit of surprise, yet quite happy to see him, face.
"Well, well, well, Mr. Oz. It looks like our paths crossed yet again." Said Alice with her usual child-like cheerfulness.
"Alice? Why are you here…and what's Oz?"
"It's Dorothy, Mr. Oz. And Oz is your na of course. But you can choose a Tinman or Scarecrow as well. We are the first ones to co so we can choose whatever we like. Except for cowardly Lion, that one is obviously taken, and princess nas would look strange on you don't you agree?" Said Alice with a questioning look on her face.
"I thought I was Mr.SmartySmarty." Said Noah not understanding any of what she said, so he simply labeled it as one of her usual antics
"Tsk." Voiced Alice as if annoyed at him. "We are in the Munchkin Kingdom, Mr. Oz. Obviously we have to be nad appropriately. If you are in Ro, do it like the Romans. Isn't that obvious?"
"What's Ro? I never heard of a place with such a na and you just said it's Munchkin." Said Noah raising an eyebrow.
Alice opened her mouth to say sothing then closed it, only shaking her head as if he was a lost cause.
"Anyways." Said Noah, changing the topic. "Why are you here, Alice."
"Dorothy!" Said Alice looking at him sternly. Noah raised his hands in surrender.
"Why are you here… Dorothy?" He asked, rolling his eyes.
"I am here to see sothing important." Said Alice, happy that he played along.
"See what?" Asked Noah.
"I don't know. It has not happened yet, so I have not seen it yet. I'll tell you when we see it." Answered Alice.
"Then how do you know it's important to see?" Asked Noah.
"There are things that are important, whether you know what they are or not. So stay important even if you don't see them. So are important because you saw them. So are important to see, even if you know what you'll see. But I am here to see sothing important even though I don't know what I'll see." Explained Alice with an expression as if she talked common sense to an idiot.
"I see…" Said Noah with a face full of confusion.
"No, you don't, liar. You can't see it yet. As I said, it hasn't happened yet." She said with a smile.
"No I an… forget it" Said Noah, sighing it was useless to argue in common sense with this girl. "Why do you want to see, whatever it is that you ca to see here?"
"That's my new path. The one we talked about last ti we t. I now need to see what needs to be seen. Because unless it is seen it can't be understood. And the next thing that is important to see will happen here." Explained Alice.
Noah analyzed her word, coming to the conclusion that it was so kind of peculiarity of her system "The Seer". If he was right, the last ti they t she was about to cross stage so this must be her new ability.
"But how would you know that what you saw is what you ca to see if you don't know what will happen?" Asked Noah
"I'll just know when I see it."
"So why aren't you going in? Let's go take a LOOK at what's inside." Said Noah putting intonation on the word "look". "And I am not playing that ga of adding the word "see" in every sentence." Said Noah with a smile, figuring out her play of repeating that word so much intentionally.
"You saw through ." Said Alice smiling cheerfully at him. But the next mont her face lost all cheerfulness as she gazed at the do behind Noah. "Sorry, but I am not going there with you, Mr. Oz." She said, her voice turning gravely serious. "This is not what I am here to see."
Noah watched her face going into gloom and turned to look carefully at the do.
"What's in there?" He asked, turning back to Alice a mont later.
"Sothing that I've seen enough off. I do not wish to add to my nightmare box so more by seeing it again. The box is full of it already." She said, throwing a look at Noah's face but quickly averted her gaze when they t with their eyes as an uncomfortable feeling rose within her.
Noah rembered the ti this sweet cheerful girl showed him her nightmare box and his face went stern.
"I see." Said Noah before turning back to the do and walking into the building. He now had a feeling of what he'll see there, but he had to see it for himself anyway. As Alice said, it was important to see so things even if you already knew what you'll see. Seeing it was different from simply knowing about it. At least sothing of what she said finally made so sense to him now.
Noah passed through the closed doors entering the do-like building unseen by anyone who was inside. However, even if he wasn't in a ghostly state he doubted anyone would be able to notice him.
Previously when Noah appeared inside the prison with captured won he had a strange sense of doubt when he counted them. There were a lot of won there indeed, but far less if they were taken from several villages or towns. This made him doubt the scene he saw in Firria's nightmare. Dreams were not always truthful and most of the ti what they showed were just fignts of the imagination. They were not real. They were just that - bad dreams. However, once he was inside the do he had all his suspicion dispelled. There was no doubt that what he saw in her dream was a replay of her mory.
Loud wails and screams assailed his sense of hearing as soon as he passed the wall. The voices of Bull n and won filled the room reverberating through it as a massive chorus.
What Noah saw in the dim room was a huge crowd of Beastn in crazed states sinking into depravity partaking in a village-sized orgy. Noah could not find a better word to describe it than Village size, as there were Villages in so parts of Moonstar West region smaller in population than the crowd inside this do. And this was not even one such structure in this town, realized Noah in shock.
He stood rooted in place watching hundreds of Bulln of Beastman race totally naked while huffing and puffing in delight and pleasure, screaming their exctasy to the sky in one constant loud background noise.
The thing that struck the eye the most in this constantly moving sea of naked bodies was that while females partaking of this madness with crazed expressions of pure bliss and pleasure were very diverse in their racial differences, coming from all kinds of Bulln clans, there were males of only one single clan. All males were the exact sa skin shade that Noah saw in Firria's nightmare, as crimson as if they were painted with blood.
There was not a spec of excitent or joy in Noah's heart as he stared at the sexual scene in front of him. Instead, he stood watching it in horror.
"Why?" Was the only thought that crossed his mind as he took in the scene with desperation bringing tears to his eyes.
"Why would all these won, that lost their husbands, sons, and fathers to the very n of this Red Bull clan, be so happily fucking them with such ecstatic faces. There was not a single cry of misery or displeasure on the female's faces and that horrified Noah to the degree of wanting to vomit.
