Su Chen slept until past five in the afternoon.
Stretching languidly, he only then leisurely picked up his phone, switched it on, and called Qin Keren.
The phone had died last night. He'd charged it before sleeping and decided not to switch it on to avoid disturbing his rest.
As soon as the call connected, he heard Qin Keren's roaring voice, "You deadbeat Su Chen, where the hell did you disappear to? Why didn't you co to work all day!"
"Cough cough, Director Qin, I'm sick... I was just about to call and ask for leave," Su Chen feigned an extrely weak tone.
Qin Keren originally wanted to scold Su Chen so more, but upon hearing that Su Chen was sick, she imdiately softened. Yet, she wondered how this strong guy could get sick.
"Then you better take good care of yourself and co to the company as soon as you get better!" Qin Keren didn't ask further. In fact, she secretly hoped Su Chen wouldn't co to work.
However, Su Chen was specifically kept by the CEO's order, and she speculated that maybe this guy had so major connections.
Best to keep an eye on him for a little longer.
After hanging up, Su Chen sighed contentedly. There's nothing like having soone to cover for you.
Although Qin Keren seed stern and cold on the outside, he knew that this chick was actually warm-hearted on the inside.
After all, she was a woman he had had a close encounter with.
He had a certain understanding of her character.
Regarding this leader, Su Chen was quite satisfied.
How could he not be? Asking for leave was a re phone call away, with the added perks of potentially getting an advance on his salary and occasionally being able to cozy up to the higher-ups.

It was a woman in a red long dress, who seed utterly unfazed by the near neck-snap, sitting on the bed with a smile.
Her leg swung lightly, revealing a large expanse of fair skin beneath her dress.
"Fiery Empress, since you've found my ho, you should know I already have a wife," Su Chen said gravely.
The Fiery Empress stood up, walked behind Su Chen with a swaying grace, sliding her hands around his waist, and hugging him, she rested her head on his back, whispering softly, "Are you sure she's really your wife?"
"I'm sure and certain!"
"Well, even if she's your wife, why do you sleep separately?" The Fiery Empress traced circles on Su Chen's chest with her fingers.
"It's my choice, none of your business, right?"
The Fiery Empress let go of Su Chen, her eyes filled with strangeness as she said, "From my observations, that young CEO is still a bona fide virgin. Death God, don't tell you can't even handle a little CEO? Do you need your sister to help you out? You know I have lots of good stuff."
Hearing the Fiery Empress ntion her many 'good things,' Su Chen's face twitched involuntarily and he hastened to say, "No thanks!"
The 'stuff' ntioned by the Fiery Empress was naturally the kind that could bewitch and confuse one's mind.
Su Chen was not so despicable as to use those tactics on his own wife.
Furthermore, he could indeed have Lin Xi.
