Now reading: Chapter 604 - 416: Blue Star’s Destiny, Children of the Race from Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone, a Eastern novel by Causes ariseand the dust remains as before..

Even an Undead Mage like Fang Zhou—who possessed the Mana Conductor Specialty, the Transcendent affix, the Strong Calmness skill, and was decked out in multiple pieces of luxurious Magic Equipnt—had to constantly be mindful of conserving his mana while exploring the Forest of Nature. That went double for these ordinary students.

However, the Calamity Squad had only been observing for a few minutes when they saw that the students from Sea City Military Academy were no fools. They soon took action, sending an emissary to negotiate.

Just then, a Harpy returned from the sky, flapping her wings to land beside Fang Zhou. She reported urgently, "Master, our reconnaissance found roughly a dozen Bear Monsters hidden in the jungle. From the looks of it, they seem to be defending sothing!"

Fang Zhou glanced at the dense forest again. "Perhaps they’re defending whatever caused this place to beco a Fallen Forest. No wonder the Eagle Mother didn’t personally lead the Harpies to drive out these Fallen Bear Monsters. Such a dense forest isn’t an ideal battlefield for them."

In fact, Fang Zhou had already deduced a few things from the ongoing battle. The Bear Monsters weren’t taking the initiative to attack but were only passively retaliating. They even seed to be adhering to certain rules. If they crossed a certain line, they would rather take an extra hit than fail to retreat back over it imdiately. This indicated their range of activity was limited and that they were likely guarding sothing rather than just engaging in mindless combat.

So theoretically, if these Bear Monsters always stick to that rule and their enemy has sufficiently strong long-range forces, it might be possible to kill them without taking any damage, Fang Zhou mused. Of course, with a thod like that, given the current long-range damage output of the Sea City Military Academy squad, they probably couldn’t wipe out all the Bear Monsters even if they fought until nightfall. After all, most of them lack the power to pierce their defenses.

Just then, the other team’s emissary reached the Calamity Squad. A young Mage student hurried over, his face lighting up with excitent when he saw Fang Zhou. "It’s you, Master Fang Zhou!" he exclaid.

Fang Zhou was slightly taken aback. He sized the young man up but couldn’t recall who he was at all. "I am Fang Zhou," he said. "And you are...?"

The Mage student chuckled, a bit embarrassed. "Master Fang Zhou, you’re an important person, it’s natural you’d be forgetful. I’m Wu Di, a third-year and a mber of the Gale Squad. I applied to join your Calamity Squad once, during the team-up for the Black Iron Lower-rank Simulation Battlefield."

Even with this explanation, Fang Zhou still had no real mory of him. It couldn’t be helped; a truly staggering number of students from Sea City Military Academy had requested to team up with him. He didn’t let this show on his face, however, simply smiling as he replied, "I see. What a coincidence. Next ti we’re back at the academy, we can clear out the Simulation Battlefield together."

Wu Di was instantly overjoyed. "Thank you, Master Fang Zhou!" he said gratefully. As he expressed his thanks, he couldn’t help but sneak a glance at the creature standing a few ters away from Fang Zhou. It was a Demon Swamp Frog, several ters tall, with fiery red scale armor, looking incredibly majestic and proud.

Fang Zhou is an Undead Mage... I have no idea where he got such a cool animal companion, Wu Di muttered to himself, careful not to let his shock show on his face.

Seeing the student seed a bit distracted, Fang Zhou couldn’t help but remind him, "Did you co over for a reason? It looks like the battle over there isn’t going too well."

Even in the short ti it took to exchange these few words, Fang Zhou saw a Heavy Armor Knight student being beaten back repeatedly by several Bear Monsters, clearly on the verge of exhaustion.

Wu Di snapped back to his senses and hastily said, "Master Fang Zhou, our Gale Squad would like to invite your team to help us take down these Bear Monsters! We’ll split the loot based on contribution!"

The reason Fang Zhou had stopped was to avoid any misunderstandings, as he hadn’t wanted to interfere with their battle. But now that the Gale Squad had formally requested aid, he naturally wasn’t going to refuse. He quickly issued a command. The Calamity Squad, along with the Flower Butterfly Girls and Harpies they had recruited, mobilized once more, advancing on the Bear Monsters from the flank.

At the forefront of the formation were, of course, the Skeleton Warriors and Zombies that Fang Zhou was continuously summoning. The horrifying number of these Undead Creatures far exceeded Wu Di’s imagination, leaving him visibly shaken. He didn’t say anything more, however, simply giving Fang Zhou a quick nod before hurrying back to his team.

CRACK. CRACK.

The terrifying sound of the Undead Army on the march naturally drew the attention of both sides of the conflict. The students of the Gale Squad’s eyes lit up with delight when they saw the reinforcents Fang Zhou had brought, while the Bear Monsters let out deep roars, seemingly sensing the new threat.

Once they were nearly within the Skeleton Archers’ range, Fang Zhou waved his hand, casting Skeleton Armory and Brutal Aura on them.

Eagle Mother Destiny had previously ntioned that the Bear Monsters’ greatest weakness was poison. The corrosive properties of Poisonous Energy were sufficient to disrupt the Bear Monsters’ self-healing abilities. In this regard, the Corrosive Poison created from undead energy was naturally even more effective against the Bear Monsters than other toxins.

Soon, when the Skeleton Archers’ arrows, imbued with Corrosive Poison, rained down on the Bear Monsters, the terrifying damage they inflicted made Wu Di and his teammates’ eyes go wide. They knew the Bear Monsters had a weakness to poison, but they had never imagined it was this severe.
