Gu Xi then tidied up his clothes and took out the Shattering Staff, using it like a Civilization Staff in his hand, and strolled towards his territory.
As he walked, Gu Xi also put a piece of jerky in his mouth, ready to turn it into a Corpse Bomb to throw at any sudden movent from his opponent.
It didn’t matter if it would actually kill anyone; the sound alone would be enough to bring the guards around.
Fortunately, this strangely dressed fellow did not have any inclination to actively attack Gu Xi.
Instead, he glanced at Gu Xi and, after confirming that Gu Xi was the owner of this place, he smiled at him.
Only then did Gu Xi manage to get a clear look at the fellow’s face, and he was undeniably handso, with a brown beard covering half his face, and his gaze looked normal, unlike those two Twisted Mages Gu Xi had previously killed.
But for so reason, when the fellow smiled, Gu Xi felt as though he was being watched by a powerful beast.
However, Gu Xi was not soone to easily back down; faced with this pressure, he took a step forward, a slight sneer appearing at the corner of his mouth.
That action was clearly mocking the person in front of him.
The fellow wasn’t angry, rely watching as Gu Xi entered the ruins before he slowly walked away.
So ti after the fellow left, Shaya sneaked into the ruins.
At that mont, Gu Xi was sitting in front of the unfinished gate, sipping seriously from a cup of hot water.
"How did it go?"
"Found the fellow’s base, got so intel. The one who appeared at our gate today was an entity called the White Demon King, part of a semi-official magic organization in Victoria City, with its own academy and administrative system.
The White Demon King is the most powerful entity within this organization, and rumor has it he even slew a dragon."
"Wait, you said this is a semi-official magic organization in Victoria City, doesn’t the British Emperor mind?"
Gu Xi interrupted Shaya.
"How could he mind? The founder of this organization, rlin, was an advisor and ntor to King Arthur. Jas I banished Mirror City using the magic forces of these mages on behalf of the state.
Do you think anyone would confront them under such circumstances?
Do you believe that every high-ranking noble family in Victoria has a couple of mages of considerable strength living with them?"
"It seems this was a node subtly set up by those mages, but now it’s ours,"
Gu Xi said nonchalantly; as long as he waited here for a day until his small building was complete, he could exit this ga.
Who knows when he’ll be back next ti.
So what if he offended a magic organization or two.
Even if it ant offending the British Royal Family, Gu Xi wouldn’t back down.
Shaya wasn’t aware of Gu Xi’s thoughts, but being fearless by nature and currently an Undead, she didn’t think much of the magic organization.
Listening to Gu Xi, she didn’t regard the White Demon King and others with any importance.
Gu Xi then told Shaya, "You’re back just in ti. I’m going to Yalidov for a while. You stay here and don’t let anyone near this position."
Yalidov?
Shaya knew Gu Xi had a city belonging to him, but he had never taken her to that city of the Undead.
Upon hearing this, Shaya responded seriously, "Rest assured, sir, there will be no problems with here."
Gu Xi nodded and vanished into thin air.
In the next mont, Gu Xi appeared in front of the Assembly Hall in Yalidov.
"Master, what brings you here?"
"Just ca to take a look and give you this, find ti to get this library built."
As Gu Xi spoke, he handed over the [Library Design Blueprint] along with ten children’s storybooks.
Upon receiving these items, Luna quickly started flipping through the [Library Design Blueprint].
"Master, this is a great item."
Gu Xi was observing the changes in Yalidov. Though he had been away only a few days, the city had completely transford.
Useless buildings and ruins had been demolished, and various pieces of furniture had been moved.
Additionally, the materials and bodies transported from the ruins today had been sorted and categorized.
Since there was currently no warehouse, most of the stones and wood were stacked in the open space outside the Assembly Hall.
Even so, the materials were piled neatly, indicating Luna had a bit of an obsession with tidiness.
The bodies brought back had all been sent to the Evil Church, now undergoing the final step of cleaning.
Once cleaned, these bodies would be selected.
Those relatively intact would be preserved to be deployed on the battlefield when Gu Xi needed them, whether as sources of Corpse Burst or to cast Bone Shield or Soul Summoning Skill, a large number of bodies were needed.
With no other sources for bodies, these deployed on the battlefield equivalent to live ammunition.
Though wasteful, it was deed necessary.
Those bodies no longer intact were buried in the cetery behind the Evil Church, and these bodies would be made whole in the cetery, ultimately increasing the skeleton production rate of the Evil Church in the coming weeks.
Walking around half of Yalidov City, Gu Xi saw the newly built Tavern and Owl House.
The Tavern had been repurposed from a three-story building, its ground floor walls were removed, easily allowing views of the inside from outside.
The tavern door had a wooden sign hung over it, depicting a goblet of wine, and a small dagger.
From what common knowledge he acquired from Shaya, Gu Xi instantly recognized that the tavern offered more than just drinks and als but also functioned as a Thief Guild.
[Building Na: Tavern
Level: Level 1 (Upgradeable)
Traits:
The tavern provides five regular als a day.
The tavern can boost the morale of stationed troops.
Depending on the tavern’s number and level, it also provides intelligence on nearby enemies.]
Seeing the tavern’s attributes, Gu Xi had a bewildered expression.
The tavern could boost troop morale, which was good, but did Undead need morale?
The tavern could provide intelligence on nearby enemies.
Were there even enemies near Yalidov?
Luna had used up a core building slot just to provide five als a day, wasn’t that a bit wasteful?
If he’d known, he would’ve insisted on building a warehouse, even if it ant going hungry.
