Now reading: Chapter 126 - 125: Medical Dispute? No, This Is Clearly a Mu from University Doctor and His Fragile Patients, a Drama novel by Jian Qian.

Chen Mu had one hand in his pocket.

He lowered his eyes and pondered for a mont.

"What if the hospital compensates you?"

The woman, who had been crying just a mont ago,

suddenly lifted her head.

"Five million!"

"No way..."

The woman rolled her eyes anxiously, "There are a lot of us, ten million!"

"As long as we get ten million, we won’t hold the hospital accountable!"

"I’m dumbfounded as soone who studied law. Unless her husband earns millions a year, or at the very least hundreds of thousands, it’s impossible to get compensation of five million, let alone ten million!"

"Is the issue whether compensation can be given? It’s clearly not the hospital’s fault, so why should they pay?"

"Exactly! Once you open this door, every ti a family mber dies, are the relatives going to cause trouble at the hospital?"

"In the face of huge interests, don’t overlook the darker sides of human nature!"

"..."

Upon hearing the woman’s response,

Chen Mu nodded.

He turned to the side and asked a young nurse, "Can soone take us to the dical office?"

"What for?"

"Where’s that?"

"Are you trying to calm my emotions, then downplay everything until it blows over?"

"Let tell you, you incompetent doctor! If you don’t take responsibility for our whole family, I’ll kill myself right here so you’ll see my face in your nightmares!"

Chen Mu sighed, "The dical office is the hospital’s departnt for handling dical disputes."

"To get the compensation you want, you need the dical office’s approval."

"Otherwise, a regular chief surgeon won’t be able to make such a decision or co up with that amount of money."

Upon hearing Chen Mu’s explanation,

the woman rolled her eyes, her gaze wary as it lingered on the live streaming cara.

She remained in a state of skeptical uncertainty regarding what Chen Mu said.

Following the woman’s line of sight, Chen Mu saw the streaming cara.

In an instant, he understood everything, "If you’re worried we’ll trick you during this process, then invite this caraman to co with us, how about it?"

"In front of a live streaming cara, we wouldn’t dare do anything shady, right?"

Hearing this,

the cara operator and the filming crew exchanged looks, sensing sothing was off about Chen Mu’s expression.

Why did it seem like Chen Mu’s words implied they were strangers, despite Chen Mu evidently being a doctor at the hospital?

Although unclear about Chen Mu’s exact intentions,

the caraman, whose job was rely to docunt, nodded in cooperation, "Such a serious matter, our audience would want to see what happens next anyway."

Upon hearing the caraman say this,

the troublemaking woman’s expression slightly relaxed.

"Our nurses are a bit busy, but we’ve already arranged things online with the dical office. Can you go there yourselves?" The young nurse, holding a phone, asked nervously.

Her gaze involuntarily fell on the woman behind.

Although unsure of what exactly Chen Mu intended by taking her to the dical office,

for her, it was enough that this person was no longer causing trouble in the ICU area.

What happens next,

is a headache for the dical office, that’s precisely their responsibility anyway!

Chen Mu nodded, "It’s fine, we’ll manage on our own."

After greeting the principal’s wife and the vice-principal,

Chen Mu proceeded to lead the woman to the dical office.

Su Bingbing blinked as she followed alongside Chen Mu.

Dr. Chen hadn’t even looked at the hospital signs on their way to the dical office!

Chen Mu led the group into the elevator.

In a spot out of the cara’s view, Chen Mu picked up his phone.

Su Bingbing felt a vibration from her phone, and when she saw the latest content on WeChat, she blinked in shock.

When Chen Mu led the group off the elevator,

Su Bingbing quietly left the queue heading to the dical office, holding her phone.

"This must be Liu Jian’s family mber, correct?"

"Hello, hello, I’m the head of the dical office, my last na is Jia, you can just call Director Jia!"

As soon as Chen Mu and his group entered the hospital’s dical office,

a middle-aged woman in a white coat warmly greeted them.

Ignoring Director Jia’s outstretched hand,

the woman snorted coldly.

With disdain, she walked past Director Jia’s hand,

heading straight to the couch in the dical office, "Ten million! When will your hospital transfer it to ?"

Director Jia looked bewildered, "Our hospital did nothing wrong, why should we give you ten million?"

The woman stared in disbelief, "Just now your hospital’s doctor clearly..."

Click—

Listening to the sudden sound of a lock closing nearby,

the woman looked towards the noise to see Chen Mu had locked the dical office door.

"Ah!"

The woman scread as she stood up, pointing at Chen Mu and the door lock, then at the streaming cara.

"Do you see this?"

"Do you see it?!"

"It’s still live streaming, and this hospital dares to unlawfully detain a patient’s family mber!"

Hearing such heavily charged words,

Director Jia was also a bit startled, looking disapprovingly at Chen Mu, "Chen, you..."

Before she could finish,

she saw Chen Mu gently shake his head at her.

Despite having many words of questioning on the tip of her tongue, thinking of Chen Mu’s usual way of handling things, Director Jia held her peace.

She decided to observe first and see exactly what Chen Mu intended to do.

As the woman was becoming increasingly frantic, Chen Mu calmly moved a chair.

Then he sat down directly in front of the door.

"I! I’ll fight you!"

The woman’s eyes were red as she brandished a knife, ready to rush at Chen Mu.

Just as the knife was about to reach Chen Mu’s body,

"If you harm with that knife, regardless of your circumstances, it’ll be treated as an ard assault!"

The knife tip stopped just less than five centiters from Chen Mu.

The woman glared at Chen Mu with shifting emotions, "Doctor, this is a society ruled by law."

Chen Mu smiled and nodded, "I know this is a lawful society, that’s why I called the police!"

"You called the police?"

"What for?"

"???"

"I don’t know if it’s just my imagination, but after Dr. Chen said he called the police, this woman seed a bit scared, as if she really didn’t want Dr. Chen to call them?"

"Poor police, having to deal with such headache-inducing disputes again."

"But from the hospital’s perspective, if reason can’t prevail, it’s better for the police to get involved, right?"

"..."

Facing the woman’s sowhat panicked eyes,

Chen Mu smiled and nodded, "Yes, I called the police! Because this isn’t a dical dispute, it’s a preditated murder case!"

The woman’s hand gripping the knife tightened involuntarily.

"What do you an!"

Chen Mu waved his hand with a smile, "I haven’t accused you of anything; there’s no need for you to be so agitated. Our hospital has caused your husband’s death, after all!"

"Our hospital is caught up in a murder case!"

"If the hospital can’t afford to pay you ten million, then we’ll just have to send the responsible doctor to jail!"

"Wouldn’t that be considered a reasonable legal explanation for the patient’s family?"

Chen Mu smiled.

But the smile didn’t reach his eyes.
