When it was ti to get off work, Lin Kuang drove Liu Shilin and Lin Guo'er ho. In the car, Lin Guo'er kept asking sensitive questions that made Liu Shilin's pretty face turn crimson. She glared fiercely at Lin Guo'er several tis, but Guo'er just giggled, paying it no mind. In the end, Lin Kuang had to step in and rescue Liu Shilin, who looked as if she might die of embarrassnt.

Once they were ho, Lin Guo'er went straight upstairs to get ready. She was eting old classmates, after all, and a woman had to dress up for the occasion. Liu Shilin, her face still flushed, sat beside Lin Kuang, clearly not having recovered from the teasing.

"Alright, don't be shy. I'll deal with Guo'er for you tonight," Lin Kuang said with a laugh, pulling Liu Shilin into his arms.

"Hmph, I don't believe you. It'll be a miracle if you two don't team up to bully ," Liu Shilin snorted.

"How could that be? I will always protect my dear Shilin," Lin Kuang replied with a grin.

Liu Shilin shot him a skeptical look but quietly nestled into his embrace.

A full hour passed before Lin Guo'er ca downstairs. In a rare sight, she was wearing a long black dress, sothing she almost never wore. The dress was plain and unadorned, giving it a very simple elegance. Around her neck hung a crystal pendant that rested on her chest, making her look like a queen and exuding an aura of untouchable, unapproachable nobility.

Her pretty face was lightly made up, making her look even more enchanting. Her red lips were particularly seductive, tempting one to lean in for a kiss.

"Lin Kuang, let's go. Shilin, you wait for us at ho, okay?" Lin Guo'er said with a smile.

"Okay," Liu Shilin agreed cheerfully.

"Guo'er, you're actually wearing a dress? That's not like you at all. Shorts and a tank top are more your style," Lin Kuang teased as he looked at Lin Guo'er.

"It's a class reunion, so I have to be a little formal. Co on, the etup is at seven, and we shouldn't be late," Lin Guo'er urged.

Lin Kuang glanced at the ti; it was just past six. "Shilin, if we get back late, just go to bed. Don't wait up for us, alright?" he said, looking at Liu Shilin with a smile.

Liu Shilin smiled and nodded. "I know. You two go on."

Lin Kuang nodded, gave Liu Shilin a kiss on her cheek, and then left with Lin Guo'er. The two of them sped off in the Maserati.

"So, where are we going?" Lin Kuang couldn't help but ask, glancing at Lin Guo'er beside him.

"The Red Dust Club. In East Sea, it's second only to the Xiangya Club," Lin Guo'er replied with a smile.

"Oh? Why does a na like that sound like an ancient brothel?" Lin Kuang remarked.

"Tsk, that just proves you have a dirty mind. 'Red Dust' refers to the bustling mortal world; it's ant to be a place of respite. How did you twist that into a brothel?" Lin Guo'er retorted irritably.

"Er, my mistake then," Lin Kuang said, a little deflated.

"However, your guess wasn't completely off," Lin Guo'er continued seriously, clearly privy to so inside information. "There are a lot of won there, all of them quite beautiful, and most are B-list or C-list starlets. Of course, they have A-listers and big-na celebrities too, but that all depends on if you can pay the price. Before the Xiangya Club was established, the Red Dust Club was the top dog in East Sea. Rumor has it that the owner is also from Yanjing, with a status on par with the Chu Family. Chu Zhongtian ca here to build up his credentials, and the Red Dust Club didn't want to provoke the Chu Family, so they never competed with him. But make no mistake, the Red Dust Club is a force to be reckoned with."

Lin Kuang nodded. "I see. That makes sense. By the way, who is this guy you ntioned who's chasing you? For you to be so annoyed and unable to shake him off, he can't be just so rich kid, can he?"

Lin Guo'er giggled. "My little man is so clever. You're right, that guy is no ordinary person."

"Ahem, let reiterate: I am not a *little* man. You should know that very well," Lin Kuang said, giving her a aningful smile.

Lin Guo'er paused for a mont and licked her red lips, a rather tempting sight. "So, a *big* man, then?" she asked with a grin, deliberately emphasizing the word "big."

Lin Kuang laughed and nodded. "Correct. In my opinion, it is definitely a 'big man.' What do you think?"

"Alright, fine, you're a big man. But no matter what, you'll always be my little brother," Lin Guo'er said, giving him a provocative wink.

At that, Lin Kuang slid a hand under her skirt, his palm caressing the smooth skin of her inner thigh. "My dear Guo'er, don't push , or I might just find a place to take care of you right now," he said, his tone feigning annoyance.

Feeling his touch, Lin Guo'er's pretty face turned a few shades redder. Normally, she would be wary of his threats, but today was different. She had a class reunion to get to, and it wouldn't do to be late.

"Alright, big man, you win this round," she said with a hint of exasperation, catching his mischievous hand.

"Hehe, that's more like it," Lin Kuang said with a grin, retracting his hand. "Now, keep telling about the guy who's after you."

"His na is Hou Mingshi. He's from Yanjing, not East Sea. We were classmates because we both went to university here. He ca all the way from Yanjing this ti just to see and try to get to be his girlfriend. I couldn't care less about that womanizer. However, his father has a significant background in Yanjing—he's the deputy mayor. And you know, in a place like Yanjing, being a deputy mayor is a big deal. Because of his status, I can't be too blunt with my rejection. Hou Mingshi probably mistakes my hot-and-cold attitude for playing hard to get, which is incredibly frustrating," Lin Guo'er explained, sounding genuinely vexed. If she could, she would have set him straight long ago.

"Oh, I see," Lin Kuang said. "But Guo'er, you're basically throwing your husband into a pit of fire. His background is that powerful, and you expect a commoner like to get involved? Isn't that just suicide?"

"Oh, cut the crap," Lin Guo'er retorted, looking at him with dissatisfaction. "Don't play dumb with , you bastard. I may not know your true identity, but I know you're anything but simple."

Just as Lin Kuang was about to reply, they arrived at the Red Dust Club.
