Upon hearing the old man’s words, Diwu Baiyu’s expression changed slightly, a murderous gleam flickering in his eyes. "This ti, we must wipe them out completely!"
"Let’s hope so. Those people are too powerful. Besides, it’s not them I’m most worried about, but our own internal conflicts. That’s what worries most," the old man said with a soft sigh.
At his words, Diwu Baiyu’s face darkened. He considered the old man’s words and realized his worries were justified.

Hearing this, the old man simply nodded and said no more. Diwu Baiyu also fell silent.
anwhile, back in his room, Lin Kuang was chatting with Liu Shilin and the others. After not seeing them for a few days, he had missed them dearly. After nearly an hour, Lin Kuang finally put his phone down and prepared to cultivate.
However, just then, Yao Wenwen ca rushing in, bursting directly into Lin Kuang’s room. Lin Kuang was slightly startled, but seeing the anxiety on Yao Wenwen’s face, he knew sothing was wrong.
"What’s wrong?" Lin Kuang asked, looking at her with curiosity.
"There’s trouble! It’s Yingying! Her family put her under house arrest!" Yao Wenwen said, her voice rushed and anxious.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang’s expression froze, and he shot to his feet. "What did you say? Sister Yingying is under house arrest? What happened?"
"What else could it be? Yingying told her family about you two because she was trying to help you. However, the Xu Family won’t approve of you being together, so they put her under house arrest," Yao Wenwen said irritably.
At her words, Lin Kuang’s expression changed. He hadn’t truly considered this possibility. The thought that Xu Yingying was under house arrest for trying to help him sent a pang of anguish through him.
"Let’s go. To the Xu Family!" Lin Kuang declared, turning to leave.
"Hmph, now that’s more like a man," Yao Wenwen muttered as she watched him go.
"Grandpa, I need to go to the Xu Family," Lin Kuang said, approaching his grandfather.
"Go ahead. If you run into trouble, Grandpa’s got your back," his grandfather replied in a calm tone, not even asking for the reason.
A warmth spread through Lin Kuang’s heart. "Yes, Grandpa." With that, he turned and left.
Yao Wenwen followed, and the two of them got in a car and sped directly toward the Xu Family’s residence.
At that mont, Xu Yingying was trapped in her room. Two guards stood sentry at her door, preventing her from leaving.
"Grandpa, are you just going to stand by and watch them keep under house arrest?" Xu Yingying muttered to herself, her voice laced with helplessness.
She had naively thought that if she got together with Lin Kuang and told her grandfather, he would approve of their relationship. However, Xu Yingying now realized she had oversimplified things. Her grandfather had flatly refused. Her father, anwhile, had been so angry he trembled, and he imdiately had her confined to her room.
"Father, Yingying is being utterly absurd! This is sheer foolishness!"
At that mont, in her grandfather’s room, Xu Yingying’s father, Xu Chengjun, spoke with a grim expression. Sitting opposite him was his own father, the patriarch of the Xu family, Xu Shanming.
"Alright, what’s done is done. What’s the use in getting angry now?" Xu Shanming said irritably, glancing at his son.
"But... but..." Xu Chengjun stamred, unable to find the right words.
"Hmph! It’s all that bastard Lin Kuang’s fault. If it weren’t for the Lin Family, I’d have him shot!" Xu Chengjun said furiously.
The Xu family had always maintained neutrality, making them a target for recruitnt by the four great families of Yanjing. But I have to tell you, even if Old Man Lin dies, the Lin Family is not to be underestimated!" Xu Shanming said, looking at his son with a grave expression.
Is that old bastard really going to die so easily? I doubt it. Xu Shanming thought to himself, but he did not say the words aloud.
"Uh, without the old Lin patriarch, what can they possibly do?" Xu Chengjun asked doubtfully.
"They can do plenty. Enough, you shouldn’t ask about these things. Now that we have Yingying under house arrest, I’ll see what that boy Lin Kuang does. Let’s see if his actions can satisfy ," Xu Shanming said, a sudden chuckle escaping him.
Seeing this, Xu Chengjun grew even more confused. His father didn’t look angry at all. In fact, it almost seed like he was testing Lin Kuang. The thought left Xu Chengjun completely baffled as to his father’s intentions. However, listening to his father’s words, it was clear that things weren’t as simple as he had imagined.
"Alright, stop overthinking it. You don’t understand the affairs of us old-tirs. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes," Xu Shanming said, glancing at his son once more.
"Okay, alright. Father, I’ll take my leave then," Xu Chengjun said.
"Mm, go on," Xu Shanming responded indifferently.
Hearing this, Xu Chengjun nodded and turned to leave his father’s room.
anwhile, Lin Kuang drove Yao Wenwen’s car at top speed, arriving at the Xu family’s courtyard residence in just over ten minutes. After stopping the car, Lin Kuang didn’t say a word and strode directly into the courtyard. Yao Wenwen quickly followed him.
"Halt! Who are you?" the two guards at the gate demanded in a cold tone as they blocked Lin Kuang’s path.
These two guards were soldiers, assigned by the state to protect the Xu family.
"Please inform Uncle Xu that Lin Kuang of the Lin Family requests an audience," Lin Kuang said, forcing himself to suppress the rage in his heart.
"Lin Kuang?"
Upon hearing the na, the expressions of the two soldiers changed slightly.
