Hearing this, Lin Kuang and Mu Wan didn’t stand on ceremony and followed Yu Chong into the manor. After they entered, Yu Chong glanced around before closing the main gate. However, just as he closed it, his finger discreetly pressed a spot on the handle, instantly sending a ssage through the network. Lin Kuang and Mu Wan didn’t notice this subtle movent; after all, it was just a simple press of his finger.
"Please co in."
Standing at the villa’s entrance, Yu Chong smiled and beckoned for Lin Kuang and Mu Wan to enter, his deanor exceptionally cordial.
Lin Kuang and Mu Wan nodded and walked into the villa’s main hall.
"Do you two wish to return ho directly, or...?" Yu Chong asked with a smile.
"If possible, we need to return to Hua Country imdiately," Lin Kuang replied after a mont’s thought.
"Alright. But what did you two do? If the situation is urgent, I can only send you to another country first. You’ll have to make your own way back ho from there. After all, if you caused a huge commotion, trying to return to Hua Country now would easily arouse suspicion," Yu Chong said, looking at them seriously.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang nodded. What Yu Chong said made a lot of sense.
"Okay, in that case, please send us to Arica first," Lin Kuang decided.
"Alright. Please wait a mont while I arrange for a pilot," Yu Chong said with a smile before leaving.
"Let’s wait. It should be ready soon," Lin Kuang said with a chuckle.
"Sure, no rush," Mu Wan replied, smiling back at him.
Lin Kuang smiled and nodded in return. The two waited quietly, but after five minutes, Yu Chong still hadn’t returned. Lin Kuang’s expression changed as he instinctively sensed that sothing was wrong.
"Wan’er, let’s go!" Lin Kuang said, standing up abruptly.
Mu Wan nodded, having also realized sothing was amiss.
The two of them headed upstairs, since that was the direction Yu Chong had gone. Once there, they found a hallway of closed rooms, with no sign of him.
Looks like this Yu Chong is the problem.
"Wan’er, this way!" Lin Kuang said, leading them back downstairs.
As they descended, the roar of engines erupted outside. A convoy of military jeeps screeched to a halt at the gate as soldiers from the Island Country sward out, beginning to encircle the manor. At the sa ti, a dozen ninjas in black robes swiftly infiltrated the estate.
Seeing this, the faces of Lin Kuang and Mu Wan turned grim. Yu Chong had betrayed them.
"Damn it! That traitor!" Lin Kuang said, his face contorted with rage and his eyes filled with murderous intent.
"Let’s go, Wan’er, follow ," Lin Kuang said, pulling Mu Wan toward the back of the villa.
Reaching a rear window, Lin Kuang kicked it open, and they both leaped out one after the other.
At that mont, the dozen ninjas burst into the villa, just in ti to see them escaping. Without hesitation, the ninjas shot out of the villa in pursuit, rapidly closing the distance.
anwhile, the Island Country soldiers were quickly forming a periter. Lin Kuang’s goal was to break through before the encirclent was complete.
"Mr. Yu, you have done very well this ti," Nakagawa Nagakawa said with a smile, standing at the villa’s entrance with Yu Chong beside him. The ssage had been sent when Yu Chong pressed a button on the gate as he was closing it. Yu Chong had been bought by Nakagawa Nagakawa long ago, which was why Nakagawa had an elite troop and a ninja squad waiting at the military base for this very signal.
"You flatter , Mr. Nakagawa. I was only doing what I should," Yu Chong replied. He was like a fawning lapdog, bowing his body and speaking with a sycophantic tone. It seed he wouldn’t refuse even if Nakagawa Nagakawa ordered him to lick his toes right then.
"Good. As long as you understand," Nakagawa Nagakawa said dismissively, clearly satisfied with Yu Chong’s performance. "Speed up! Hunt down those two Chinese! Take them alive if possible. If not, kill them on the spot!" he ordered, his voice like ice.
Lin Kuang’s expression turned incredibly dark, not because of the Island Country soldiers, but because of Yu Chong’s betrayal. The fact that a citizen of Hua Country would willingly beco a traitor for the Island Country enraged Lin Kuang to his very core.
As the Island Country soldiers began to appear before him, a murderous intent surged in his eyes.
"Wan’er, we fight side by side again! Today, we’ll slaughter our way out of here and make these little devils tremble! We’ll show them the power of the people of Hua Country!" Lin Kuang spoke with an icy tone, drawing Naless from his waist.
Mu Wan nodded and drew two gleaming daggers from her back.
"First, we eliminate the ninjas. They’re the most annoying," Lin Kuang declared, bursting forward and swinging Naless in a wide arc.
Two ninjas drew their katanas, attempting to block his attack. But against Naless, their katanas were like tofu, instantly severed. The two ninjas’ heads flew high into the air as they died in the sa instant. Lin Kuang had attacked with his full power, a terrifying force that these two ninjas had no hope of withstanding.
Mu Wan was stunned by his combat prowess. She never expected Lin Kuang’s strength to have grown to such a terrifying level in just over a year. But on second thought, it made sense. Without such power, how could he have beco a mber of Dragon Front? After all, she had joined by coincidence, while Lin Kuang had entered purely on rit.
With that thought, Mu Wan no longer hesitated. Her daggers flashed as she joined the battle. Mu Wan was a mber of the Wolf Special Forces, where her skill had been second only to Lin Kuang’s. Now, after more than a year, her strength had also grown considerably.
The furious Lin Kuang struck without reservation, his overwhelming power on full display. The dozen or so ordinary ninjas stood no chance against him. In just over a minute, he had dispatched all of them—so with pierced brows, others with punctured hearts or slit throats.
At the sa ti, Mu Wan finished off the two ninjas she was fighting, plunging her daggers into their hearts.
Lin Kuang sheathed Naless and turned to Mu Wan. "Wan’er, stay behind . We’re breaking out." At that mont, a bulging, heavy-looking bag appeared in his hand.
"Alright, let’s fight our way out," Mu Wan affird.
"Good. Stay close. Let’s go."
With that, Lin Kuang shot forward. He reached into the small bag, plucked out a shuriken, and sent it flying with lightning speed.
