"As expected of the number one and two assassins on the Killer List. Your strength is truly formidable," Lin Kuang said with a laugh, his confidence unwavering.
"And you live up to your title as the King of the Underworld. You’re even stronger than we imagined," Klaus retorted, his expression grave as he watched Lin Kuang.
"Co on, let’s fight!"
As he spoke, Lin Kuang executed the Bagua Willow Catkin Step Technique. His body blurred, lunging forward with the Naless Sword aid directly at Klaus’s throat. Seeing this, Klaus didn’t dare to be careless, swiftly dodging the terrifying strike. Imdiately after, Klaus thrust out with the two daggers in his hands, aiming directly for Lin Kuang’s heart. Daniel didn’t move; he was waiting for the perfect mont to strike a fatal blow.
Lin Kuang remained calm, his Naless Sword moving in a swift, horizontal slash aid at Klaus’s neck. If Klaus continued his attack, his head would be severed long before his daggers could pierce Lin Kuang’s heart. But Klaus wielded two daggers, not one. Just as Lin Kuang’s blade swept in, Klaus quickly raised the dagger in his left hand, blocking the Naless Sword. Simultaneously, he accelerated his other hand, stabbing rapidly toward Lin Kuang’s heart.
Witnessing this, Lin Kuang’s expression remained placid, unperturbed by Klaus’s attack. The next mont, his left hand shot out. With a fluid, untraceable motion, his hand clamped down on Klaus’s wrist, neutralizing the attack in a flash.
However, Klaus’s power and reflexes were on full display. The dagger in his seized hand plunged downward, its sharp tip stabbing fiercely toward Lin Kuang’s wrist.
Just then, Daniel’s eyes glead. With a flourish of his Triangular Military Spike, he charged. He appeared behind Lin Kuang, cutting off any path of retreat. The sharp military spike stabbed viciously toward the vital point on Lin Kuang’s back. Daniel was certain this strike would be fatal, as Lin Kuang was locked in a stalemate with Klaus.
However, the mont Daniel made his move, a smile touched Lin Kuang’s lips. This was the very mont he had been waiting for.
With that thought, Lin Kuang loosened his grip. He launched himself from the ground, executing a hawk’s sorsault that brought him directly behind Daniel. While still in midair, Lin Kuang kicked out fiercely with both feet at Daniel’s back.
In an instant, Daniel’s expression changed drastically. He realized he had been tricked! In that split second, with no ti to think, Daniel dropped and rolled away, narrowly and awkwardly avoiding the attack. It was only due to his vast combat experience that he managed to escape; anyone else would have been struck down by that kick.
Seeing Daniel dodge, a trace of frustration flickered in Lin Kuang’s eyes. He had hoped that kick would severely injure his opponent, but it seed Daniel was even more formidable than he had imagined. As this thought crossed his mind, his hands touched the ground, completing the maneuver.
The instant his feet landed, Klaus stomped down hard. The marble floor beneath him shattered as he shot forward like a bolt of lightning, his dagger aid straight for Lin Kuang’s heart. Klaus gave him no ti to dodge; his attack was both fierce and rciless.
But Lin Kuang had already anticipated this. The mont his feet touched the ground, he instantly deployed the Bagua Willow Catkin Step Technique, his figure retreating rapidly. When it ca to speed, Lin Kuang feared no one of his generation. Since Klaus was a step below him in power, there was no way he could keep up.
Effortlessly avoiding the attack, Lin Kuang thrust the Naless Sword out again. This ti, its cold blade stabbed viciously toward Klaus’s lower abdon. In response, Klaus powered his legs and spun, evading the strike. At the sa ti, he swung his dagger down from above, aiming for Lin Kuang’s neck.
Lin Kuang remained unconcerned. He kicked out with his right foot, aiming directly at Klaus’s lower abdon. Seeing this, Klaus had to abandon his attack; otherwise, he would be kicked long before his dagger found its mark. Halting his advance, Klaus soared into the air, his feet lashing out fiercely toward Lin Kuang’s head. The exchange between the two was incredibly fast, happening in the blink of an eye.
Lin Kuang’s body shot backward, instantly avoiding Klaus’s attack. At that very mont, however, Daniel reappeared. He rushed out from an angle, his Triangular Military Spike aid at Lin Kuang’s waist.
Faced with this sudden assault, Lin Kuang’s speed surged. The sharp point of the military spike grazed past his waist, missing his flesh by a hair’s breadth. Daniel had been a fraction too slow. If he had been just a little bit faster, Lin Kuang would have been severely injured, if not killed.
Having dodged Daniel’s attack, Lin Kuang halted abruptly. He whipped his elbow up and back in a fierce strike aid at Daniel’s back. In that instant, Daniel felt the chilling premonition of death. Having survived hundreds of battles, his reactions were lightning-fast. Without a second thought, he dropped flat to the ground, and Lin Kuang’s elbow strike hit nothing but air.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang kicked out at Daniel’s waist. Daniel rolled rapidly across the ground, once again managing to awkwardly evade the attack.
Just then, Klaus charged forward again, his Double Daggers thrusting toward Lin Kuang’s brow and throat. Although the two assassins had never fought together, their coordination was seamless. Even Lin Kuang could find no flaw in their teamwork.
It’s true. Those who have stared death in the face and survived have a grasp on battle that ordinary experts can’t match. They’re far more difficult to deal with.
Under that barrage of lightning-fast attacks, any other expert of Daniel’s caliber would have surely died. Yet Daniel had managed to dodge. It was clumsy, but it was the only way to survive the assault.
Now, as Klaus lunged in for the kill, a sharp glint flashed in Lin Kuang’s eyes. The technique of his Naless Sword changed in an instant.
