Zhan Tian slowly stood up.
As he rose, a powerful pressure appeared out of thin air in the grand hall.
Even Ji Ze, who was already at the Peak of Seventh Layer of Dao Realm, changed his expression drastically under this pressure.
"Let the old ghost co out; this matter is beyond your decision."
Though Zhan Tian’s voice was not loud, it carried supre authority. Ji Ze wanted to refute, but was horrified to find that he couldn’t even open his mouth.
Deep within the island, in the pavilion, the Great Elder in the copper coffin sighed.
The happenings in the grand hall were clear to him.
"An old pile of bones, still have to co out to et guests!"
His shriveled hands slowly lifted, resting on the sides of the copper coffin. With a slight exertion, his body slowly sat up.
"Huff, huff..."
Breathing heavily, "About to die, getting up is such an effort."
He shook his head in self-mockery, then a spiritual power erged from his sea of consciousness.
"Buzz!"
A buzzing sound arose around the copper coffin, followed by ripples.
"Ah, wasted again."
At this mont, the Great Elder seed like a talkative old man.
But what he said was true.
Every ti the array sealing the copper coffin opened, sealing it again required a massive amount of resources.
This could only be sustained by Dark Moon; anyone else wouldn’t be able to endure such waste.
The array opened, and the Great Elder’s body, as if weightless, slowly floated up and left the copper coffin.
"How many years has it been since I left here?"
The Great Elder looked through the distant window at the outside scenery, feeling extrely emotional inside.
However, his shriveled eyes showed reluctance.
To him now, even a glance was extrely precious.
"Don’t know when the next ti will be?"
"Or... never again?"
Though he wanted to look a while longer, the atmosphere in the grand hall was already becoming tense and confrontational.
"Must go!"
Sighing, he stepped out of the pavilion.
In the grand hall.
"Zhan Tian, this is Dark Moon, not your Three Judicial Departnts. We’ve treated you kindly per etiquette. If you want to be unruly here, don’t bla Dark Moon for not being polite."
Ji Ze now unleashed his strength to the utmost, finally resisting this pressure, his long hair flying wildly in the air.
But... facing Zhan Tian, he felt so insignificant, so powerless, like a re drop in the ocean.
"Whether it’s Dark Moon or elsewhere, this all belongs to Great Yu."
Zhan Tian spoke casually.
Looking at Ji Ze with contempt, Peak of Seventh Layer of Dao Realm was not much; if he wanted, it would only take a few slaps.
"Indeed!"
"All are Great Yu’s places."
At this mont, an ancient voice ca from outside the grand hall.
"He has arrived!"
Zhan Tian and Liu Sheng exchanged glances, their expressions imdiately solemn, not as relaxed as before.
"Tap, tap, tap..."
Monts later, a white-haired, hunched figure appeared at the entrance of the grand hall, leaning on a cane and panting heavily.
"Great Elder!"
Ji Ze instantly ca to his side, supporting him with one hand, feeling deeply guilty inside.
Unexpectedly, he still ca out in the end.
"Ah!"
The Great Elder sighed, looking at Zhan Tian, a hint of a smile appearing on his bloodless face, "Old age is useless, just a short walk tires , pardon ."
Then, with Ji Ze’s support, he slowly sat on the top seat.
"Zhan Tian, correct?"
"Yes!"
Zhan Tian nodded slowly; it was his first eting with the Great Elder of Dark Moon.
Although superficially a dying old man.
But at the mont of his appearance, Zhan Tian’s heart tightened.
"I’ve heard the Minister of the Three Judicial Departnts of this generation rose step by step on his own, and indeed, different from those family heirs."
"Hehe!"
Zhan Tian chuckled, "Just an old man, nothing worthy of ntion."
"Old man?"
"In front of an old immortal like , you are far from being an old man."
Saying so, the Great Elder shifted his position, leaning back on the chair, feeling more comfortable.
Then he looked at Liu Sheng, "Chief Eunuch Liu of the Ritual Departnt."
"I’ve long heard of the Great Elder’s na; today, I finally t you."
"What’s so good about seeing a dying old man?"
The Great Elder self-deprecated.
"You two ca for the Winged Dragon Beast, but I need its essence blood every month to sustain my life. Without it, I cannot live."
"So... do you think I should give it or not?"
His words made Zhan Tian and Liu Sheng’s brows furrow imdiately.
"We are determined to obtain the Winged Dragon Beast; whether you give or not depends on the Great Elder’s will."
Liu Sheng spoke softly.
Instantly, the atmosphere in the grand hall beca bizarre.
Give it, and he’s done for!
The Great Elder handed the choice to them.
But Liu Sheng must have it, kicking the choice back.
Regardless of life or death, it’s none of his concern.
"Does Chief Eunuch Liu an there’s no negotiation?"
The Great Elder’s expression tightened, slowly standing while leaning on the cane, his hunched body not even half of Ji Ze’s height beside him.
The scene appeared quite bizarre.
Yet as he rose, Zhan Tian and Liu Sheng’s expressions grew serious.
The Great Elder of Dark Moon, even they two felt trendous pressure.
"Ultimately, whether negotiation is possible doesn’t depend on us, but on the Great Elder’s will."
Liu Sheng said calmly.
Zhan Tian’s peripheral vision glanced at him, then looked towards the top, preparing to fight at any mont.
"Doesn’t Chief Eunuch Liu think he’s being excessive?"
"The Winged Dragon Beast belongs to Dark Moon; you co demanding it forcibly, where is the justice in this world?"
Ji Ze couldn’t hold back anymore, angrily looking at him.
