"Look, Tan Sitian is coming," Fan Xiaoxian pointed with her chin to the left and sneered, "Just look at the group following behind her, flattering and fawning. It's disgusting to watch."
"She's about to debut as a star. Naturally, many people will want to ride her coattails," Qin Mo comnted, glancing over briefly without paying them much mind.
"Well, I can't stand the sight of them!"
Just as she spoke, Tan Sitian didn't walk past but stopped, feigning surprise. "Oh, isn't this our top student, Qin Mo? What are you doing here, contemplating the aning of life?"
"She's probably wondering why you, Sitian, were chosen when she's supposed to be the most outstanding student in the departnt," a girl following Tan Sitian scoffed, quick to curry favor.
"Exactly. She is the recognized top student, after all. How could she possibly be happy about this?"
"This just proves that getting good grades in school is completely useless."
"Haha, what a huge irony."
The rest of the entourage chid in with their own taunts.
Qin Mo's expression darkened instantly. She turned to Fan Xiaoxian and said, "Xiaoxian, let's go." With them outnumbering her and being able to twist the truth, Qin Mo had no desire to argue. It was pointless.
Fan Xiaoxian, however, wasn't having it. She rolled up her sleeves and shot back, "Look at all of you, a bunch of pathetic lapdogs. You aren't even ashad of kissing up to her; you're actually proud of it?"
Her words imdiately provoked the group, and they snarled and jeered.
"What did you say?"
"You're calling us dogs? Who do you think you are?"
Despite being outnumbered, Fan Xiaoxian didn't back down an inch. "I said you're dogs, bootlickers! What's wrong? Did I strike a nerve? Does the truth make you uncomfortable?"
"Let's go," Qin Mo said, pulling at Fan Xiaoxian's arm.
Tan Sitian, however, stepped forward and blocked Qin Mo's path. She chuckled, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Why the rush to leave? Where are you going? Let guess."
Tan Sitian made a show of pondering for a mont before saying with mock earnestness, "You're going to et your brother-in-law, aren't you?"
"Shut your mouth!" Qin Mo snapped.
"Getting angry already?" Tan Sitian laughed loudly, then turned to the crowd. "You all don't know, do you? That day at Star Dream Company, Qin Mo and her brother-in-law were acting so intimate."
Finally, she turned back to Qin Mo and asked, "By the way, does your sister know about this?"
"Tan Sitian, stop spouting nonsense!" Qin Mo was utterly infuriated. Chen Yang had co to rescue her that day; there was nothing remotely intimate about their actions. This damn woman was deliberately slandering her to ruin her reputation.
Tan Sitian leaned in close to Qin Mo and sneered, "I'll rember that slap for the rest of my life. I'm not only going to ruin you at school, but I'll make sure your life is hell after you enter the real world too!"
"You…" Qin Mo was filled with righteous indignation, glaring daggers at Tan Sitian. That despicable woman started trying to strip her clothes off, which was why Chen Yang had slapped her in the first place. And now she dared to seek revenge?
The sheer audacity of it made Qin Mo laugh in anger.
"Look, Li Si is here!"
"Oh my God, she's so tall! Her figure is stunning!"
"Li Si, I love you!"
Not far away, a woman in a long down jacket and a face mask, flanked by several bodyguards, was walking slowly toward them in high heels. A crowd of students followed closely behind, with more rushing over from all directions.

Qin Mo and the others all turned to look.
"Sitian, Li Si must have co here just for you."

Tan Sitian took a couple of deep breaths to calm her racing heart and quickly walked toward Li Si. As she got closer, a bodyguard imdiately stretched out an arm to block her way.
Tan Sitian hurriedly explained, "Miss Li, I'm Tan Sitian, the person Star Dream Music Company chose to sing a duet with you."
"Oh, so it's you," Li Si glanced at her and nodded slightly. "Mm, you're a very pretty girl."
"Thank you for the complint, Miss Li," Tan Sitian bead, pressing her advantage. "There's a cafe nearby with a nice atmosphere. We could go there to talk."
"Uh…" Realizing the misunderstanding, Li Si smiled. "I'm not here for you today."
Tan Sitian: "…"
Then, Li Si walked right up to Qin Mo.
Taking off her mask to reveal her stunningly beautiful face, she looked Qin Mo over from head to toe before finally speaking. "You must be Qin Mo, right?"
"Yes, that's ," Qin Mo replied, completely bewildered as she stared blankly at the huge celebrity before her.
Li Si gently ruffled her hair. "I'd like to invite you to participate in my concert and sing a song with . Would you be willing?"
