Now reading: Chapter 711 712: With my blood, I swear!! from Urban Carefree Warrior God, a Action novel by Zhong Xiaofa.

My word is a testant for heaven and earth to witness.

Chen Yang's eyes narrowed. In that instant, he was like an unsheathed blade. The raging wind reversed its course and the gloomy clouds churned, as if the very heavens and earth had changed color for him. Monts later, the chilling aura lingering over the do of the sky slowly dissipated.

CRASH.

The porcelain bowl in his hand silently shattered, the fragnts carried away by the wind.

*With my blood, I swear!*

Then, amidst the fierce snowstorm, Ning Kun hoisted the Python Sparrow Devouring Dragon battle flag. It soared upward, fluttering against the gale.

***

The snowstorm intensified, blanketing the landscape in white. It should have been a joyful sight, but from the common folk to the noble houses, everyone felt a heaviness in their hearts that matched the icy, bone-chilling weather.

That afternoon, a ssage arrived from the front line. It didn't just pierce through Hanyun Valley; it shook the entire nation to its core, threatening to overturn it completely.

Three million Barbarian Military Guards had spread out along the entire Hanyun Valley border, launching a full-scale offensive on multiple fronts. The statent was concise, but its implications made every heart tremble. This single battle would determine if the nation fell or if the undefeatable myth of the National Defense would be rekindled. It was a fight that would decide the fate of all.

An hour later, the battle report arrived: The eastern and western fronts had completely collapsed. The enemy had advanced ten miles and was now less than three kiloters from the gates of Hanyun Valley.

"Defeated again..."

"I heard the other fronts are just as intense, with heavy casualties. The situation is bleak!"

"..."

This day was destined to be extraordinary, one for the annals of history. A gloomy mood settled over the populace, mirroring the overcast sky. In this era, they had never known defeat, always looking down from a position of victory upon the lands beyond their borders. But now… how were people to accept one loss after another?

"If he were still here, would the situation be different?"

"Forr Chief Military Commander, we beseech you, fight for this nation once more!"

"We implore you, battle once again!"

"..."

Another hour passed, and the southern and northern fronts fell in succession. The Barbarians, however, seed to grow stronger with every victory. If nothing unexpected happened, they would breach the nation's gates and set foot in Hanyun Valley before nightfall. The only reason Hanyun Valley had not already been plunged into disaster was that the Forr Chief Military Commander had once expanded the border by one hundred and eighty miles, providing a crucial buffer.

***

anwhile, on the western border of Hanyun Valley, bones were piled into mountains and blood flowed like rivers.

The hundreds of thousands of Martial Guards from the Qingteng Martial Zone, led by General Tian Ling, were defeated after hours of fierce battle. They retreated in disarray, leaving behind the bodies of over one hundred thousand of their comrades. In the end, they were outflanked by the Barbarian Military Guards, who sliced through their ranks and encircled a portion of them.

The clang of weapons and the roar of war cries shook the heavens.

In less than an hour, the force of tens of thousands was reduced to just General Tian Ling and fewer than a thousand survivors.

"A disorganized rabble."

At the head of the Barbarian Military Guards, Hua Ying, a division Commander, sat astride a tall steed. He held the reins in one hand and a war spear in the other, from which blood dripped to the ground. Though past sixty, he was brimming with vitality. His tiger-like eyes glead with a golden light, and he exuded a chilling killing intent that was terrifying to behold.

Ordering his troops to surround the survivors without killing them, he looked down on Tian Ling from his high perch. "For a long ti, my Barbarians were weak, and with an incompetent King, you were able to sha us again and again. Now, our new King is in power. He has swept across ten nations, victorious in every battle. And you... you are nothing."

The implication was clear: the Barbarians' previous defeats were not because their enemies were strong, but because they themselves were weak and saddled with a foolish ruler. Now, under their new King, they would be an unstoppable, crushing force.

"You... don't you dare be so arrogant!" General Tian Ling roared with righteous indignation, his spirit undiminished despite the desperate situation.

"They say your Forr Chief Military Commander was quite the character. I was eager to see for myself, but it's laughable that your own people crippled him," Hua Ying sneered, shaking his head. "In any case, I'm sure he was just a fraud, a worthless man fishing for fa. If I ever t him, I, Hua Ying, would teach him how to behave with this very spear!"

"Whether in personal combat prowess or strategic troop deploynt, that Chen Yang is nothing more than a three-year-old child in my eyes," Hua Ying added with an arrogant, dismissive scoff.

"You don't know the imnsity of heaven and earth," Tian Ling said coldly. "If Chen Yang ca, you wouldn't even have ti to cry for your parents! You only dare to talk so big behind his back."

"I won't waste my breath on a dead man," Hua Ying waved his hand dismissively. "Go. Capture them all alive."

"Yes!"

The shouts shook the heavens. Led by a deputy general, a new wave of attacks was about to begin.

WHOOSH!

The sharp sound of sothing cutting through the air suddenly exploded overhead.

"You're courting death!" Hua Ying reacted instantly, lashing out with his hand, but he was a step too slow.

THUNK!

The deputy general, who had been brimming with killing intent a second before, was pierced through the chest by a silver spear. The massive inertia of the blow threw him from his warhorse, sending him flying backward until he was pinned diagonally to a large tree.

"Hm?" Hua Ying's brow furrowed. His tiger-like eyes turned dark as he stared intently ahead.

RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

The very ground seed to tremble.

This… Hua Ying's face changed. As a veteran of the battlefield, he knew that sound all too well. It was the sound of at least several hundred thousand n charging.

"You seem... quite impressive?"

A voice, ethereal yet ringing throughout the heavens, suddenly echoed across the field.

Tian Ling's expression jolted. He almost blurted out, "Com-Commander!"

At once, the gloom vanished from the faces of the less than one thousand remaining soldiers, their spirits soaring.

Who else could it be but Chen Yang?

Clad in a Python Sparrow Devouring Dragon battle robe and holding his Three-Foot Green Peak Sword, he approached with a leisurely stride.

"Good of you to co," Hua Ying snarled. He thrust his hand out, palm down, aiming to crush Chen Yang's skull from above. A wave of killing intent washed over the field. "This old man will slaughter you like a dog!"

Chen Yang's eyes flickered. When they opened again, his casual air had vanished, replaced by a cold, razor-sharp edge. His aura surged, as if a god of slaughter had just descended upon the world.

SWISH!

With a flick of his sword, he slashed Hua Ying from his horse, leaving a gash across his chest so deep the bone was visible.

"This..." Hua Ying's eyes bulged in disbelief.

The deputy generals at his side all drew a sharp breath. That... a single slash brought the Commander down?

"Well?" Chen Yang asked.

As the word left his lips, eight hundred thousand Martial Guards from Hanyun Valley descended upon the Barbarian Military Guards like a swarm of locusts, an unstoppable force ready to crush them.

BOOM! RUMBLE!

Wave after majestic wave they charged, the thunderous rumble of their advance and their suffocating killing intent striking fear into the hearts of their enemies. A Python Sparrow Devouring Dragon battle flag rose with the wind, baring its ferocious fangs against the swirling snow.

"A mont ago, you called them a rabble?" Chen Yang said as he took a step forward.

Hua Ying, who had finally co to his senses, felt a chill run down his spine.

*Py-Python Sparrow Devouring Dragon.*

On the battlefield ahead, waves of blood erupted in an instant. The sky itself seed to tremble from the earth-shattering war cries. With a single charge, a third of the Barbarian force was cut down.

BOOM!

Hua Ying's eyes looked ready to burst from their sockets. As he struggled to his feet, the two armies collided on the vast battlefield, a thunderous crash that sent up a sky-high mist of blood.

"Well?" Chen Yang asked again, his hands clasped behind his back as he slowly uttered the single word.

Hua Ying was speechless.
