SPLOOSH.

The downpour intensified. Atop the mountain peak, now completely shrouded in a veil of rain and mist, a huge crater was a ghastly sight.

Kneeling on the ground, Gu Tianxing's face had turned a dark, purplish hue, his expression one of utter revulsion. His aura was in disarray and his body was sared with blood, cutting a truly pathetic figure. An extre, gnawing humiliation invaded his every limb and bone.

Who was he? A heaven's favored child from the Inner Court of the Biluo Sword Valley, fad far and wide. And he had been beaten to the ground without any chance to fight back?

The most crucial point was that his opponent wasn't from Yuning Mountain, but a re commoner from the secular world.

How could he possibly bear this?

He had lived for over thirty years and was treated with the utmost respect wherever he went. He could even tease Liu Qingi with impunity.

But who could have imagined that at this mont, he would not only be seriously wounded but also publicly called a scoundrel and a waste! So many people were watching. How was this any different from being stripped naked and thrown out under the sun?

SPURT.

Gu Tianxing's vital energy roiled within him, and he spat out another mouthful of blood.

"You… you sneak-attacked !" Gu Tianxing roared furiously. He slamd a palm on the ground and shot to his feet, pointing a finger at Chen Yang with his eyes practically bursting from their sockets. "Feeling proud of yourself for using such despicable, underhanded tactics, huh?!"

"In a fair fight, I'd slaughter you like a dog!"

Gu Tianxing stared at Chen Yang in the distance. Soone was holding an umbrella for him as he smiled and chatted with Liu Qingi, causing the rage in Gu Tianxing's heart to boil over.

What was the aning of this? Facing a heaven's favored child like himself, Chen Yang wasn't vigilant in the slightest. Instead, he was completely nonchalant. This showed a complete lack of regard for him, Gu Tianxing!

"Tianxing, don't be rash," Gu Li cautioned.

But Gu Tianxing turned a deaf ear, his eyes bloodshot. "I'm going to kill you!"

Chen Yang glanced at him and shook his head with a faint chuckle. "Oh?"

"What are you laughing at? My strength is considered outstanding even in the context of the entire Yuning Mountain! On that point alone, you, a piece of trash from the secular world, can't even begin to compare!" Gu Tianxing declared arrogantly, his tone full of conviction. "So, what right do you have to put on airs in front of ? If you have the guts, let's fight!"

Chen Yang beckoned with his finger. "Are you ready now?"

CLANG!

Gu Tianxing drew his sword at once. A sharp Sword Qi instantly rippled outward, filling the air in a ten-ter radius. Even the pouring rain seed unable to bear it, evaporating rapidly upon contact.

"Go to hell!"

He slashed out, and the void trembled. The curtain of rain was torn open as a towering beam of sword light descended, aiming for Chen Yang's head.

SWISH.

A flicker of starlight appeared. Instantly, the sword light disintegrated, scattering into tiny motes of light that vanished without a trace.

"Bastard!" Gu Li bellowed, striking out with his fingers held together like a blade.

"You old fool, how dare you!"

Liu Qingi, who was just as focused on the battle as Gu Li, flicked her wrist. Her three-inch blade tore through the air, carrying a trendous killing intent as it raced toward Gu Li with the speed of lightning. In an instant, Gu Li's furious strike was shattered by the small blade, erupting in a brilliant spray of sparks.

BOOM!

Reacting a mont too late, Gu Tianxing clearly felt a gale-force wind sweep toward him. He instinctively raised his longsword to block, but his entire arm, sword included, was cleanly severed. Caught completely off guard, Gu Tianxing staggered backward with thunderous steps. On his retreat, the bones throughout his body shattered and blood sprayed from his wounds until he finally collapsed powerlessly to the ground.

The thousand-strong crowd of onlookers stood rooted to the spot, utterly dumbfounded. If Chen Yang's first victory was considered dishonorable, what about this one?

"Ahhh!" Gu Tianxing clutched his severed arm and let out a guttural scream. Blood trickled continuously from the corners of his mouth. As he struggled back to his feet, his crimson eyes, twitching violently at the corners, fixed on Chen Yang.

He had seen it clearly. The sword in Chen Yang's hand had only been half-drawn. Half-drawn… to kill a prodigy of his own generation with a half-drawn sword.

Chen Yang glanced at Gu Li and asked nonchalantly, "Are you convinced now?"

Gu Tianxing remained silent.

"If not, you may continue."

Gu Tianxing's heart was filled with suffocating frustration and rage. How… How is this possible?! If he had lost to a monstrous peer from Yuning Mountain, so be it. Yuning Mountain was teeming with geniuses, and prodigies were as common as hairs on an ox. But this guy… he was just from the secular world.

As the mist parted, Chen Yang walked toward Liu Qingi. "Didn't your family ever teach you that showing respect is the most basic of manners? Hmm?"

SPURT.

At his words, Gu Tianxing spat out a mouthful of black blood, his eyes rolled back in their sockets, and he collapsed, unconscious.

"Liu Qingi, he severed my nephew's arm, and you're going to protect him?" Gu Li roared, his eyes bulging like bronze bells and his voice like muffled thunder.

"Hmph!" Liu Qingi scoffed. "Old fool, are you blind or deaf? It was your nephew who demanded a fair fight with my cousin. Forget a severed arm; even if he had been slain on the spot, he would have brought it upon himself. He was incompetent, a piece of trash. Does he still have the face to stand here barking?"

As she spoke, she patted the approaching Chen Yang on the back and gave him a thumbs-up. "Nicely done, cousin."

Gu Li was so furious he almost coughed up a mouthful of blood. Are they doing this just to infuriate ?

"Not convinced?" Liu Qingi said coolly, toying with her small knife, a smirk playing on her lips. "You're more than welco to try your luck. See if my cousin and I don't cut you down."

Gu Li was speechless. He truly couldn't handle two Heavenly Saint Peak Fist Masters.

"Cousin, I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused," Chen Yang said apologetically.

"What nonsense are you talking about? We're family." Liu Qingi grabbed Chen Yang's arm. "Since you're here, don't go back! I can guarantee your absolute safety in the Red Lotus Valley."

Chen Yang didn't respond.

Liu Qingi's expression faltered, and she heaved a long sigh. "You… you really must go?"

"I must," Chen Yang nodded.

"Sigh." Liu Qingi smiled bitterly. "It's true what they say: like mother, like son. You're just as stubborn as she was. But I still don't have anything to give you for protection."

"There's no need," Chen Yang smiled. "I mainly ca this ti to see you, cousin."

SMACK.

Liu Qingi smacked Chen Yang on the forehead. "You little brat. We'll have plenty of chances to see each other later. Why are you acting like this is our final goodbye?"

"Right, did the Chen Family give you the Ancestral Sword?" Liu Qingi suddenly recalled sothing and quickly added, "Those two swords are actually one! The Chen ancestor brought it back from Yuning Mountain long ago. It contains a secret. You should study it carefully when you get back."

"What secret?" Chen Yang asked curiously.

Liu Qingi shook her head, indicating she didn't know.

THUMP. THUMP. THUMP.

The sound of urgent footsteps approached from the distance.

"It's people from the Biluo Sword Valley!" Liu Qingi's expression changed. She urged Chen Yang, "You have to go! Quickly!"

Chen Yang didn't delay. He gave Liu Qingi a deep bow before striding away.

He ca and now he thinks he can leave? Gu Li sneered and slashed out with his sword. His goal was obvious: stall Chen Yang until his reinforcents arrived. Once they did, what chance would this piece of trash have of surviving?

CLANG!

A frost-like Sword Qi shot out to et Gu Li's attack head-on.

BOOM!!

The impact was like a lightning strike. The ground fissured in all directions, and the entire mountaintop trembled from the force.

Gu Li was forced back three consecutive steps, each one cracking the earth beneath his feet. A trickle of blood seeped from the corner of his mouth.

This… Gu Li's face was a mask of horror, his pupils shrinking to pinpricks.

Even Liu Qingi looked astonished. She could see that Chen Yang was even stronger than she had imagined. With his sword fully drawn, he could split mountains and shatter rivers!
