Suddenly, most of the car’s body had subrged, and the four n swam around the car helplessly.
The pedestrians on the riverbank had already called the ergency number, but by the ti the police arrived, it was feared the people inside the car would have already t their fate.

Fang Bai nodded again, then he took off his coat and jumped into the river.

“We’ve done our best; let the ergency services handle it!”
The last man sighed, his face a mix of regret and pity, knowing that by the ti the ergency services arrived, the person in the car would probably have perished.
Just then, with the sound of water splashing, Fang Bai erged from the water, along with a woman.
The woman’s red dress clung to her body, her black hair spreading out in the water like ink, her eyes tightly shut, her exquisitely beautiful face as pale as paper.
By the ti Fang Bai rescued the woman from the subrged sports car, she had already lost consciousness.
“Good job, lad!”
Seeing Fang Bai rescue the person, a round of applause and cheers erupted from the riverbank.
Fang Bai supported the body of the woman in the red dress, swam to the riverbank with her, then carried her onto the shore and laid her down on the ground.

The bald man was not a doctor at all; he was simply attracted by the woman’s beauty and wanted to take advantage of the situation.
He pretentiously crouched down and was about to lay his hands on the woman in the red dress.
“Get lost!”
Fang Bai’s eyes turned slightly cold as he let out a light reprimand toward the bald man.
The sound reached the bald man’s ears like a sudden clap of thunder, startling him so much that he plopped down on the ground, his ears buzzing nonstop, unable to recover for quite so ti.
Fang Bai averted his gaze, turned the woman’s head to one side, and lightly pressed on her abdon a few tis.
The woman’s body jerked and she spewed out several mouthfuls of river water, followed by a bout of violent coughing.
As she coughed, a piece of bright green jade pendant slid out from her chest and shone with a translucent glow under the streetlights.
Seeing the bright green jade pendant, Fang Bai imdiately dismissed the thought of leaving.
He helped the woman in the red dress sit up, and after she stopped coughing, he asked, “Do you feel any better?”
The woman, barely regaining her composure, gave Fang Bai a blank look and murmured, “Am I… dead?”
Fang Bai nodded, “If I hadn’t rescued you, you might very well be dead.”
The woman’s eyes lit up, a flicker of life returning, “So you’re saying…
I’m not dead?”
Fang Bai replied, “That’s right, you’re still alive.
If you don’t believe , you can pinch yourself to see if it hurts.”
True to his word, the woman pinched herself, and though she winced from the pain, a slight smile appeared on her lips as she spoke to herself, “I’m really not dead…
I can’t die, there are so many things I haven’t finished doing…”
