When the lights in the room went out, Netherworld Scholar had been on alert. Seeing two shadows rushing toward the window, a cold smile flashed across his lips as he leaped toward the window.
However, when he reached the window, he was shocked to discover there was nobody there. The two shadows had seemingly disappeared into thin air, leaving the place completely empty. Instead, because of his vigorous leap and the absence of anyone in front, he nearly flew out the window himself.
Fortunately, he managed to stop in ti. Hurriedly turning his head, he noticed that two shadows had already run out through the door.
"Where do you think you're going!" Netherworld Scholar roared, rushing toward the doorway to chase them.
At that mont, Mad Dog and a few others were coming over. Seeing Netherworld Scholar covered in blood and running out, they were greatly surprised and shouted, "Hey, what's happening?"
Netherworld Scholar completely ignored him, sprinting towards the staircase. Mad Dog tried to grab him but was knocked down with a punch, and the others were no match to stop him either.
Reaching the staircase, there was not a soul in sight. Netherworld Scholar was even more astonished. After a mont of silence, he imdiately ran back to the office and turned on the light at the door.
The office was empty except for Old Wang Ba, who was still standing there looking puzzled, unaware of what had happened. Netherworld Scholar furrowed his brow, pondering in the office for a mont, then suddenly turned and ran to the window, jumping out from there.
He was well aware that the tricks of Netherworld Taoist were formidable, blurring the lines between illusion and reality, making it hard to distinguish. Therefore, he simply picked a location to pursue, perhaps he could still catch up with the two.
Old Wang Ba rushed to the window to look, only to see Netherworld Scholar already far away, looking around haphazardly, evidently also without any clear target.
Seeing Netherworld Scholar vanish into the distance, Old Wang Ba then turned around and said, "Alright, he's gone, co out!"
With a puff sound, the wall next to them suddenly shook, and from behind the wall erged Netherworld Taoist and Ye Qing. Just then, Mad Dog ran in from the doorway, his eyes widening in astonishnt, unable to understand how there could be people hiding behind the wall.
Fortuitously, at that mont, Netherworld Taoist turned around and pulled down the piece of the wall, which turned out to be a curtain that looked just like the wall. Hung there, it had a deceivingly real effect. If he hadn't pulled the curtain away, even people standing right next to it wouldn't have realized it was just a curtain.
At the mont the lights went out, Netherworld Taoist swiftly hung the curtain and hid Ye Qing behind it. Then, using four fake shadows, they confusingly led Netherworld Scholar in the wrong direction. Netherworld Scholar, being rather urgent, assud Netherworld Taoist wouldn't dare to hide Ye Qing in this room, so he didn't inspect carefully and directly ran out chasing, thus allowing Ye Qing to escape this danger.
Netherworld Taoist said gravely, "Netherworld Scholar's reckless manner leaves no room for retreat. We must hurry and take Ye Qing to the tea house to have Cui Panguan settle this matter, otherwise it will always be a calamity looming over us!"
Old Wang Ba nodded his head, and together with Netherworld Taoist, they supported Ye Qing downstairs. Mad Dog followed behind, driving the three directly to the tea house.
However, just as their car exited the parking lot, soone abruptly blocked their vehicle in front, it was Netherworld Scholar.
"Humph, did you really think those little tricks could deceive ?" Netherworld Scholar sneered, "I knew you wouldn't just run off like that, so I've been waiting right here at the parking lot exit. You won't escape. Netherworld Taoist, Old Wang Ba, you two actually dare to ddle in my affairs. After I kill this kid, I'll settle the score with you two!"
Mad Dog clenched his teeth and without another word, stepped on the accelerator and sped towards Netherworld Scholar.
"Damn it, don't play like this!" Old Wang Ba exclaid in urgency, "This won't work!"
As he spoke, the vehicle was already charging towards Netherworld Scholar. Netherworld Scholar, with swift movents, sidestepped and grabbed the car body, leaping onto the roof.
Mad Dog imdiately turned the vehicle around, steering the wheel back and forth, attempting to shake Netherworld Scholar off. But Netherworld Scholar seed as though he was glued to the roof, unable to be thrown off.
With a sneer, Netherworld Scholar pulled out his folding fan, forcefully smashing the sunroof. He reached inside, grabbing straight for Ye Qing.
Netherworld Taoist stretched out his hand to block, but was sent reeling back by a palm strike from Netherworld Scholar. Old Wang Ba had no fighting power either, and just as he was about to capture Ye Qing, a car suddenly charged at high speed and slamd into their car.
Even though Netherworld Scholar was powerful, such a violent shake destabilized him, and he was thrown off from the top of the car.
The people inside the car were also shaken up, and Mad Dog was sowhat dazed, utterly confused about what had happened. At that mont, a stunningly beautiful face appeared from the car that had crashed into them, and a cold voice said, "Drive, go!"
Mad Dog had never seen such a gorgeous woman before, and at the sight of her face, he shivered involuntarily. Her words sounded like a command he couldn't think to disobey, so he imdiately stepped on the gas pedal and drove away.
The car didn't leave however, the door opened, and a stunningly beautiful woman stepped out—it was East State Poisonous Praying Mantis, Huangfu Ziyu.
Since parting ways with Ye Qing, Huangfu Ziyu had actually stayed in Shenchuan City and had not left. The battle between Sha n and the Shen Family was sothing she had been waiting for a long ti, so she stayed to wait for the right mont.
She hadn't wanted to et Ye Qing, but nevertheless, she had sent people to keep an eye on him. She knew about the noon encounter between Ye Qing and Netherworld Scholar, and she was quite worried about Ye Qing's situation. By evening, she could no longer hold back and rushed over to see how Ye Qing was. To her surprise, she arrived just in ti to rescue him!
Netherworld Scholar got up from the ground, wiped the blood from his face, and saw Mad Dog driving far away. His expression turned icy cold, and as he sharply turned his head and was about to explode in anger, he was completely stunned.
There stood Huangfu Ziyu not far in front of him, her stunning beauty like a flash of lightning, instantly illuminating the dark street. Her proud posture seed as if the whole world lay beneath her feet. This woman's beauty was breathtaking, and her pride was equally suffocating!
