"Two seniors?"
Lin Mo stepped forward, cupped his hands, and said politely.
Suddenly encountering two people in this palace, Lin Mo couldn’t figure out their identity, but being courteous at this mont seed like the right choice.
However, the two old n didn’t even glance at him, as if unaware that another person had entered the palace. Their eyes were fixed on the statue in front of them, staring wide-eyed, occasionally shaking their heads lightly, and sighing softly.
Lin Mo curiously looked at the two, neither of whom paid him any attention. At least they didn’t imdiately attack him, which made Lin Mo a bit less worried, and instead, he turned his gaze to the dozen or so statues placed around the palace.
There were thirteen statues in total, each depicting a terrifying beast, carved vividly and lifelike. Each statue emitted a suppressive power, as if it were a living beast.
"Are these statues emitting the suppression that only World-level experts possess?" Lin Mo’s eyes widened.
The thirteen statues of beasts seed to all be World-level beasts. But simply the carved statues possessing such suppression was the most shocking part. The carved statues had the suppression of World-level beasts. Whoever crafted these statues must be an exceptionally talented individual.
"Shi’er, I think the aning within this statue is like this..." Suddenly, the white-haired old man spoke but still didn’t look at Lin Mo, instead looking at the black-haired old man.
As he spoke, the white-haired old man’s hand gathered purple light points, and then he drew an extrely mysterious pattern in the void. The pattern seed to attract one’s soul, and when Lin Mo glanced at it, he felt his soul almost sink into it. He quickly focused and regained consciousness.
"Sigh, wrong, wrong. Shisan, it should be like this." The black-haired old man shook his head, then his hand also gathered purple light, drawing a weird and enigmatic pattern in the void, "This is the correct way."
"Wrong, wrong, yours is also wrong." The white-haired old man frowned and shook his head.
"Then yours is wrong too. What I see is this, there’s no mistake." The black-haired old man blew his beard and glared.
"Wrong, wrong, you’re also wrong." The white-haired old man jumped and said.
Lin Mo stood by, confused about what the two were arguing, but judging by the patterns they drew in the void earlier, their powers were unfathomable.
Since these two old n ignored him, Lin Mo couldn’t be bothered with them anymore and instead walked up to a statue, stopped, and focused his gaze on it.
This statue was of a four-legged crawling beast, its face ferocious, with two horns on its head. Its pair of black eyes, polished from so kind of Crystal Stone, seed to possess a mysterious power. As Lin Mo looked at it, it looked back at Lin Mo.
At this mont, the Black Snake Totem on Lin Mo’s back began to beco active, as if waking up. From the center of the Black Snake Totem, purple lines began to spread, extending from the back to the waist, winding around the arms, and climbing up to his cheeks.
Strange purple runes spread across his body!
A trace of purple light flashed deep within Lin Mo’s pupils, and he stared at the statue before him, his spirit instantly entering the statue.
In the starry void, a four-limbed crawling beast appeared deep within the void, flying towards Lin Mo. Its imnse body was like a majestic mountain, with two black horns on its head like steep peaks. Its pair of black eyes were like black holes; just one glance seed to draw in one’s spiritual power.
"The 1,208,732nd challenger!"
The Void Beast emitted a dull voice that spread like thunder in the void.
"You, are you talking to ?" Lin Mo was surprised.
More than a hundred thousand people had co to this palace before him?
"Challenger, don’t be surprised. This palace has existed for tens of millions of years, and tens of thousands of challengers have entered here. It’s normal." The Void Beast said.
"Tens of millions of years?" Lin Mo was taken aback, realizing that even his entire life added together was barely a fraction compared to the age of this palace.
The Void Beast said, "Let the challenge begin. Succeed, and you will receive the inheritance left here."
"I’m challenging you?" Lin Mo frowned his Sword Eyebrows. This Void Beast was at least a World-level beast; even a toe could crush him.
The Void Beast said, "Rest assured, I am not a true beast now but composed of Netherworld Power. You just need your perception of Netherworld Power to exceed mine to succeed in the challenge."
"Netherworld Power Perception?" Lin Mo murmured, "Simply put, isn’t it just a talent for sensing Netherworld Power?"
"Let try." Lin Mo took a deep breath, extended his index finger, and suddenly a purple line burst forth from his fingertip. Compared to the Void Beast’s body, it was not even a strand of hair.
The Void Beast’s voice was thick: "Kid, challenges aren’t easy; many fail. But that’s okay, don’t be discouraged. As long as you persist, you’ll eventually gain sothing."
Just as the Void Beast finished speaking, the strand-like purple line had already burst over, hitting one of its toes. Over the years, tens of thousands of challengers had entered the palace, so quite gifted, especially in Netherworld Power perception, but everyone had always failed on their first challenge.
"You can prepare for another challenge; everyone has three chances." The Void Beast said, suddenly its voice halted. Its massive body, like a mountain range, appeared with cracks that emitted dazzling purple light, "No, impossible!"
Then, the cracks on the Void Beast’s body began to spread rapidly, covering its entire body. Its body erupted with purple beams, and finally, it exploded, turning into countless fragnts.
"What’s going on?" Lin Mo wondered.
Monts later, the previously shattered Void Giant Beast reford.
"Kid, I didn’t expect you to have such a high talent for Netherworld Power sensing!" The Void Beast’s voice had a trace of tremor.
"What I just released was my Netherworld Power talent?" Lin Mo asked.
The Void Beast said, "You must be hiding so secret; humans can’t have such a high sensing talent for Netherworld Power."
"Could it be the Black Snake Totem?" Lin Mo wondered, but he wouldn’t easily reveal this secret. It might be significant, and exposing it now would certainly not be beneficial.
