"They're both elite doctors experienced in both traditional Chinese and Western dicine, but after examining Liao Zhiping earlier, they found his condition quite troubleso; now a re youngster is claiming it's a trivial matter. Isn't that a slap in their faces?"
The others were stunned too.
Given Lin Mo's age, even if he was a disciple of so renowned doctor, he shouldn't talk like that. It was too arrogant!
dical skill isn't like other things; it requires not only learning but also the accumulation of ti and experience.
"Young man, aren't you talking too big? Even Doctor Gu and I find this case challenging, yet you call it a minor issue? That's not how you brag."
"Mr. Liao's illness is indeed troubleso, sothing I've never heard or seen before. Young man, you speak quite boldly."
Doctor Wu and Doctor Gu, both widely recognized as pillars in Chinese and Western dicine, couldn't hide their stiff and indignant expressions upon being belittled.
"I think what the third miss has brought back is not so famous doctor, but a drama student, eh? Bragging without even blinking an eye," Liao Jun mocked.
Liao Ke had a displeased look on her pretty face; after all, she had made a hasty remark earlier and now had to hope for the best, relying on a dead horse as though it were still alive. She could only hope that Lin Mo truly had "real skills."
Of all the people present, only Li Yunfei wore a confident smile on her face. She had personally witnessed Lin Mo's 'immortal' techniques. If he couldn't do it, then who else could save her grandfather?
Liao Changjing, Liao Changwei, and others snorted coldly, eager to see how Lin Mo would pretend and then witness how humiliated the third branch of the family would be.
After all, Liao Ke's engagent with the Shan family's eldest son had left the eldest and second brothers quite displeased, cursing themselves for not having a beautiful daughter to marry off.
Lin Mo remained indifferent, paying no attention to their comnts. He walked to the bedside, observed for a mont, and then furrowed his brows, "This isn't illness; he has been poisoned."
Upon hearing Lin Mo's words, both Doctor Wu and Doctor Gu's expressions changed simultaneously.
They had also examined Liao Zhiping earlier, discovering that he seed poisoned rather than ill; yet no matter how they checked, they couldn't identify the poison and therefore couldn't treat him accordingly.
However, Lin Mo had rely one glance and knew Liao Zhiping was poisoned, clearly flaunting genuine expertise.
"Poisoned? How could Mr. Liao be poisoned? All his food is checked, there's no chance he was poisoned," Liao Changwei said dismissively.
"Mr. Liao, please do not interrupt," Doctor Wu suddenly glared at Liao Changwei.
Liao Changwei's mouth fell open, as if he couldn't swallow an egg – what was going on?
The others were also taken aback; why would Doctor Wu suddenly speak in Lin Mo's favor?
"Putting on an act," Liao Changjing scoffed.
"Mr. Liao, keep quiet," Doctor Gu suddenly said.
In that instant, everyone was stunned.
Just now, Lin Mo had made outrageous claims that even offended the two renowned doctors; but in a blink of an eye, both were speaking up for him.
Liao Ke was incredulous as well; could Lin Mo actually be a master?
Lin Mo took one look and spotted sothing amiss in Liao Zhiping's body then turned to Doctor Wu, "Give a silver needle."
Doctor Wu was montarily stunned, then handed over a silver needle to Lin Mo, although a look of skepticism crossed his face.
Acupuncture is a technique of Chinese dicine, but today, very few can use it effectively; apart from dical authorities like Hu Beipeng and Elder Wei, there are hardly any left who can wield silver needles, especially soone as young as Lin Mo – could he also perform acupuncture?
Lin Mo inserted the silver needle into Liao Zhiping's head, but this was just for show; he secretly used magic to extract the 'Blood Gu' from within Liao Zhiping's body.
The poison in Liao Zhiping was no ordinary toxin but a Poisonous Insect Poison, a particularly heinous kind of Blood Gu that would slowly devour Liao Zhiping's essence blood, eventually turning him into a lifeless husk.
Everyone held their breath, then saw the silver needle gradually turn red from the tip as it drew the Blood Gu from Liao Zhiping's body.
"Alright, let the old man rest for a while, and he will awaken soon," Lin Mo turned his head and said to Li Yunfei and Liao Ke.
A group of people was stunned.
Absolute silence!
The Liao Family had sought renowned doctors far and wide, all to no avail.
Lin Mo stepped in, and had he cured him in less than a minute?
Liao Ke's face flushed with color; she had been suspicious of Lin Mo all along the way. Witnessing this scene, she suddenly rembered the incident at the restaurant. She feared that Lin Mo had seen through her act long ago, that his touch had been intentional. Although he hadn't made contact, the thought of that mont made Liao Ke feel her lovely face burn with heat.
"Lin Mo, is my grandfather truly well?" Liao Ke was still in a state of confusion.
"I said, he just needs to rest a bit, and he will awaken," Lin Mo said indifferently.
The Liao Family was clearly skeptical. Could a single needle truly be the cure?
Liao Changwei said, "Doctor Wu, what is this?"
Doctor Wu, however, seed not to hear him, his eyes wide. Suddenly, he bent forward with a respectful bow and said, "Master Lin, may I ask if your acupuncture skills were learned from Mr. Hu Beipeng?"
"Hu Beipeng? I taught him the art of acupuncture," Lin Mo said nonchalantly.
Hearing Lin Mo's words, Doctor Wu was shocked yet again.
Hu Beipeng was already a master of traditional dicine, and his fa had surged in recent years. Accompanying him was a young lady, adept in acupuncture, whom Doctor Wu had personally seen at a seminar with Hu Beipeng and the beautiful doctor.
At that ti, he seed to recall Hu Beipeng ntioning a young man with the surna Lin, who was his master.
Could it be the one before him?
"So you are Divine Doctor Lin, I have been blind to your stature," Doctor Wu bent even lower, speaking in a highly respectful manner.
The Liao Family was shocked once more. Everyone was clear about Hu Beipeng's status, and Lin Mo was his master?
Liao Ke's mouth agape, she found it unbelievable. Her cousin had casually invited a young man with such a distinguished identity!
"He's so young?" Liao Jun clenched his fists, sowhat in disbelief.
"Shut up, you useless thing," Liao Changwei reprimanded without any curiosity.
"Alright, my work here is done, it's ti for to leave."
Lin Mo had no intention of staying any longer.
"Mr. Lin, please wait. When the old man wakes up, he can personally thank Mr. Lin. It won't be too late," the white-haired old butler suddenly spoke up.
Clearly still skeptical of him, they would only believe once Liao Zhiping awakened, to know if he was truly the one who had saved him.
Lin Mo furrowed his brows, hesitated for a mont, but he wasn't in a rush for those few hours, so he nodded in agreent.
Three hours later, Liao Zhiping finally awakened, and the Liao Family sighed in relief simultaneously.
Liao Changhai and Li Huiyun were overjoyed; this ti, it was Liao Ke and Li Yunfei's rit!
Although Liao Changwei, Liao Changjing, and others were sowhat disappointed—it wasn't soone they had invited who had cured the old man—the old man had woken up, and that ant hope for the Liao Family.
However, after asking the butler upon awakening, only Liao Ke, Li Yunfei, and a few others were allowed into the room.
(The wonderful story continues tomorrow.)
