In Ji Yu’s understanding, Su Chen was a holess wanderer in the void—a pitiable soul. To so extent, it was out of kindness and sympathy that she had brought Su Chen back, intending to place him in the Cloud Sword Sect.
“He’s not a martial cultivator of Ningtian Continent?” The Cloud Sword Sect Sect Master overheard the conversation between Ji Yu and Chen Xingwen and interjected, his eyes flickering with uncertainty as he pondered sothing.
“He isn’t,” Ji Yu nodded. “Sect Master, if possible, could he be allowed to join the Cloud Sword Sect?”
“We’ll see about that.” The Cloud Sword Sect Sect Master did not give a direct answer.

“You’re not?” Du Chi’s eyes lit up. “Then, Brother Su, which force do you belong to?”

“What?” That response stirred Du Chi, even excited him. “How about joining my Thousand Demon Sect!!! Anything but the Sect Master position—you can choose whatever role you want!”
Du Chi wasn’t joking; this was his genuine thought.
A being capable of defeating him—at only twenty-four years old—how heaven-defying could his talent for martial cultivation be?
