"A little higher, and a bit gentler." Su Chen spoke occasionally, guiding Tailing Nishang in her massage.

Ti passed.

It was unclear how long had gone by.

Suddenly.

Su Chen’s squinted eyes suddenly opened.

At the sa ti.

"Screech..." A slightly piercing sound echoed.

You could vaguely feel the Nine-Legged Beast coming to an abrupt stop.

In the sa second.

"Young Master Su, Miss Tailing, soone has stopped us," said the man riding the Nine-Legged Beast.

The carriage made of Ancient Tong Wood opened.

Tailing Nishang also paused the massage.

Both looked outside.

Here was a desolate jungle, overshadowed with a humid, sultry atmosphere. Various unknown herbs grew on the ground—who knows whether they were poisonous or not—with vibrant colors. Around them were massive trees, ashen gray, with thick, smooth bark, each trunk wide enough to require ten people to encircle, soaring a thousand ters high with perfectly straight trunks.

The jungle was sowhat quiet, with only the eerie calls of insects sounding intermittently in the ears.

It was already midnight, and the sky was pitch black, with no moon or stars visible.

However, for martial cultivators, especially at the level of Su Chen and Tailing Nishang, there was no difference between day and night.

Su Chen and Tailing Nishang looked ahead.

There, several dozen ters directly in front of the Nine-Legged Beast.

Stood a woman, holding a Butterfly Sword.

Clearly, she was severely injured.

Dressed in a white gauze long dress, already stained red. Her shoulders, back, midriff, arms, even her neck bore glaring sword and knife scars, wounds of blood.

The woman was veiled, yet the veil was so thin you could see her face clearly. Her complexion was deathly pale, looking very fatigued. She slightly bit her lip, with a look of determined will to survive between her eyebrows.

Her features were precise and exquisite, especially her nose, straight and fair.

Not the kind of seductive beauty, rather carrying a trace of clean, clear, heroic beauty.

However, due to severe injury, she currently appeared very weak, and without makeup, there was also a sense of aloofness and detachnt.

One hand propped up the Butterfly Sword while the other was clearly broken. She raised her head, as she saw Su Chen and Tailing Nishang opening the carriage door, she quickly said, "Greetings Young Master and Miss, are you on your way to Yanghai Domain Capital? Can... can you give a ride? I am Su Yi."

Her voice was very light, perhaps due to her weakness, with a lyrical quality, like the tinkling of a mountain forest spring.

In her beautiful eyes flashed a hint of plea and urgency.

"Co aboard." Su Chen deeply gazed at Su Yi, roughly guessing a few things in his mind. Such severe injury, she wasn’t simple. The key was her remarkable talent for martial cultivation! About the sa age as Tailing Nishang, early stage of the Ninth Level Realm, even stronger than Tailing Nishang’s talent by a hint, not simple.

Bringing her along, likely would cause trouble.

However, he still agreed.

Why?

The reason was simple, very simple, just because her surna is Su, the Su you think of.

Being from the sa family, was reason enough.

"Su Chen, you..." Tailing Nishang wanted to say sothing but didn’t speak, she wanted to say that in Traceless Heaven, such good deeds should be avoided as they might lead to endless trouble. In Traceless Heaven, doing too many such good deeds could result in a quick death, as it’s a cruel and ruthless place, not like elsewhere.

Especially Su Yi, clearly not simple, even though severely injured, she still sensed a trace of danger from her.

Such a monster, yet so severely injured, it’s clear things aren’t simple.

Bringing her along might cause great trouble.

But upon recalling that she was a maid, and Su Chen had agreed, she naturally couldn’t object.

However, in her heart, there was an inexplicable discomfort, feeling that Su Chen agreed to take Su Yi because she was very pretty.

Then she scolded herself, Su Chen noticed Su Yi’s beauty ~~~~ what does it have to do with herself?

"Thank you!" Su Chen was stunned; her beautiful eyes flashed with a hint of gratitude and relief, along with shock. Truthfully, she hadn’t held out much hope and was nearly in despair. Along the way, there were quite a few passing Nine-Legged Beast carriages. She intercepted so while fleeing, about ten in total. Unfortunately, not once was she allowed to board, which was expected. If it were her, she would also find it hard to invite such trouble, until this Nine-Legged Beast carriage, unbelievably... agreed.

The next mont.

Su Yi boarded the carriage.

"Proceed, and pick up speed. Go as fast as you can," Su Chen instructed the rider.

Aboard the carriage, Su Yi heard Su Chen’s words, her beautiful eyes flickered, realizing he already suspected soone was hunting her, yet... still chose to bring her aboard? Was he not afraid?

Furthermore, how was he at the Heavenly Dao realm?

It was very strange indeed.

The Heavenly Dao realm level was extrely rare in all of Traceless Heaven. Many martial cultivators could not reach this level even after being born.

And as the legitimate daughter of the Su Family in Yanghai Domain Capital, she had almost always lived in Yanghai Domain Capital, and had never seen soone of the Heavenly Dao level before.

"Do you need any healing elixirs?" Su Chen asked, though he didn’t offer Su Yi any chaotic current or blood treatnt. Although it would help instantly, having no personal ties, just bringing her along was enough. Why would he be that kind of saint?

"No need, I have my own," Su Yi shook her head. "Thank you."

She thanked him once more.

"It’s nothing. Do heal yourself. Nishang, continue." Su Chen said, taking up his teacup, sipping tea.

Tailing Nishang felt a bit resentful, even with another person around, you still let continue the massage.

She bit her lip slightly, more embarrassed and annoyed but could only lower her head, kneel behind Su Chen, and use her fair hands to knead his shoulders.

Su Yi saw this, a shock in her heart.

An eighth layer Divine Realm peerless beauty, massaging... a young man of the Heavenly Dao realm? Like a maid?

This...

She couldn’t understand it at all.

Of course, she wasn’t the type to talk much, forcefully suppressing her curiosity and shock, and began to heal.

Then, the carriage fell silent.

In truth, Su Yi initially thought Su Chen agreed to take her along because of her looks, even at great risk, especially when Su Chen allowed Tailing Nishang to massage him afterward.

It confird her belief that Su Chen was a man of ~~~~.

However, as ti passed.

In the next few hours.

Su Yi had mostly healed and had kept an eye on Su Chen, soon noticed.

From the ti she boarded, Su Chen barely looked at her.

Nor did he engage in conversation.

Moreover, she could feel Su Chen wasn’t pretending.

aning, he wasn’t interested in her looks, hence willing to take her along.

Truly a mysterious person.
