Early the next morning, Lu Yu slowly awakened from his sleep. As he sat up on the bed and stretched lazily, just about to get up, he suddenly heard the sound of his door unlocking. Imdiately, ng Yue's familiar voice rang out: "Lu Yu, ti to get up!"
As soon as the voice was heard, Lu Yu's door suddenly swung open, and ng Yue, dressed in quite holy clothes, walked right in. Her beautiful face paired with the casual outfit suddenly gave off a graceful and charming vibe.
Looking at ng Yue now, it was hard to see any trace of the fierce female police captain she used to be. Instead, there was a cool and distant aura about her, making it difficult to take one's eyes off her.
"Miss, I understand your urgent desire to take a day off and go shopping, but couldn't you wait until I put so clothes on?" Lu Yu said helplessly to ng Yue standing in front of him, then shrugged his shoulders, indicating his exasperation.
Upon hearing Lu Yu's words, ng Yue's pretty face reddened, and she imdiately retreated, embarrassed.
Due to her fiery personality, she had already t Lu Yu's friends twice on her own terms, and now she didn't want to et them a third ti.
Watching ng Yue withdraw slowly, Lu Yu smiled helplessly, and then dressed leisurely. After a quick wash and breakfast, he headed downstairs with ng Yue and drove directly towards Nanjing Road in LA City.

LA City's Nanjing Road was undoubtedly the largest pedestrian street in LA City, filled with all sorts of brand-na stores. After Lu Yu and ng Yue arrived and parked the car, they gradually strolled along the street.
Though it was still morning, given the bustling nature of LA City, the pedestrian street was already thronging with people. Several shops were already open for business, contributing to the lively atmosphere.
Perhaps due to the typically busy work routine at the police station, ng Yue and Lu Yu were especially lively while walking the street, stopping to check out various quirky shops. They were like playful children, clearly enjoying themselves.
Seeing this, Lu Yu also felt incredibly relaxed. It had been years since he last visited Nanjing Road, yet everything remained unchanged from five years ago, inevitably evoking waves of nostalgia.
"Well, isn't this Captain ng? I didn't realize you had a day off today too?"
Just as Lu Yu and ng Yue were shopping, a woman's voice suddenly appeared. Though soft and delicate, it carried a hint of derision.
Upon hearing the voice, Lu Yu and ng Yue turned around simultaneously to find a tall girl with long black hair in a Bohemian dress standing behind them. Beside her was a man dressed in a suit, radiating an air of success.
"Liu Xianan, what are you doing here?" ng Yue frowned slightly upon seeing the girl, evidently not thrilled about the encounter with Liu Xianan, and replied coolly.
"What a coincidence, I'm off today too. It so happened my boyfriend just bought a BMW recently, and we ca out for a drive." Liu Xianan remarked boastfully.
"Your friend?"
Hearing Liu Xianan's words, Lu Yu frowned slightly and then asked.
"No, she's new at the forensics division, doesn't know squat, got into the police departnt through connections. Thanks to her, we've lost plenty of valuable evidence." ng Yue responded upon hearing Lu Yu's query.
"Oh, who is this?" Liu Xianan glanced contemptuously at Lu Yu, eyeing him from head to toe before saying disdainfully, "Sir, how should I address you, where do you work?"
"Oh, hello, I'm Lu Yu, working at the security departnt of Victory Group…"
Lu Yu was responding to Liu Xianan when she abruptly cut him off.
"Pfft, just a lousy security guard, huh? Captain ng, you're not too bad looking, so why find a security guy to be your boyfriend? Isn't that embarrassing?"
Liu Xianan rolled her eyes at ng Yue before speaking.
Hearing this, Lu Yu's brow furrowed slightly, his face showing a hint of displeasure. He loathed such obnoxious and snobbish won!
"What's wrong with security…" ng Yue just opened her mouth to speak but was stopped by Lu Yu.
"We're all educated people, no need to get upset, let handle it."
Lu Yu smiled subtly at ng Yue, then stepped forward to speak to the man beside Liu Xianan: "Sir, are you this lady's boyfriend?"
"Yeah, why?"
The man replied arrogantly, not bothering to acknowledge Lu Yu.
"Where do you work, if I may ask?" Lu Yu continued to smile, speaking calmly and confidently.
"I'm the general manager of Starlight dia. Do you have any advice?" The man responded boastfully.
"Advice? Certainly not. I was just thinking it's a sha that such a promising young man, successful at such a young age, might suddenly be wearing a green hat* because of his girlfriend." Lu Yu chuckled lightly, his words full of humor.
Whoa!
Upon hearing Lu Yu's words, the man instantly grew furious. He stepped forward, grabbed Lu Yu's collar, and shouted: "What the hell did you say? Repeat it!"
"I said!"
Lu Yu smiled slightly, then announced loudly, "It's unfortunate that you're so young and yet your girlfriend has already given you a green hat!"
As soon as these words ca out, the sound spread like water, catching the ears of passersby, stopping them in their tracks to look over.
"You brat, you're looking for trouble!"
The man was ready to make a move, but Lu Yu's voice ca again: "You didn't spend last night with your girlfriend, right? You look slightly pale today, clearly because of overti last night. In contrast, your girlfriend looks radiant, obviously having been nurtured by so indescribable fluids. Are you sure you want to hit without hearing the truth?"
*Note: "Wearing a green hat" in Chinese culture implies infidelity, typically that one's partner is cheating.
