"If that's the case, do you know why they kidnapped you?" ng Yue asked again, her curiosity piqued.
"I have even less of a clue about that," Lu Yu said imdiately upon hearing ng Yue's words, "I an, I just got back from being shipwrecked on a deserted island, first got mistaken for a pervert, then during my first day back at work, I got kidnapped, and now, as a victim, I'm being interrogated. I'm full of grievances myself!"
Listening to Lu Yu, ng Yue couldn't help but nod.
They had already investigated and verified Lu Yu's identity, discovering that he had indeed been missing for five years and only returned to LA City yesterday, after an unplanned 'full-disclosure' with ng Yue.
Contemplating, ng Yue glanced at Lu Yu's slightly frail figure, eliminating her last remaining doubts.
Judging by the evidence collected, including a broken pair of handcuffs and one of the thugs' massive abdominal injuries, everything pointed to Lu Yu being just a simple victim.
After all, in ng Yue's view, Lu Yu's 'frail' appearance didn't seem capable of inflicting internal injuries on a strong thug nor breaking handcuffs made of reinforced steel.
With that in mind, ng Yue placed the recorded statent in front of Lu Yu and said, "Alright, the questioning is over. If you have no objections, just sign here, and you can leave."
"No problem, I'll definitely drop by to express my thanks this ti..."
