Chapter 1002: Chapter 1021: The Curtain Falls

Kingdom of Aolai, Ming Prince’s Manor!

Three years later, Lin Feiyun had beco the illustrious Ming Prince, enjoying untold riches and honor in the human world, with a beautiful woman by his side.

“Reporting to the Prince, there is soone outside asking to see you,” the manor steward, bowing, reported to Lin Feiyun.

“No, I won’t see them.”

Lin Feiyun, flirting with a beautiful woman, replied dismissively.

Evidently, in Lin Feiyun’s view, it must be so official wishing to see him, no doubt for personal gain, and he had no ti for these mundane people.

“My Prince, he claims to be an old acquaintance, insisting on seeing you,” the steward replied.

“Oh?”

Lin Feiyun was slightly taken aback, “An old acquaintance? What’s his na?”

“Li Youyun!” the steward hurriedly replied.

“Li Youyun?”

Lin Feiyun murmured to himself, then suddenly seed shocked, his expression instantly growing somber.

“Feiyun, have you forgotten so soon?”

Step—step—step.

A series of footsteps approached, and Li Youyun appeared before Lin Feiyun in the blink of an eye.

“You… you are?”

Lin Feiyun abruptly stood up, staring fixedly at Li Youyun’s face, appearing sowhat stunned.

“Li Youyun?”

“How… how is this possible?”

Lin Feiyun was shocked, hardly believing his eyes. He rembered clearly that three years ago, he had broken Li Youyun’s legs and disfigured him.

But now, standing before him, Li Youyun had not only recovered his appearance, but the legs that had been broken were perfectly intact.

“You… you…?” Lin Feiyun was stricken with shock and speechless, a chill running up his spine, causing him to back away slowly.

“Feiyun, how quickly you’ve forgotten; don’t you recognize your old friend?”

Li Youyun’s face was as cold as water, staring icily at Lin Feiyun, as mories of the past three years flashed painfully through his mind.

Three years of struggling on the brink of death, three years of human suffering, living like a dog.

All of this was caused by Lin Feiyun. Until today, three years later, he had finally mastered the first level of that mysterious Cultivation Technique, erging like a butterfly from its cocoon, reborn anew.

“Soone, anyone!”

Lin Feiyun called out in panic, his forehead covered in cold sweat, sensing the murderous intent emanating from Li Youyun’s presence.

Step step step.

The sound of nurous footsteps approached, revealing nurous guards erging from all directions to encircle Li Youyun.

“Kill him for .”

The arrival of the guards brought Lin Feiyun so relief, his face ferocious as he issued the command; however, the ensuing scene left Lin Feiyun utterly shocked.

“Scram.”

Without any visible movent, Li Youyun extended a palm, and a sky full of red haze spread out, reducing the guards to ashes as they disappeared.

“You… you…!”

The scene made Lin Feiyun’s scalp tingle, as he staggered backward in fear, while Li Youyun steadily approached him.

“No… don’t kill …”

Lin Feiyun pleaded in terror, falling to his knees before Li Youyun with a thud.

“Youyun, I was wrong, I was really wrong; please, on account of your greatness, spare .” Lin Feiyun kowtowed continuously to Li Youyun, tearfully begging, all forr arrogance wiped away.

Watching Lin Feiyun kneel at his feet, Li Youyun’s face was cold and indifferent, “Lin Feiyun, you despicable bastard, did you ever think you’d see this day?”

“Youyun, I was wrong, I was really wrong; spare , spare .” Lin Feiyun, snot and tears streaming down, cried out, desperately kowtowing to Li Youyun.

“You vile scoundrel, you have no right to speak my na.” Li Youyun’s eyes were filled with murderous intent, his hand slowly lifting, ready to strike Lin Feiyun down at any mont.

“Youyun!”

Suddenly, in this critical mont, a dazed voice called out from behind Li Youyun, causing him to pause and slowly turn around.

“Li Xianxian?”

Seeing the newcor, Li Youyun’s expression was complex as the person before him was Li Xianxian, his once-close friend from three years ago.

Three years later, however, Li Xianxian had beco Lin Feiyun’s wife, transford from a maiden into a mature woman, losing so youthful innocence but gaining an aura of elegance and nobility.

“Xianxian, save , save !”

Lin Feiyun, like a desperate dog, cried out to Li Xianxian for rescue.

“You beast!”

Li Xianxian, eyes filled with tears, approached and slapped Lin Feiyun hard, causing him to stagger back.

“Youyun, I have wronged you.”

Li Xianxian dropped to her knees before Li Youyun, continuously kowtowing, her face filled with guilt.

“Xianxian, rise, I don’t bla you.” Li Youyun sighed deeply, reaching out to help her up, knowing she too was a victim.

“Xianxian, kill him.”

Suddenly, Lin Feiyun’s cries ceased; his expression turned sinister and ruthless, shouting viciously.

Swish!

A flash of cold light swept past, as a muffled groan ca from Li Youyun. He stared blankly at Li Xianxian, as if he no longer knew her since she had just plunged a dagger into his chest!

“Why? Why is this?” Li Youyun mumbled, as trickles of blood flowed from his chest.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry!”

Li Xianxian held the blade embedded in Li Youyun’s chest, tears welling as she looked at him, filled with grief.

“Youyun, I’m sorry. Though Lin Feiyun has committed countless wrongs, he is my husband and the father of my child. I cannot watch him die by your hand.”

Li Xianxian cried out, clutching the blade tightly, stirring it in Li Youyun’s chest, a hint of madness in her eyes.

“Ha ha.”

Suddenly, Lin Feiyun rose from the ground, laughing arrogantly, “Li Youyun, you worthless wretch, you’ll always be a wretch. You want to kill ? Co on, co kill .”

“Li Xianxian, from this day forth, we sever all ties.”

Suddenly Li Youyun roared angrily, striking Li Xianxian, sending her flying. He then withdrew the dagger from his chest, crushing it into iron powder, and his wound healed before the eyes of those present.

“How…how is this possible…?”

The scene left Lin Feiyun frozen, cold sweat drenching his body, a palpable terror gripping his soul.

“Youyun, I…”

Li Xianxian smiled bitterly, realizing her effort to be ruthless failed to kill Li Youyun.

“Lin Feiyun, die!”

Li Youyun could no longer suppress his boundless rage, striking toward Lin Feiyun with a palm. The radiant red glow appeared to fall like heaven’s might.

“No!”

Lin Feiyun scread in terror, but then, a figure suddenly shielded him, halting Li Youyun’s fatal strike.

Thud!

Li Xianxian was struck, spewing blood, her chest collapsing as she fell away.

“Xianxian?”

Lin Feiyun watched the scene, collapsing weakly to the ground.

“Why…why?”

Li Youyun murmured, staring at Li Xianxian’s broken body, unable to comprehend why she risked everything to protect Lin Feiyun.

“He… he has done so many evil deeds… but for these three years, he took care of and our child… never wronged us… he’s my husband after all… Xianxian… can’t bear to watch him die…”

Li Xianxian coughed blood, a resigned smile on her face, finally succumbing before Li Youyun.
