Chapter 412: Chapter 411 Major Suspicion

All the police officers present, upon hearing that it was Wang Yan who caught Su Yu Kuang, couldn’t help but show admiration in their eyes.

Su Yu Kuang was the number one villain in Wanghai, and for more than a decade, no one could catch him. He had beco a symbol of evil in Wanghai City, and a nightmare in the heart of every officer.

Yet, this figure that caused the officers so many headaches was captured by Wang Yan. The officers couldn’t help but gather around, surrounding Wang Yan in the middle.

“Wang Yan, can I get your autograph?”

“Wang Yan, can I take a photo with you? You are truly my idol.”

“I want to eat whatever you eat.”

Seeing the officers’ admiration for Wang Yan, Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting couldn’t help but smile brightly, their eyes narrowing into crescent shapes.

Witnessing this, jealousy surged within Zhang Lin. He snorted coldly, stepped forward, and said, “Catching Su Yu Kuang is certainly due to Director Su’s contributions, and of course Wang Yan’s assistance.”

Zhang Lin deliberately attributed the credit to Su Yamo, while reducing Wang Yan’s role to re assistance.

Hearing this, Su Yamo was imdiately displeased. She said to Zhang Lin, “Capturing Su Yu Kuang was entirely Wang Yan’s achievent; it had nothing to do with .”

Zhang Lin ignored Su Yamo’s explanation and instead stared at Wang Yan, saying, “Nevertheless, Wang Yan made a big mistake today.”

Wang Yan didn’t care about Zhang Lin downplaying his accomplishnt of capturing Su Yu Kuang, but upon hearing the ntion of a big mistake, he calmly asked, “What mistake?”

Zhang Lin said, “You just ntioned that the murderer left an hour ago. If it’s indeed an hour, the murderer could now be far away, perhaps even at the Eight Great Street. I believe the murderer hasn’t gone far. Moreover, even with the black thread found earlier, it only proves that the murderer was wearing black clothes. How can you be sure it was a cloak? I’d say the suspect was wearing a black suit.”

Zhang Lin, not being a fool, imdiately pointed out the weak spot in Wang Yan’s earlier analysis where there was no supporting evidence.

Upon hearing this, Yellow Dragon and others nodded, looking at Wang Yan, waiting for his explanation.

Wang Yan smirked slightly, smiled gently, and said, “Once we capture the culprit, you’ll naturally see that I’m not wrong.”

Hearing Wang Yan unwilling to explain, Zhang Lin beca smug, “Hmph, that’s another grave mistake. If we follow your suggestion to arrest anyone wearing a black cloak, wouldn’t we end up arresting innocent people?”

At that mont, Su Yamo’s walkie-talkie suddenly crackled, “Attention all officers, another homicide has occurred in the direction of the Eight Great Street. The victim was also found hanging in the room. An eyewitness saw a man in a black cloak leave the victim’s room.”

Upon hearing this, no one marveled at another murder case. Instead, they all widened their eyes and stared at Wang Yan, as if looking at a monster.

By now, everyone felt deep admiration for Wang Yan; such accurate deductions were terrifying.

Zhang Lin’s jaw dropped, almost drooling, and he was horrified: Just how did Wang Yan calculate so precisely?

Yellow Dragon laughed heartily, saying, “Brother Wang Yan, I must trouble you to accompany to the next scene. We need you to catch this culprit.”

Wang Yan readily nodded, “Alright, let’s head out imdiately.”

Yellow Dragon and his team hurried to the Eight Great Street, heading to the second cri scene, leaving Zhang Lin standing there dumbfounded, as if in a daze.

The second cri scene was very similar to the first; the victim was also extrely poor, found hanging from the ceiling.

This ti, Yellow Dragon ordered everyone to stay outside while only Wang Yan entered the room. Yellow Dragon and others waited respectfully outside for Wang Yan’s inspection.

By this ti, Zhang Lin had also arrived. Seeing himself barred from entry, he was nearly driven mad with anger.

He, a dignified captain of the criminal investigation team, did not have the right to view the scene, but had to stand guard for Wang Yan.

Zhang Lin’s expression turned darker, eyes darting around, plotting maliciously.

After a short while, Wang Yan erged, his face solemn.

Yellow Dragon imdiately asked, “Brother Wang Yan, what did you find?”

Wang Yan said, “If my judgnt is correct, I’m afraid there are similar murder cases happening right now.”

Zhang Lin, without thinking, said, “Impossible. Unless the murderer is a fool, having committed two murders already, he would’ve fled long ago — he wouldn’t dare to kill a third person.”

Before Zhang Lin could finish speaking, Su Yamo’s walkie-talkie crackled again, “Another murder has happened, this ti in the West City. All officers, please rush to the scene imdiately.”

But at this point, no one paid attention to Zhang Lin as the shock Wang Yan gave them was too overwhelming — his foresight was like that of a modern-day Kongming.

Yellow Dragon couldn’t help but ask with a trembling voice, “Brother Wang Yan, should we go to the West City now?”

Wang Yan shook his head, “No, if my guess is correct, the man in black may have road the entire Wanghai City within half an hour, with at least seven or eight murders occurring simultaneously.”

Hearing this, even Yellow Dragon hesitated a bit.

After all, Wanghai City was vast. Even driving through it within half an hour seed impossible.

At this point, Zhang Lin finally grabbed onto Wang Yan’s weak spot, laughing loudly, “This is hilarious, Wang Yan, you’re just so full of hot air. Although you correctly guessed so matters earlier, you shouldn’t get too haughty — traveling across the entire Wanghai City in half an hour while committing seven or eight murders? Even a three-year-old knows that’s impossible.”

Before Zhang Lin could finish speaking, Su Yamo’s walkie-talkie burst into frantic sound, “A murder has occurred in East City, the murderer was seen in a black cloak. Another in South City, sa clothing. Two people are dead in North City, and traces of the murderer were found in the Central Business Street…”

The sounds from the walkie-talkie only added to the chaos, and suddenly, Wanghai City seed overrun with murderers in black cloaks everywhere.

The police officers were all shocked, turning their eyes to Wang Yan.

Though they had already admired Wang Yan greatly, by this mont they realized that their admiration was far from sufficient.

After a brief mont of shock, Yellow Dragon took a deep breath and said, “This seems like an organized cri. Brother Wang Yan, I must take my leave.”

So saying, Yellow Dragon instructed Su Yamo and others, “Su Yamo go to East City, Zhang Lin to West City, I’ll head to the Central Business Street. We must apprehend this man wearing a black cloak.”

The officers imdiately followed the orders and dispersed.

Only Zhang Lin remained beside Wang Yan, refusing to leave. After the others left, Zhang Lin suddenly said, “Wang Yan, I suspect you’re significantly implicated in these murders. Otherwise, why would you know so much in detail? Therefore, I’ve decided to arrest you!”
