The array master standing next to Chen Long was the first to make a move.

In an instant, the wild grass around Li Feng started growing frantically under the influence of the array, winding around his legs and body as if it had a life of its own.
Chen Long tapped his toes and leaped into the air, drawing a battle saber. The saber was also a magic artifact, and infused with Chen Long's True Qi, the saber's energy surged wildly.
This Sword Energy carried the sharpness of tal.
Li Feng was covered in Purple Fla, and the grasses wrapped around him instantly turned to powder. Looking up, he saw Chen Long soaring upwards.
Then ca a downward slash.
The ten-ter-long Sword Energy cut through the air, fiercely and unstoppably charging towards Li Feng.
"Be careful."
Xiao Luobing, standing from afar, could sense the power of this slash.
Li Feng didn't dodge, instead stepping directly into the Sword Energy with empty hands, grabbing it.
Chen Long was shocked.
"What realm are you exactly?"
Chen Long was at the peak of Foundation Establishnt, Great Perfection. Without so strength, he wouldn't hold the position of a captain, even though it's a lower-tier officer rank.
But even with his full-force strike, his opponent grabbed it barehanded. Could he be at Golden Core?
Li Feng looked up at the surprised Chen Long.
"What realm? I am curious as well."
As Li Feng spoke, the purple flas in his hand quickly devoured the Sword Energy, and with a squeeze, it shattered instantly.
Then, with a flick of his toes, Li Feng rushed to the landing Chen Long, unleashing all his power without a word.
Although Chen Long was startled, he was a Gate City Captain and not inexperienced. As Li Feng closed in, they began close combat.
"I'll hold him, you two go capture the won." Chen Long shouted, and his trusted subordinate turned and sprinted towards the two won.
Li Feng chuckled coldly.
Chen Long's strategy was simple, to distract Li Feng. If Li Feng ignored Xiao Luobing and Ran Yue behind him, they would be captured, putting him in a dilemma.
But can you really entangle ?
Li Feng burst forth, and though he couldn't break Chen Long's defense instantly, the Purple Fla seeped through like a small snake into Chen Long's body during their exchange.
In the blink of an eye.
Chen Long felt as if his arms were burning, rapidly losing strength.
The next second, Chen Long's movents slowed, revealing a flaw. Li Feng seized the chance, delivering a punch straight to Chen Long's face.
With a stumble, Chen Long's rhythm fell apart, and Li Feng pressed forward.
"Zhuang Shisan, why aren't you helping?"
Chen Long roared.
But Li Feng placed his hand on Chen Long's cheek, and the Purple Fla drilled into Chen Long's brain through his eyes, nose, and mouth.
The next mont.
Chen Long's voice halted abruptly, flas of eerie purple engulfing him.

Zhuang Shisan stopped, swallowing hard.
"Retreat."
At Zhuang Shisan's command, they turned and fled, but Li Feng smirked and sent a wave of Purple Fla towards the fleeing ones.
He then turned, heading towards Chen Long's subordinates who were charging at Xiao Luobing. Seeing Chen Long defeated so fast, they panicked and quickened their pace towards Xiao Luobing.
Li Feng appeared to be a step slower.
Just at this critical mont.
A Wolf Tooth Arrow tore through the air, forcing Chen Long's underling to stop and dodge.
This delay allowed Li Feng to catch up from behind, leaving Chen Long's subordinate no choice but to punch at Li Feng.
Li Feng caught the punch with ease.
The next second, the Purple Fla twined like a snake around the opponent's arm. A few monts later, a scream echoed.
Seeing the Purple Fla grow stronger, Li Feng absorbed it back into himself.
"Are you two alright?"
Zi Yan ran swiftly back.
"We're okay. What about you, are you hurt?"
"It's just a scrape, nothing serious."
Zi Yan had an evident arrow wound, the arrowhead lodged in her armor; only the shaft was broken off. Seeing people dispersing in all directions, Zi Yan was slightly surprised.
She was being chased by two archers, tricky but manageable due to her rich combat experience. To swiftly kill them, Zi Yan had traded injuries for an advantage.
The archers hadn't expected her unpredictable resolve. In such fights, if fear grips you, you're likely the one to die.
Her armor wasn't ordinary, or the outco could've been different.
"We'll talk later; we can't let them escape."
Seeing Zhuang Shisan and the others scattering, Zi Yan intended to pursue but was stopped by Li Feng.
"No need. They won't get far."
"Huh?"
Zi Yan looked at Li Feng skeptically, then a hunter a few hundred ters away suddenly scread and fell.

Screams followed one after another, as if possessed by ghosts, filled with panic. But no matter how they yelled, their fates were sealed.

Even Zhuang Shisan, who ran the farthest, couldn't escape the bone-devouring purple fla, eting a dusty demise.
Li Feng walked a circle, retracting all the Purple Flas he'd thrown. The flas fused within him, growing significantly.

Zi Yan widened her eyes. "That powerful?"
Ran Yue, nodding nearby, said, "Indeed strange. Unheard of. But this Purple Fla might be a Mutated Fire, which could explain the anomalies."
"Let's clean up and get moving."
Though it was a blessing in disguise, Li Feng had little comprehension of the Purple Fla's properties beyond its devouring nature.
In hindsight, it's daunting; the fla's initial birth nearly consud him.
After Li Feng's group left, about an hour later, two figures appeared at the ambush site.
"Find anything?"
"A fierce battle took place, but no one's around. Did the captain and others succeed?"
"If they retreated, why didn't they notify us?"
