How should I choose?
Li Feng had no idea. In the outside world, getting hold of a slightly powerful cultivation technique can make a whole family prosper.
Even the Three Sects and Six Gates of the Ancient Martial World don't have many techniques to choose from, and the top ten ancient martial families only have one core technique passed down.
Now, faced with countless techniques, Li Feng found himself unsure where to begin.
After staring blankly for a few seconds, Li Feng suddenly turned around and headed back towards the librarian. Since he didn't know how to choose, he might as well ask.
"I'd like to select a few techniques tailored for . Can you make so recomndations?"
Li Feng looked at the librarian who had Wang Jin'er's exact face. She heard his question and smiled sweetly.
"Of course I can, but my recomndations aren't free."
"How much?"
Looking at the librarian's mischievous eyes, Li Feng felt like he was falling into a trap.
The librarian stuck out one finger: "One hundred honor points."
Li Feng took a deep breath. One hundred honor points—a bit painful for him, as breaking through to the fiftieth level only earned him two hundred honor points, and even with the extra points from defeating three disciples of the Dragon Tiger Sect, he just had over three hundred and twenty points.
The librarian wanted a third of it right away.
The librarian batted her eyelashes, smiling lightly at Li Feng without urging him. Li Feng took a deep breath; one hundred honor points could be exchanged for one hundred hours of ti, equivalent to four days.
"Okay."
After a brief hesitation, Li Feng agreed.
The librarian chuckled, "Hey, at least you have so foresight. It may be a lot, but my recomndations are definitely worth it."
"First, tell what kind of techniques you're looking for."
After happily deducting one hundred honor points from Li Feng, the librarian enthusiastically asked him.
Li Feng frowned slightly, looking up at the librarian: "I haven't decided yet. I'd like to know what techniques are available here."
The librarian smiled slightly: "The Heavenly Dao Library! As the na suggests, it contains the three thousand great paths and countless techniques left by predecessors. The quantity is vast, beyond counting. Of course, those collected and displayed here have been screened and proven over countless years."
"Currently, you can only access the ninth floor. The techniques on the ninth floor are mostly Yellow Level, also known as basic skills. They may not be strong, but they're the foundation. Many powerful techniques are developed based on these."
"Be a bit more specific."
Those words were as good as not being said. Li Feng glanced at the librarian, urging her for more concise details.
The librarian smiled gently.
"As I said, there are three thousand great paths and countless techniques. I'll introduce them to you in the simplest classification."
"Firstly, cultivation's priority is Qi Refinent. Therefore, the Breathing and Exhaling Technique is fundantal, relating to the conversion and absorption of spiritual energy. What Breathing and Exhaling Technique are you using now?"
Li Feng pondered; his breathing thod was taught by his grandpa, Xiao He: "Breathing Technique!"
"I asked which Breathing Technique?"
"Just the Breathing Technique."
The librarian blinked at Li Feng: "Can you tell the essentials of your Breathing Technique?"
"Qi Absorption, Qi sinks into the dantian, the Way of Breathing, calling forth like the sea, exhaling long and deep…!"
The librarian, with the sa face as Wang Jin'er, looked utterly shocked: "You've been cultivating with such an insignificant breathing thod?"
"And you even reached the fiftieth level and accessed the Heavenly Dao Library?"
Listening to her surprise, Li Feng felt a bit embarrassed. Was his grandpa's teaching actually that bad? He thought it was quite decent—much better than what his PE teacher taught.
Once this breathing thod is practiced skillfully, it benefitted Li Feng greatly. After all, the longer your breath, the more powerful your body, with strength that lasts and doesn't falter due to poor breathing.
"What other techniques do you know? Let's hear them, so I can help you choose more appropriately."
The librarian asked.
"I also know so Sword Control Techniques, controlling the flying sword with my mind, and recently learned the Nine Rhinoceros Technique."
The librarian raised an eyebrow, with an expression that seed to say 'are you kidding ?' While the fiftieth level isn't extrely hard, it's not a breeze either. To access the Heavenly Dao Library, you'd at least need to complete Foundation Establishnt, have a decent Breathing and Exhaling Technique, and three to five sets of techniques are the norm.
This one's just peculiar.
"What else?"
"Nothing more."
Li Feng considered whether to ntion the Mutated Purple Fla when the librarian, with a serious face, said: "Show your skills."
"Here?"
"Right here. Don't worry, the Heavenly Dao Library isn't so easily damaged. Just show your abilities so I can tailor recomndations for you."
Hearing this, Li Feng nodded and imdiately perford the Sword Control Technique, the Fish Intestine Sword soaring into the air and moving according to his mind.
The librarian's face remained indifferent: "Next."
Li Feng then demonstrated the Nine Rhinoceros Technique.
The librarian's expression turned colder.
"Next."
Li Feng noticed the worsening expression on the librarian's face. Did he perform poorly? Taking a deep breath, he opened the Third Gate in the Eight Gates to show that he's not bad.
Upon opening the gates, Li Feng's muscles and bones crackled, exuding dominance, and the energy billowed, ruffling the librarian's clothes and hair.
"Enough, stop."
The librarian waved dismissively, then looked up at Li Feng, speechless: "Should I call you a peerless genius, or just say you're lucky to be alive after all that."
"Am I really that bad?"
The librarian snorted sarcastically; "That Sword Control Technique of yours? Even a three-year-old can do it. It's just mind control of objects, and you dare call it a Sword Control Technique? Don't embarrass yourself. If you used it as Sword Control, I'm sure the emperor who created it would climb out of the grave just to crush you with his little finger."
"And that Spirit Rhinoceros Technique? Also about the sa—barely learned the basics. You think transforming War Qi into a rhinoceros ans you've mastered it? Ridiculous."
"And opening the Eight Gates."
"You call that opening the Eight Gates? You're just courting death. The Eight Gates involve array techniques, and you recklessly open them? It's a miracle you're still alive."
Being scolded by the librarian left Li Feng feeling awkward: "Did I really use them wrong?"
"Used them wrong?"
"Leave out 'wrong.' The fact that you're alive to et is a miracle." The librarian rolled her eyes at Li Feng.
