"I’m already divorced, what do you think?"
"What, you got divorced?"
Jiang Nan turned around to look at Li Feng, and the next second, with her face flushed red, turned back around: "I didn’t see anything."
This is like crying that there’s no silver buried here, isn’t it.
Li Feng put on his underwear, donned a denim coat, and grabbed a jacket: "Where to?"
Jiang Nan turned to look at Li Feng: "You were married? Why did you get divorced? Hurry up and spill the beans."
"What’s there to say? It just didn’t work out, so we divorced."
"That’s evasive, huh."
Descending from the hotel, Jiang Nan led Li Feng straight to a luxurious two-wheeler motorcycle parked upfront.
Jiang Nan picked up a helt and handed it to Li Feng, then straddled the motorcycle: "Get on, sis will take you for a ride."
This was definitely Jiang Nan’s style.
Li Feng straddled the motorcycle, and Jiang Nan turned her head to him: "Hold on tight to my waist, my bike is pretty cool."
Li Feng wrapped his arms around Jiang Nan’s slender waist. Jiang Nan lowered her visor and revved up the motorcycle, and in the next second, they shot off like an arrow from a bow.
In less than ten minutes, they arrived at a street food stall.
"How was it? Pretty exhilarating, right?"
Jiang Nan’s starry eyes t Li Feng, who was behind her: "You’re still the sa as back then, with a man’s heart right here."
"Of course, how else would you be my bro."
Jiang Nan stretched out an arm and slung it around Li Feng’s neck, her nearly six-foot stature making it seem effortless beside him.
"Boss, the usual order, double portion, oh, and add ten more skewers of kidneys."
"Got it."
"I don’t eat kidneys," said Li Feng.
Jiang Nan turned to him with narrowed eyes: "Have so anyway. You’ve beco so frail now that you can’t even beat in a fight. Eat more to regain your strength. I’ll bring you to the club later and find you so pretty girls. It’s just a divorce. Once you’ve left one tree behind, there’s an entire forest ahead."
Li Feng rolled his eyes at her.
In front of the food stall, Li Feng and Jiang Nan toasted and drank as if they hadn’t been apart for years, as though everything had just happened yesterday.
Screech.
Suddenly, a sharp brake sounded outside the stall, and Li Feng looked up to see a sports car perform a 90-degree drift, its halogen headlights shining glaringly on the street food stall.
Li Feng squinted subconsciously.
Seconds later, the halogen lights turned off, and it took a mont for Li Feng to regain his vision. From the car, two people erged.
"Nannan, what a coincidence. Are you here for a late-night snack too?"
Jiang Nan turned to the two approaching individuals, her face turning gloomy.
"Gu Shian, could you please get as far away from as possible?"
The publicly squeezed Gu Shian’s face naturally turned sour as he turned to look at Li Feng, who was drinking and barbecuing with Jiang Nan.
"Kid, you’re treating my words like a breeze, aren’t you? She’s mine. Did you dare hit on her without asking ?"
Gu Shian said coldly to Li Feng.
"Gu Shian."
Li Feng’s brows furrowed; the na sounded familiar. He had a classmate by that na when he was studying in Jin City. He sized the man up and indeed found so resemblance, like the man’s sleazy little eyes.
"What are you staring at? Get lost!"
Gu Shian lashed out a slap towards Li Feng.
Li Feng caught the wrist in one hand and kicked him on the shinbone, catching Gu Shian completely off guard that he would dare to strike back.
Thump.
Gu Shian imdiately fell to his knees before Li Feng. He Qian stood beside him, staring agape at the scene, thinking this guy had a death wish to lay hands on Gu Shian.
Hiss.
Regaining his senses from the shock, Gu Shian looked up at Li Feng: "You dare touch ? Do you know who I am?"
"Gu Shian, Gu Fatty, you’ve lost a lot of weight, but this arrogant and obnoxious attitude is just as annoying as ever."
Huh?
The man recognized him. It had been years since soone called him by the nickna Gu Fatty.
"Li Feng, you’re Li Feng!"
Gu Shian did not expect to see him, but He Qian suddenly rembered soone from his past, soone morable.
"Li Feng."
As Gu Shian looked at Li Feng, a flood of mories ca to him. Rembering the past, this bastard had made him kneel before, turning him into a laughingstock at school.
"It really is you. What a small world. Perfect ti to settle both old and new scores."
As Gu Shian looked at Li Feng again, there was no joy of old classmates reuniting, but rather a glint of fury in his eyes.
Back in school, the two were archrivals; he had fancied the school beauty, who in turn liked Li Feng. That made him lose face, and eventually, they had fought, or more accurately, he attacked Li Feng, only to be promptly subdued with a wrist-lock, humiliating him in front of many, an eternal sha in his life.
"Oh, by the way, do you still rember Yang Ye, the school beauty who used to hang out with you?"
