The gun didn’t fire.

Li Feng raised his eyes and smirked slightly, "Do you really want to kill ? I don’t think we have any feud."

Lei Yi had never expected Li Feng to counterattack in this situation. Watching Li Feng grab the gun barrel, Lei Yi instantly took action, moving in for close combat.

He was no slouch; his fighting capabilities were formidable. In this camp, except for Ma Zhanshan, who could slightly surpass him, he was almost unbeatable, even ranking in the top ten among the trusted aides of Sha Wang.

"Die."

Lei Yi burst forth with a powerful force; his elbow forcefully aid a blow toward Li Feng’s head. Compared in physique, his height at over 1.9 ters and weight of 200 kilograms easily overpowered Li Feng.

Huh.

Li Feng snorted coldly and reached out to grab the gun barrel, sending the gun flying as he blocked with his hand, while his thumb pressed against his opponent’s side rib near the kidney.

A clever force seed to infiltrate everywhere, and Lei Yi instantly felt a piercing pain, his strength dissipating by half, his blocking hand caught in a reverse grip.

Lei Yi was imdiately subdued by Li Feng with a joint-locking technique, roaring in anger, but no matter how he struggled, he couldn’t break free from Li Feng’s control.

Crack.

Li Feng dislocated Lei Yi’s shoulder joint, causing Lei Yi to break out in cold sweat on his forehead, "Damn it, you’re so dead, you’re so dead!"

Lei Yi roared loudly, while Li Feng, with a nonchalant face, grabbed Lei Yi’s other arm and with a crack, dislocated that too. Then he swiftly pulled a dagger from Lei Yi’s thigh.

"If I were you, I’d stay quiet."

Holding the dagger against Lei Yi’s throat, Li Feng gently cut the skin, blood flowing along the blade edge.

Under the threat of death, Lei Yi cald down, "You plan to take hostage and escape? Huh, I advise you to abandon that idea; you won’t make it."

"How would you know without trying?"

"Huh, then give it a try. If you can escape from Paradise Island, I’ll deem myself your grandchild."

"You’re too old a grandchild for to recognize."

Li Feng retorted sarcastically, "But how about we make a bet?"

"A bet?"

"Yes, we bet on who among us will survive in the end."

Li Feng declared.

Lei Yi scoffed, "What kind of bet is that? I’m in your hands now. If you want to kill , it’s just a matter of one stroke."

"Of course, I’m not just going to kill you like that. I’ll let you go, but after I leave this place."

After saying this, Li Feng turned to Bai Lang, "Brother Wolf, do a favor; there’s a backpack over there, help fill it with food and water."

Bai Lang rolled his eyes, wondering what this kid was up to.

Kang Yu watched Li Feng holding Lei Yi hostage with a grim face, "Zhao Chaotian, do you know what you’re doing? Let go of Lei Yi now. I assure you, with my guarantee, no one will dare touch you."

Obviously, Kang Yu had not expected Zhao Chaotian to be so formidable, making him want to recruit him. Lei Yi was no match for him, and if he could train a group of people for him, wouldn’t that position him as the next Sha Wang?

While his father, despite his age, still held his position, relying on the military power around him, though his brothers each managed a portion within Yan Country and seed to have significant influence, it was still minor skirmishes in Yan Country.

Unlike his father, who monopolized an island; the reason those in Yan Country were willing to cooperate was precisely because they valued his father’s power.

Li Feng felt amused as he saw Lei Yi beaten, although he didn’t show it on his face.

Li Feng turned to Kang Yu, knowing that his recent actions had already induced a desire in him to recruit Li Feng. However, it was not enough yet.

Paradise Island was the Kang’s private territory. Regardless of other matters, Lei Yi had just shown open disregard for Kang Yu, making it clear that his assurance was worthless.

Li Feng did not want to entrust his life to such futile promises.

"Master Kang Yu, it’s not that I don’t listen to you, but I don’t trust anyone’s assurance now. Lei Yi doesn’t respect you at all. If I let him go and he turns against , I would die without even knowing why."

"I’m sorry, Master Kang Yu. I don’t want to drag you down. From now on, whether I, Zhao Chaotian, live or die will be decided by fate."

"But I still have one thing to say. I, Zhao Chaotian, am not an undercover agent. Whether you believe it or not, Master Kang Yu, this is goodbye."

"Why must you do this?"

Kang Yu’s mood was a complex mixture of feelings. "Bai Lang, pack the things. Zhao Chaotian, since you’ve made up your mind, I won’t stop you. But rember one thing: you must not harm my brother Lei Yi’s life or my father will not spare you."

In Kang Yu’s heart, he wished Li Feng would kill Lei Yi, but he couldn’t say it aloud. Moreover, he knew that now was not the ti to eliminate Lei Yi. If Lei Yi were to die, the other party would have no way out.

Bai Lang turned and began to pack food and drinks into Li Feng’s backpack. In this tent and on this island, food was not scarce, as Paradise Island did not produce its food; all of it was bought from outside.

The camp was designed like a military base, largely stocked with military food and various canned goods. Bai Lang, perceptive of Kang Yu’s intentions though not optimistic about Li Feng’s survival, still wished to earn so good karma.

What if this young man really did survive?

Bai Lang packed a large amount of food and drinks, even cramming a pistol and plenty of bullets into the bag, along with a map. Then he carried the backpack over to Li Feng.

"Here are the food and water you requested."

"Thank you."

Li Feng glanced at Bai Lang, having kept an eye on him. Li Feng had seen Bai Lang packing the gun.

Li Feng lifted the backpack onto his shoulders, the thirty-kilogram weight providing him a familiar comfort, not feeling much pressure from the load.

Moreover, he had enough food and drink on him for ten days, half a month, or even more. But that was, in fact, unnecessary because the island wasn’t short of food supplies at all.

"If you don’t want to see him die, step back!"

Li Feng glanced at the soldiers outside, his dagger pressed against Lei Yi’s throat.

"If you don’t move, and Lei Yi dies, you’ll all die."

At that mont, Ma Zhanshan, holding his shoulder, appeared and yelled at the hesitant guards.

"Drop your weapons and get out of the way."

Several of Lei Yi’s trusted aides ordered their n to lay down their arms. Lei Yi was, after all, the Kang Family Head’s adopted son. If he died, they couldn’t answer for it.

Lei Yi also kept his mouth shut, silent. He feared death, but his inherent ruthlessness prevented him from begging for rcy.

Li Feng, holding Lei Yi hostage, walked through the layers of encirclent.

"Don’t follow in. I will release him in ten minutes. If you dare to follow, well..."

Li Feng turned back and spoke harshly.

"Fine, I’ll give you twenty minutes to escape. If I don’t see Lei Yi back after twenty minutes, I’ll turn this island upside down to find you and deal with you."

Ma Zhanshan’s face was cold as he raised his watch.
