The clown looked at the screen, his face sowhat distorted, his hands continually pressing the control buttons, but no matter how much he pressed, there was no response.
"Fuck!"
The clown, in a rage, threw the detonator he held onto the ground. How could his ticulously laid plan possibly fail? Where did it go wrong?
"Who, who are you?"
The clown suddenly lifted his head to see two strangers, a man and a woman walking in.
"Are you Zero?"
The clown looked up, "I have no idea what you’re talking about. Who are you guys, and why did you enter my room? Get out now, or I’ll call security."
"Call, go ahead."
"To think you’d carry out your scheming over our heads; who gave you the courage and audacity? Did you really think that just because you were hiding deep enough, inconspicuous enough, you could play the mastermind from behind the scenes?"
The man looked disdainfully at the young man opposite him, whose half face was grotesque, seemingly scorched, one side extrely fierce and horrifying, the kind that could give soone nightmares. As for the other half of the face, it looked sowhat pale.
The man walked forward, picking up a clown mask from the side table, and tried it on his face.
"Clown mask."
"Heh, it seems you have so misunderstandings about clowns. Have you been watching too many superhero movies to think you can be like one?"
"I don’t understand what you’re saying."
The man huffed and then suddenly kicked the clown man in the shin, and with a thud, the clown man went down on his knees.
"Don’t understand?"
The man sat on the sofa: "Then let make it clear to you. You picked the wrong target. You are a hacker, right? Seed like your skills were not too shabby. You must be confused now, aren’t you?"
"Want to know?"
"You must really want to know."
"Actually, it’s quite simple. You think you’re aweso, very impressive, but as long as one understands a bit of the principle, dismantling it is not that hard."
The clown man, hearing what the other said, looked unconvinced.
"Impossible."
"The notification of the banquet was only given on the sa day. From the mont you received the news to the ti you set the stage, it’s already quite remarkable that you could complete the entire setup."
"Who dismantled it, Li Feng? Impossible, I’ve been watching him the entire ti," the clown man said through gritted teeth.
"Of course it wasn’t him, but there was another person on the scene. When your attention was drawn elsewhere, it had already been dismantled."
"It was just to catch you that we took so long."
"No, That’s impossible; I didn’t leave any traces. How could you possibly have found ."
"Didn’t leave any traces?"
"You are really naive. But alright, you are sowhat clever and careful. However, if you wanted to control the hotel’s fire suppression system, you would need to intrude into the hotel’s internal network, and indeed I guessed you would be at the Century Hotel, so all that was left was to find you."
"Luckily, tracking you down really didn’t take much effort, with you skulking about like that, not looking like anything good."
The clown man hadn’t expected to et his downfall in such an ignominious way.
"Li Feng?"
"Who exactly is he?"
"Heh, dead n don’t need to know too much."
Hearing the man’s words, the clown man’s face instantly turned pale, and he tried to bolt out of the room. Unfortunately, while his reaction wasn’t slow, the woman seated on the sofa’s armrest was quicker. A thread thin as a spider silk shot directly from the ring on her finger, winding around the clown man’s neck.
The next second.
A hair-thin line appeared on the clown man’s neck, and he thumped to the ground.
The man looked at the fallen clown, covering his forehead, "I’m saying, couldn’t you have just used your hands to knock him out, why did you have to go for his neck?"
"Knock him out? Is he even of use anymore?"
"At least we wouldn’t have to clean the floor."
"I’m not the one cleaning anyway," the woman retorted with a snooty pout. "What about the boss?"
"Not necessary. We ca back to get married. Today’s events were purely accidental. We had better hurry up and get ready; we’re eting your parents soon, and getting ti off wasn’t easy."
The banquet.
Li Feng was being pointed at and verbally attacked, but he stepped forward with a disdainful smirk, "Point at again, I dare you!"
"What if I do point at you?"
The man, choked up by Li Feng’s retort, certainly wasn’t going to admit defeat. Li Feng snorted coldly and in a flash, bent the man’s finger back and kicked the front of his shin bone squarely.
Thud.
The man imdiately went down on his knee.
"Well, go on, point."
Hiss.
The man whose finger was bent by Li Feng changed color, and Li Feng swept his frosty gaze around, "Anyone who disagrees, feel free to step up. If Li Feng so much as furrows his brow, I’ll take your last na!"
"Co on, where’s that resolve from when you intended to kill just now?"
As Li Feng spoke, he lifted his foot and kicked the man in front of him squarely in the chest, sending him flying back several ters and causing him to crash into others, toppling several people.
"You must want to say Li Feng has annoyed the public, you’ve offended everyone here."
Li Feng chuckled.
"Heh, you might forget, but I rember. Those who charged at wanting to kill ; I, Li Feng, have them all morized. You wanted dead, and now you’ve made a serious enemy. Since you didn’t finish off, then you’d better be prepared!"
"When I take over Century Group, I’ll teach each and every one of you how to write the word ’daddy.’"
"Let’s just wait and see."
Li Feng’s snide laughter swept over those present; they no longer possessed the fierce montum from before, just a bunch of nobodies.
