Li Feng paid no heed to Liu Ruyi; the little girl had no idea what had just unfolded. Even from a distance, Li Feng could sll the animosity emanating from Cui Jia.
Those few foreign assassins were dead, and their deaths mattered little. Yet, soone dared to pin the bla on him.
They really took him for an easy mark, soone to handle at will.
Zhou You.
Li Feng huffed coldly. Since they had the audacity to provoke him first, they couldn’t bla him for not showing any face. Li Feng left the interrogation room.
"Stop right there! Don’t move, or I’ll shoot."
Li Feng looked at the person pointing a handgun at him and raised his hands, "Don’t shoot, I surrender."
"Turn around and place your hands on the wall."
Li Feng turned, and as the person beside him reached for the handcuffs, intent on restraining him, he twisted his body like lightning. With a swift counter-grappling move followed by a shove, his assailant face-planted into the ground.
The ard person dodged his colleague’s fall and aid once more, only to find Li Feng was already upon him. Li Feng seized the gun barrel, making it impossible for the other to pull the trigger.
Li Feng struck with the side of his hand, instantly knocking his opponent unconscious.
These office employees, who probably hadn’t fired guns more than a few tis, used them as re tools of intimidation. Li Feng promptly dismantled the pistol he snatched and removed the bullets from the magazine.
Seeing more people appear, Li Feng flung the bullets as hidden weapons, sending everyone before him tumbling to the ground. With a tap of his toe, he pounced like a cheetah, quickly closing the distance. In the blink of an eye, not one of those trying to intercept him remained standing.
Liu Ruyi burst out of the interrogation room to see Li Feng stepping over the bodies of her colleagues. Was he out of his mind?
No one could stop Li Feng if he wanted to leave.
Indifferent to those around him, Li Feng walked outside, gazed at the moon, and drove off in a car.
"What the hell happened?"
Liu Ruyi looked at her livid superior, about to explain when Cui Jia, bloody-mouthed, stumbled out of the interrogation room leaning against the wall.
"Chief, it’s Li Feng. His murder case was exposed, and he reacted violently, injuring people and fleeing. Chief, this man is extrely dangerous. I recomnd deploying an action team to capture him, and we should be prepared to shoot if necessary."
Sima Yan’s face darkened.
Yet Cui Jia continued, "Chief, there’s no need for hesitation. He injured so many of us and left as if our office was nothing. It doesn’t matter if he’s the CEO of Century. Even if he were the Emperor himself, he must be brought to justice."
Sima Yan looked at Cui Jia. He was well aware of how disgraceful it was to have soone walk out so defiantly, but the phone call he had just received posed a bigger issue.
This Li Feng—he was the son of that particular person.
A few rcenaries had crossed the border with weapons, seeking to assassinate him. What conspiracy lay behind all this made the matter even more complex.
At a KTV VIP room.
Cui Jun walked into the private room beaming with joy, heading straight to Gao Feng, "Young Master Gao, I’ve got so good news that’s sure to lift your spirits."
Gao Sheng looked up gloomily at Cui Jun, took a big gulp of beer, clearly dismissing Cui Jun’s words. Cui Jun signaled to the model next to him, who stood to give up her seat.
Leaning forward, Cui Jun whispered sothing into Sheng Feng’s ear.
Gao Sheng froze, then exploded, "Damn it, shut your mouth." Gao Feng slamd his beer onto the floor and turned to look at Cui Jun.
"Are you serious?"
Cui Jun nodded, "I got it from my brother."
"Tell exactly what happened," Gao Sheng demanded, suddenly brimming with energy. These past few days he had been simring with frustration. Not only had he been humiliated in Sea City, but the incident with Zhou You in his territory had put his mbership in an elite club on the line. Now, he was practically a laughingstock.
The thought of Li Feng, the main culprit, twisted Gao Sheng’s heart in agony. He wished he could tear Li Feng limb from limb, quarter his body with horses.
These past few days, he hadn’t even dared to go ho—for fear of letting his family see the wounds on his face, and the sha it would bring.
As for suing?
Gao Sheng wouldn’t lose that much face, and besides, he knew his old man well, whether Li Feng would end up unlucky, he wasn’t sure, but he’d definitely get a scolding.
"I heard soone tried to off the bastard, but the guy got lucky and they didn’t manage to kill him. But several people died at the scene, and Li Feng can’t shirk the bla. He’s already been taken away for murder, definitely enough to give him a hard ti,"
Cui Jun said.
Gao Sheng chuckled, feeling instantly better. So, Li Feng, you’re asking for it, but soone wanted to kill Li Feng?
Gao Sheng’s mind raced, thinking back to when Zhou You told him not to do anything, indeed.
"Plus, the one handling this case is my brother Cui Jia. With this Li surna guy in our hands, he can forget about turning over a new leaf, he’s done for."
"Hey, Cui Jun, you tell your brother, as long as he can get Li Feng locked up, I owe him a favor."
Gao Sheng stood up and picked up his drink: "Co on, cheers."
Cui Jun picked up his drink and clinked glasses with Gao Feng. The previously oppressive private room suddenly livened up. Gao Sheng wrapped his arm around the waist of the young model next to him; he hadn’t been in the mood before, but now he was full of enthusiasm.
Cui Jun smirked, though Gao Sheng had been greatly embarrassed at Wohuling earlier, as long as his old man remained in his position, who would dare to criticize him?
That Li Feng.
This ti, he wouldn’t be let off easily.
Cui Jun thought to himself when suddenly, bang, the door to the private room was kicked open, and he choked on his drink mid-swallow.
Cough, cough cough.
Fuck, who the hell dares to burst into their room?
Li Feng walked into the room, leaped up to stand on the wine-stained marble table, looking down at Gao Feng who was fooling around with the girl in his arms.
"Li Feng."
Gao Sheng also saw Li Feng, his face turned sour imdiately. Shit, wasn’t this bastard supposed to be arrested?
Gao Sheng turned his head and glared at Cui Jun, who also looked totally baffled.
Li Feng grabbed a wine bottle, threw it back at the TV on the wall, and with a bang, the TV shattered, going silent imdiately.
"You, you were supposed to be arrested."
"Are you guys confessing without being pressured?" Li Feng squinted at Cui Jun, while Gao Feng swallowed hard, once bitten, twice shy.
"Li Feng, this matter of sending soone to kill you has nothing to do with us,"
Gao Sheng said, trying to sound fierce but inwardly faltering.
Li Feng uttered an "Oh": "If it’s not you, then it must be the Grand Club."
Gao Feng’s eyes flicked around: "Right, the one who wants you dead is the club. You hit a mber of the club; how can they turn a blind eye? If they don’t take you down, where is the club’s authority?"
Gao Feng wasn’t entirely spouting nonsense here. The power of this club—hmph, did this guy really dare to ss with it?
That would just an he’s asking to die faster.
Gao Feng didn’t mind letting Li Feng go find his own death.
Li Fengtu’s lips suddenly curled up, he reached out and grabbed a bottle of red wine and smashed it over Gao Feng’s head.
Crash.
The wine bottle shattered, a model next to them scread sharply.
Gao Feng’s head was buzzing, blood mixing indistinguishably with the red wine as it flowed down from his forehead.
"Do you think I’m a fucking idiot?"
