The people at the round table listened to Lu Siyu’s suggestion and fell into deep thought. They weren’t fools; Li Feng’s rule was that there were no rules—as long as you put forwards the silver, he didn’t care how those present would compete.
As the saying goes, free stuff is the most expensive. Similarly, an auction without rules also implies no bottom line, which might result in a greater cost in the end.

Zhu Jun slapped the table.
"President Lu’s suggestion is quite good, but Zhang Chang also makes a point. I suggest we compromise. Each family contributes a share of thirty billion. If you can put forward more than thirty billion in funds, then bring out the silver. Don’t try to fob us off with stock, real estate, or anything else. Whoever can show they have more funding now—funding that ans cash or governnt bonds, which are readily liquid—will get a higher share upon verification. I hope everyone agrees with this."
Zhu Jun’s words led to people exchanging glances.

"Eighty billion," Zhu Jun stated, causing the others to look at him. Damn, it’s no wonder he’s from one of Jin City’s top ten families—seriously rich.
Zhu Jun’s face remained composed, but his heart was full of emotion. He had received prior notice from Li Feng and knew that tonight’s gathering was no simple affair. The funds he had were not just his own but belonged to the top ten families.
"Shuangshuang, aren’t you planning to contribute a bit more?"
Ma Shuangshuang looked at Lu Siyu and smiled knowingly, "Five hundred billion, though I’ll need to make a phone call."

"That Cui Boyu loves to sche and thinks too highly of himself. I want to see how he struts around now."
Li Jingwei’s face darkened suddenly, "And the bad news? You’re not about to tell Li Feng’s side has failed, are you?"
The bodyguard nodded, "Yes, the Mad Blade was defeated by Li Feng and was thrown out of Outer Heaven."
"What about the money?"
"It’s been returned; the man went to the airport to go back."
Li Jingwei’s expression beca grave, "What exactly is Li Feng’s background? Isn’t Mad Blade known for not having anyone left alive beneath his blade? Was that all just bluster?"
