"Feng, so shareholders from the Sihai network are starting to panic, getting ready to find soone else to offload their shares, but there’s soone guiding them from behind, and they’re asking for quite a high price."

"Just take it over. Money issues are not issues at all."

Li Feng’s combination punches were aid right at the Qi Family’s lifeline, and he definitely didn’t plan on giving them a chance to catch their breath and regroup.

"Okay, then I’ll find soone to talk to them tomorrow."

"I have an incoming call, I’ll get in touch after acquiring those shares." Li Feng switched calls and answered Hu Jing’s call.

"Old classmate, you can’t possibly be missing this soon."

"Stop it, you." Hu Jing playfully scolded, "Li Feng, the class belle just called , asking for your number. I ca to ask you, should I give it to her or not?"

"Do you want to give it, or do you not?"

Li Feng didn’t answer directly, but countered with a question. However, the fact that Tong Qian was asking Hu Jing for his number did take Li Feng by surprise. As for the corridor incident where Li Feng cornered Tong Qian and said he wanted her to be his girlfriend, that was totally deliberate. Besides, the two were each other’s first loves; they hadn’t seen each other for seven or eight years. Was there a chance to rekindle that old fla?

Hu Jing spat out in disgust, "Li Feng, you’ve really picked up so bad habits. So smooth with words, oh well, I bet your heart has already flown to the class belle. Just wait for her call."

Hu Jing hung up, feeling a slight pang of loss. She couldn’t say she lacked beauty; though not as dazzling as Tong Qian, she was still a top-notch beauty. And now that she knew Li Feng’s low-key identity, Hu Jing indeed harbored a hint of a different kind of thought.

It wasn’t that Hu Jing was vain, it’s just that which woman doesn’t want to marry an outstanding man?

Hu Jing was also aware that Li Feng and Tong Qian had a past, and one’s first love is often the hardest to forget. However, she didn’t feel discouraged; Tong Qian was now a star, and a very popular one at that. The entertainnt industry was a place of constant gossip, so she might still have a chance.

Hu Jing sent Li Feng’s number to Tong Qian from her phone, who thanked her and imdiately dialed Li Feng’s number.

Li Feng’s phone, which he had barely set down, rang with an unknown number. With Hu Jing’s heads-up, he knew instantly who it was and pressed the answer button.

"Hello, Li Feng, it’s ."

Li Feng humd a response, "What’s up?"

Tong Qian, upon hearing Li Feng’s indifferent tone, felt inexplicably uncomfortable: "Can’t I look for you if there’s nothing important? Big boss Li, you really tricked so badly."

"How did I trick you? I never said I was a security guard, that’s just what you guys thought," Li Feng listened to the slightly resentful voice on the other end.

"But you let us believe it, treated us like monkeys, is that funny to you?"

"I never saw it that way; just think it’s not necessary to explain so much. It’s not like if soone calls a security guard, I should correct them by saying I’m the owner of this hotel. That would make look pretentious."

Tong Qian puckered her lips, huffed through her nose: "That bottle of red wine you gave away was quite pretentious, you know."

Tong Qian said, and then biting her lip, took the initiative to ask: "Could we et?"

Li Feng was silent for two seconds: "Where?"

"Our alma mater; it’s been a long ti since I last visited."

"That bookstore should still be open," Tong Qian replied, and Li Feng agreed, "Okay."

"Probably still open."

Tong Qian felt her spirits lift, hung up the phone, and carefully applied makeup at the vanity. She changed into a new outfit and left the house, driving herself towards Huacheng.

The bookstore across from Huacheng No. 1 Middle School.

Tong Qian opened the car door, stepped out wearing a baseball cap, her face covered with a mask leaving only her eyes visible. She glanced around before entering the bookstore.

It didn’t take long for Tong Qian to spot Li Feng behind a bookshelf on the second floor. She took off her mask, took a deep breath, and walked towards Li Feng.

"Li Feng."

Li Feng turned his head back to look at Tong Qian, "You’re here."

"This place really hasn’t changed much since I last ca here, still has the sa old flavour."

Tong Qian looked at Li Feng, "Li Feng, I’m sorry."

Li Feng turned around and walked towards Tong Qian, stretching out his hand for a wall-slam as he looked at her, "Here we go again. If you’re really so sorry, have you thought about how you’re going to make it up to !"

A wicked smile curved up the corners of Li Feng’s mouth. When he was at the restaurant, he deliberately showed off his wealth and even had the waiter put on an act. It wasn’t just to slap Yang Lin in the face, but also for Tong Qian to see.

Originally, so much ti had passed that Li Feng had almost forgotten, but Tong Qian’s apology once again evoked those buried mories.

mories of betrayal.

Tong Qian let out an ’ah’ sound, leaning against the bookshelf behind her, looking up at the overbearing Li Feng lifting her chin.

"Li Feng, don’t be like this."

"Don’t be like what?"

Li Feng leaned down to look at Tong Qian, "You already left, but now you call and ask to et in the bookstore we used to frequent. You can’t seriously just be planning to give a simple apology."

"No, it’s not that."

Tong Qian looked at Li Feng’s approaching face, her heart in turmoil.

"Not what? If I were that security guard, would you still have called ?" Li Feng’s fingers caressed Tong Qian’s delicate cheek causing her body to suddenly stiffen, and she looked up sharply at Li Feng.

"Is that how you see ?"

Li Feng suddenly pulled a book from the shelf and tossed it toward the end of the aisle.

Tong Qian watched Li Feng’s action and turned her head. She recognized at a glance that it was one of the entertainnt gossip journalists, also known as the paparazzi.

"Li Feng, he’s a paparazzo, he just took a photo."

The gossip journalist who was hit by the book stumbled and quickly twisted to run downstairs. Li Feng chased after him with the speed of an arrow, grabbing his shoulder and dragging him back, then threw him hard to the ground.

"Cara, mory card."

"What are you doing, what do you want to do? You’re not thinking of openly robbing , are you? There are caras here," the gossip journalist clung to his cara and started to play the fool.

Tong Qian looked anxious. She didn’t want to hit the headlines, especially since her current situation would be difficult to handle if she was embroiled in a scandal, especially if Yang Lin found out she was eting with Li Feng—it could lead to unpredictable complications.

"We can’t let him take the cara away, otherwise our photos will be all over tomorrow’s entertainnt news."

The position they had just been in was quite ambiguous, not sothing easily explainable. Furthermore, once it hit the news, Li Feng’s identity would be exposed. If it were only the story of Li Feng’s first love it might not be too bad, but if the story of Li Feng’s severe injury and prison ti ca to light, Tong Qian didn’t even dare to think further.

Li Feng leaned over and struck directly at the temples of the paparazzo with his fist, knocking him out cold.

Tong Qian stood by, stunned, turning her head to Li Feng, "You didn’t kill him, did you?"

Li Feng took out the cara from the man’s hand and glanced at Tong Qian, "He’s just knocked out, I wouldn’t kill soone over a few photos."

"The shots are pretty professional."

Tong Qian turned to look and from the angle of the photos, it almost seed like Li Feng had kissed her, "Delete it quickly."

Tong Qian moved forward to snatch the cara, almost throwing her whole body onto Li Feng in her haste. Li Feng was caught off guard, tripped over, and Tong Qian fell on top of him. Due to the force of gravity and inertia, her lips landed on Li Feng’s.
