[VRMMO] Chaos Doctor Chapter 343 - 342– Earth dragon advance – Part 3

"What are we looking at here?" – asked the muscular lizardman soldier who was standing on top of the wooden wall.

"Treants. An army of them, to be exact." – said the lizardman soldier.

"There are also ancient treats among the enemy army as well as the giant treants."

"Their forces are split and coming from multiple directions."

"Sir." – said the second lizardman soldier who approached while having a worried expression on his face.

"So parts of the walls are still damaged from our attacks."

"The defense will not be easy."

"I can tell…. Elves? Did you see any?" – asked the muscular lizardman.

"No, sir. We haven't spotted them yet." – said the lizardman soldier.

"Then they are hiding sowhere. There is no way that the elves are not here….. They are planning sothing."

"!"

"You here too?" – asked the lizardman as he saw Doctor approaching him alongside the sli girl.

"…"

"Is that it?" – asked the Doctor while looking at the approaching army through his telescope.

"…"

(I can't tell really how many are coming… They are using the forest to blend in and stay hidden…. That is pretty surprising because they are giant ass trees just moving around…. Nah, it wouldn't work. I an, giant ass trees moving around are not sothing you can miss…. So sort of skill, I'm 100% sure of it.) – though surprised Phantasia.

(Was the whole takeover of the city a trap?)

(Did they know that we would win the battle, and they instantly prepared for the ambush afterward?)

(Nah…. Sothing still ain't sitting right.)

(They are planning sothing different…. But what?)

"Sothing isn't right about this attack."

"You can tell as well?" – asked lizardman.

"Yeah…I don't like this." – said the Doctor while continuing to look around, before few monts later putting away his telescope.

"I can use my undeads as at shields, but the big enemies will definitely break through them."

"The drakes will block them." – said the muscular lizardman.

"But the most annoying problem is that we don't know how many enemies are out there. We need to split up our forces and watch out for any attacks that could possibly co from any direction."

"Maparapara." – said the Doctor.

"Can you sohow slow down so of these monsters?"

"Yeb. I'm used to blocking and crushing big ass bastards." – replied Maparapara.

"Good. Then I will also join the frontlines in my monster form. I will try to hold them off." – said the Doctor.

The army of the tree monsters was slowly approaching the city from multiple directions, but the dragon clan was not scared as they prepared to fight, preparing their giant dragon monsters alongside the Doctor, who went to the frontlines with his monsters as well as Maparapara who both then transford into their giant monsters forms, getting ready for the combat.

And before long, the elven monster army clashed with the dragon forces, causing an all-out battle to occur.

The cannons were fired.

The claws clashed.

The dragon breaths were fired.

Instantly, the entire battlefield turned chaotic.

However, from the get-go, it was obvious that even though the dragon clan forces were still showing signs of exhaustion from the previous massive siege battle.

But even they didn't give up as the dragon clan forces showed their resolve in the battle as well as their stubbornness.

There were casualties on both sides, but overall, the earth dragon side was able to keep their line of defense solid, as not even a single enemy was able to break through.

The elven forces had send the giant treants to go and destroy everything in their path, but thanks to the Maparapara interference, the giants attacks were stopped and their movents were restricted, giving the Doctor and the drakes chance to blast the enemies with their breath/gun fire, resulting in the giant enemies being pushed back or being completely torn to shreds.

"…"

(Damn. There are a lot of them.) – though Phantasia, as he ripped apart the giant treant and then saw right past even more enemies coming his way.

(The soldiers are exhausted…. But I think we should be able to do it?)

(However, we have yet to see anything "special" at all…. What are these bastards planning?)

The siege attack launched by the elven treant forces was rciless…. But it wasn't one-sided.

The battle lasted for hours…. And in the end, the dragon forces were able to repel the enemy, winning the battle…. But not without the cost.

"The defensive wall had been damaged further…. And we have even more injured soldiers." – said the female dragonewt after the battle had ended and the army higher-ups had gathered for the eting.

"With our current state, we cannot march forward even if we wanted to… The enemy made sure of that."

"Oh, for fuck sake!" – shouted the male dragonewt.

"What do we do now?"

"We can try to repair the walls, but what if the enemy attacks us again?"

"What if it wasn't the last wave?"

"A trap…. These guys prepared a trap for us, and we fell for it." – said the general.

"The question is now how we will get out of this situation."

"We can try going back…. But if we do, we will lose a solid location for our invasion… And if the enemy takes back this place, then their defenses will be restored."

"But if we stay here, we will be sitting ducks." – said the Doctor.

"The enemy wants us to be in a no-win situation right now."

"They want to keep us AWAY from the capital city…. But for what reason?"

The people in the room began arguing with each other, with so saying that the army should retreat, but others saying that the army should stay and focus on the defense.

(Dammit…. The situation turned chaotic.) – though the earth dragon general.

(Like the Doctor said, the ideal situation would be to retreat and recover, before coming back…. But the enemy goal is to clearly stall for the ti.)

(More of our brethren are coming to assist us, but…..Dammit! I don't know what to do!?)

(If we retreat, then we will lose this location.)

(But if we don't, then our main army could end up sustaining critical damage….. Between rock and hard place, huh?)

(No matter which situation we choose, we will be playing right into the enemy's hands.)

(This isn't going anywhere.) – though Doctor as he stood up.

"I'm leaving the eting a bit earlier. I'm going to look around on my own." – said the Doctor before leaving the room alongside the sli girl and then returning back to their building base.

"So…. What do we?" - asked Maparapara.

"Pfffff…. No idea…. Honestly, I wasn't expecting this, but the elves had really gotten us good this ti." – said Doctor as he sat down.

"Going back is both the best and the worst option we have right now…. But honestly, I can't think of a way for us to sohow push forward."

"The capital city will also be heavily defended and stuff…. And if we consider the current state of our army, it won't cut it… They will get wiped out."

"There is also a chance that the whole "treant attack" was just ant to scare us, while in reality they cannot send another army like this….
